ntyce:

was taking yu serious until I read Ugo.
Ugo ke?
can NEVER be in top 5, his position is 6th.
The guy don offend awon boiz.

Though he's the most talented but that won't earn him the prize.

Don't be surprised MTN might decide to compensate him all his sacrifices in the house, at least wasn't that why they kept him in the house till now?
TV/Movies / Re: Mtn Project Fame Season 7.0 Official Thread by tominiyiE: 3:37pm On Sep 26, 2014
orekelewa9: my own prediction is Clement will be the winner, Geoffrey first runner up, rukky, emeka, Christian will share d rest./ Daniella is going with nothing including Debbie.

teamemeka tho but his peeps ain't voting

Hmmm do you think the winners are being decided by JUST the votes? MTN go add their own brain too.

By the way #teamEmekus dey vote ooo.

How can Clement win? Only possible by ojoro and that kain ojoro no get sense.
TV/Movies / Re: Mtn Project Fame Season 7.0 Official Thread by tominiyiE: 3:24pm On Sep 26, 2014
My own prediction;

I am 100% sure Daniella and Debbie will end up with nothing.

Clement MAY end up with nothing.

The winner is between Geoffrey and Emeka.

Christian, Rukky and Ugo will share the remaining amongst themselves

BUT....

If Geoffrey wins, then Rukky takes 1st runner up and Emeka take 2nd runner up.

Clement MAY surprise us with his position displacing Ugo.

Did I leave anyone out?

#teamEmekus.

#Randomtalk

So Shola has been retweeting Debbie's tweets and Flourish retweeting Christian's tweets cool cool cool cool

Any news from/about Lami and Oge? They seem to have just disappeared. I doubt if they are really passionate about music as a career.

Kofo released a single so I read.

Deris God ooo.

delovivada:

The contestants dont wear their own clothes. They are all being dressed up and made up by makeup artists. The only thing I don't know is if they would be allowed to take all the dresses/outfits back home after d show.

Well if MTN can go all the way to get clothes tailored to their sizes, why won't they let them go with it? At least that will be a great consolation prize for the four of them that won't go home with any prize. Infact I dey over feel those print jackets on Emeka, it will be such a shame if he gets to drop them.
TV/Movies / Re: Mtn Project Fame Season 7.0 Official Thread by tominiyiE: 7:20am On Sep 22, 2014
Please does anyone have know if the contestants are are being dressed up by MTN for the Elimination and Nomination nights or they are wear their own clothes?
Obviously Daniella and Ruky's style for the African night looks so similar.

i think its best you go with Justwise advice

Go ahead and apply for yourself since you have the requirements for yourself
write that your baby will come later when you have settled accomodation and other stuff

Since you have put in the necessary funds for her in your account here by the time you arrive the uk and find accomodation plus daycare the required number of days would be complete

Your husband can then apply for himself and the baby to bring them over using appropriate forms

Besides you will need those first two weeks to get accomodation and sort out her childcare because uk is not nigeria oh. you can not carry that child with you to school or lectures whilst you're sorting yourself out.

Lastly, you know you can also consider bringing in someone as a nanny from nigeria(she will come with your husband when he's bringing the baby), some mums prefer this option of someone they know compared to paying for childcare in the uk to people they dont know.
won't bringing a nanny require more maintenance funds(asides that of my husband and child)

I think what u should do is this..if your husband doesnt have any objection to going along with you (if your course is up to 12months,he can work IF HE CAN FIND WORK), then u should put the money in the bank now (read the maintenance requirements carefully o), go ahead and make your own application, but indicate that your family will be joining u later.around the time the 28 days will mature, your own visa should be out by then,so you can go ahead and resume in october. You'll see that the total period of separation from your baby will not be more than 3wks or thereabouts, you just have to be strong enough to bear those 3weeks o.and am sure your mother or sister or mother in law or sister in law will not object to taking care of a 9month old baby for 3 weeks on ur behalf.that does not make you a wicked mother and it could be for the good of the whole family....My own 2 cents!!
@penfold, i feel like throwing u a big hug from here. Thank so much. Looks like this can work.
Was just wondering if 3 weeks wont be too sooon to invite them(accomaodation issued settled)

justwise: They will apply as her dependant and the form is there as well.

It will be a good thing to make use of the blank page in the application form to state that she will be inviting her family later after she might have settled down.
How soon do you think this can be? 2 or 3 months?

Donxavier:

Great advice, this simplifies the whole process. My question is when she is there and now invites them, Will they(the husband and children) apply for a visitor's visa or what type of visa will they apply for?
Also will she need to state in her application that her husband and child will come and join her sometimes later or leave the dependant space blank.
penfold: @justwise
grin grin
The argument is about the sufficiency of the letter of consent.
I believe the letter of consent ALONE does not satisfy UKBA requirements. If there is something to hide, then the op would ave jumped at the opportunity to get off lightly. A letter is just a page!! But for a Tier 4 application,it is not sufficient.
@TominiyiE there is a link where the care arrangements for children thingy is mentioned, why dont u check that link? Although they were not specific whether its for a tier 4 (child)applicant in a foster home or boarding school or for all children!!
@justwise....you sure enjoy putting people on the spot o..... grin wink....something to hide....yeeepa!!!

Thanks y'all for the candid opinion. I will be considering my options. I know God has it all in control. One is sure I can't leave my baby.
Yea i checked the link with the child care stuff, guess they were referrin to tier(4) child applicant. I wish they were more explicit.
If I defer, I will lose the grant!!!. I pray they give an extension till about last week in Oct(if possible)

I dunno o...TominiyiE...this question is for you o!!! (Laffs)
But I sincerely believe that if the husband is not...then the case is already lost ab initio...with or without letter of consent, cuz one of the requirements for a child dependant is already being disregarded...or what do u think??
justwise:

Is op's husband travelling with her?
yeah, he can. But thats gonna delay my application. sad

Donxavier:

Thanks so much.
@TominiyiE
The letter of consent is necessary plus the required amount of funds.

@justwise,@Don, thanks so much. This just explains it all.It think the best bet is to go with one's husband.
I saw a line saying 'child-care policy' what does that mean really? and the 'family-oriented' accomodation, will a 2- bedroom flat convince the ECO?
My sponsorship letter came out and the amount didnt cover for my dependants. So I think we have to include the bank statement but that will delay my application.
Latest date of enrollment is 8th of Oct. I havent asked for an extension.
I am in a serous dilemma. Any Suggestion?

Yes, you need the consent of the father to travel with your baby. There are regulations, Justwise may help with the links. It's in one of the recent pages.
I tot you are being sponsored
@Justwise, pls send the link.
Yeah,m being sponsored but we are just trying to have a plan B(esp for my dependants).
U ve not answered the question. pls do

The scanned copy is for you, I'd just wanted it to come thru me so I can have a copy and keep in my archivescheesy. So what's your email addy?
Inform your school of your official sponsorship and when will they send your CAS since they are sponsoring your tuition...maybe you should email them.
I dunno if the ATAS can come in earlier, when did you apply for it?
@Don, Dharkchild, thanks so much for the letter. I will like to know if there are any regulations concerning travelling with your child(just 9 months).
I couldnt find any in the pbs dependant policy. Anyone who has done this can help to put me through. Also concerning bank statements, does it have to be a running acct(i.e can u just put the sum, maybe 2m and leave it till about 28 days, without transactions in between)

I applied for my ATAS last week angry
my email addy tobet18@yahoo.com. Do d school really have to state it in my CAS?

Your official sponsor isn't a problem. It's ok. You need a letter of official sponsorship from them stating in very specific terms how they will sponsor you and what they will be responsible for. It's important you get this part right.
Dharkchild or Justwise may provide the links so you can read exactly what is required in a letter of sponsorship.
Do you already have your CAS? Is it a full schorlarship? You need to inform the school of this so they update it in your CAS.
You don't need the university's bank statement just the letter is enough.
What you submit will depend on what's in your CAS.
Yes the ATAS clearance takes 20 working days or so.
Dharkchild:

'm not with my system right now, so posting from mobile. I could send a scanned copy of a sponsorship award letter tonight tho. It needs to be detailed. How much they are giving for tuition, living expenses, accommodation, stationary...bla bla bla. My bro is travelling this sept too on full scholarship and he's got his visa without issues but providing the necessary documents.

If tonight is not late, I can send it. It might not be a standard but it www detailed and it worked.
@Don, Dharkchild, thanks for your prompt response.
I will appreciate if I can get a copy of the scanned sponsorship letter to provide a format for my sponsor.
Like I said earlier I got a grant from the uiv. in UK that covers my tution fees only. My Sponsor is just covering our maintanenece cost.
What are the details needed?
I don't have my CAS yet, m still waiting for my ATAS.Can the ATAS come in earlier?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by tominiyiE: 10:05am On Aug 27, 2012
Donxavier:

It takes 15-20 working days to process the Visa.
You can still make it if you apply first week in Sept.
Is your employer an international organization?
Please meet all the requirements for Letters of Official Sponsorship.

What are your chances? The Tier 4 visa is the easiest visa to get if you meet all the requirements.
@Don, my official sponsor is a private university where I lecture. Any problem with that?
Do they have to state how much they are sponsoring us with or a statement stating that they will cover the full maintanence cost will suffice?
Do I have to submit their bank statement also?
Do I need to submit my transcripts when I have all my certificates?
Does ATAS clearance take 20days or 20 working days?
Please I appreciate a response. Just to prepare me for my application which I will pobably submit next week. Thanks

tominiyiE: Hi, everyone. I have been reading this forum and how it has been helping others. I will appreciate ur contribution to my case below.
I got an offer with a grant(TUTION ONLY) from a UK school for my PhD. I was given a start date of 12 september 2012 but i was told I can still come in October. I have not put in my application cos I am still waiting for my ATAS certificate. Do I still have some chance of making the enrollment?
I am also planning to go with my husband and baby(as dependants). I have a letter of sponsorship from my employer to cover for our full maintanenace.
My school says i must resume in October or else I lose the grant? What are my chances? How long does it take to process student tier 4 Visa of recent? What are the other things I should take to consideration? I will appreciate ur valuable response
Pls I need ur urgent reply
