Politics / Re: One-Year In Office: My Biggest Shock - Buhari by Tomreal(m): 9:35am On May 27, 2016
PMB's explanations are simple and honest enough for any discerning and unbiased mind. But Wailers and haters will always have issues with their ears and senses. No problem.
Politics / Re: Buhari, Sanusi, APC Should Stop Deceiving Nigerians- Barcanista by Tomreal(m): 2:27pm On May 14, 2015
barcanista:
Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.

Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.

Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud
According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”

The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”

April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe
Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien.

13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers
High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words...
“Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,”
“The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”.

http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923

Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.

April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy
In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the  Emir of Kano raised an  issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion.
“What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…"

Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)

Lamido Sanusi and Stella Oduah
The so-called APC and their praise-singers have never for once called for the revisiting of the FRCN report, oh because it doesn't favor them. Ironically, these people were quick to call for the ouster of Stella Oduah that was indicted for "lesser" offence but demonised Goodluck Jonathan for suspending Sanusi that has lots of indictment on his neck.

Conclusion
Buhari, Sanusi and APC can continue in their hypocritical path of self-deception, but every attempt to twist history, intimidate or demonise Dr. Goodluck Ebelemi Azikiwe Jonathan shall be fully resisted. Since they see nothing wrong in the fraud of CBN under Sanusi of which they are beneficiaries, then they should see nothing wrong in whatever happens in NNPC or any Agency under Jonathan irrespective of whether or not any money is missing.

May God Help Us All...
every attempt to twist history, intimidate or demonise Dr. Goodluck Ebelemi Azikiwe Jonathan shall be fully resisted by who. If you never saw anything wrong with governance under GEJ, then you are either plain blind or simply refuse to grow up. Let's stop being sentimental on issues we should all rise up address as one and this country will indeed be great . Mtchew.

Bros, Buhari did not at any forum or campaign promise to bring down the price of PMS to N40. It was Prof Tam David-West who said so with a caveat. That it was his own price no Buhari's. Abeg, haters.

Politics / Re: How Rufus Akeju Coordinated The Rigging Of Oyo State Elections by Tomreal(m): 9:14pm On Apr 20, 2015
Rockyheight:
Though the national elections have come and gone, the joys of victory and the agonies of defeat have been heard, there is no better time than now to X-ray how Professor Attahiru Jega and some of his men performed.

If the INEC boss deserves kudos for a job well done, the same cannot be said of Ambassador Rufus Akeju, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Oyo state. The last national and state elections in the state was a sham to say the least.

To think that one would get anything different from Rufus Akeju than what we got would have been asking too much from a man who has practically sold out whatever integrity he had on the altar of avarice.

Before the elections, major political parties in the state, except the APC, made representations to the INEC chairman on why Akeju should be redeployed from the state. They cited facts and evidence that he was,at a time, a former Personal Assistant to the APC National leader Senator Bola Tinubu and a card-carrying member of the All Progressive Congress.

However, professor Jega refused to budge not minding that similar allegations were made against him in Osun state which a court of law later substantiated. Jega held his ground indicating that the INEC boss might have had other motives in Oyo state rather than free and fair elections.

Today, we have the 2015 elections in Oyo state as the worst ever conducted in the annals of the pacesetter state. An election that was skewed, from the beginning, in favor of a party.

How Akeju and his co-conspirators manage to sleep at night without an iota of guilt should be worthy of study. A deliberate act was embarked upon by the INEC to subvert the will of the people of Oyo state through a fraudulent election.

Aside the shoddy distribution of electoral materials and voting being allowed to run into the night in most places, particularly in the national elections, systematic fraud was executed in the governorship and Houses of Assembly elections that will bring tears to the eyes. ‎

These are acts would have been practically impossible to achieve without the intervention of top INEC officials in Oyo state.

It is sad that the law gives some sort of immunity to INEC officials who are quick to make public, election results that are crooked and ask the aggrieved to go to court.

Should any of the parties involved in the Akeju-supervised charade-labeled-elections go to the election tribunal to challenge the processes and the results of the election, it would be a miracle for some INEC staff not to spend time in jail, with Rufus Akeju leading the Pack.

It is said that some people strengthen society through a purposeful life, the reverse is the case with the Oyo REC. Come to think of it, what can one possibly expect from a man of Akeju's age who goes about with a gold chain around his neck like a  love-vendor and a peddler of cheap narcotics ? A man so close to vanity will stop at nothing to sustain his vain life style.

Ambassador Rufus Akeju has truly left a mark everywhere the soles of his feet touch. One thing that distinguishes him from others is his desire to rig elections and subvert the will of the electorate for his paymaster whose boots he licks with so much vigor that one wonders why his Tongue is not black yet.

The truth is that some of the aggrieved will go to the tribunal and the treachery of Rufus Akeju the Oyo state Resident Electoral Commissioner against the people of Oyo state will be exposed.

My utmost wish is for the hijacker of the peoples' will to be joined in the suit with INEC, in his personal capacity, for knowingly manipulating the outcome of the results of the last elections, in favor of his party as evidences abound of his willful betrayal of the mandate entrusted to him to be an impartial umpire.

Oloyede Maculay writes from saki in Oyo state.
Bros, this is your view which I don't expect represent other people's. You are the prosecutor and the judge at the same time. It needs no telling that you sympathise with one of the political parties and because the result didn't favour you, the INEC REC must be hanged.

I don't know why a lot of you guys keep calling Amaechi a 'back stabber' simply because he left the PDP, the party which Patience turned to a family business and made uncomfortable not only for him but a whole lot of others. Be objective in your comments.
