Those where the same thoughts that ran through my mind when I first read the post by super poster Orkpekyandega. Look at a player like Aaron Samuel that Keshi was so much in love with. His starts are in no way close to Imoh Ezekiel, Kehinde Fatai.

even babatunde's stats b4 the WC isn't as good as kehinde's own sef.players should be called up by their performances and kehinde's performances deserves a call up.I will just take it as he doesn't have an NFF godfather

Kehinde Fatai is not a Super Eagles material. Take that to the bank. Romania can have him if they want. We've got better players lined-up already waiting for their call-up.

Don't you guys remember him from the 2009 Flying Eagles? Odion Ighalo was the main striker then and Kehinde only featured as a sub in our 3-2 lose to Germany in the second round. Person wey been no fit trap ball well sef. Odion Ighalo, Danny Uchechi (another flop) and Kehinde Fatai were the 3 centre forwards we paraded at the 2009 U20 World Cup. Only Ighalo managed to put up an average performance the other two (Fatai and Uchechi) were flops.

It is good enough that we are getting updates on the progress of some of our Europe based players here. But not all of them are Super Eagles materials.
chai u mean his present performances do not deserve a call up? u want to rate a player and u make mention of 2009 heck dats 6 long years ago.
look at players during the keshi era-john ogu, fegor ogude, oduamadi,Anthony ujah, gambo, ameobi, bright dike. SIR pls what makes these guys eagles material that doesn't make kehinde fatai 1? sir comparing the performances and statistics of these guys before they got their call up and that of kehinde fatai at present and tell me who deserves a call up.
if u remember clearly a certain non league player okechukwu was even called up by keshi so what makes him an eagle material in preference to kehinde fatai

Alaba wanted to play the U17. There is no guarantee that he would have rejected the Austrian National team when they called him?

I repeat, if he wanted to play for us, he would have waited. If he likes, let him be a better than Roberto Carlos, he does not make me less proud of Celestine.

Ross Barkley does not make me less proud of Aluko, Babatunde or even the up and coming young Kelechi Nwakali.
don't make it seem like the boy was selfish he didn't just want to play u-17 he wanted to represent his father land and if he was given that opportunity even if he wasn't called up for u-20 he will have felt a sense of belonging and as such he will strive to earn a super eagles invite.
bros abeg nur bring Ross Barkley or Jordan ibe or any of such players into this its purely different because those 1s never made an effort to contact Nigeria not even in an interview

If u read me correctly u would see i said there should be a fine line. My question is what are we winning? Who have we had in the last 10 years that is as good as Alaba? No one is asking the NFF to take globe trips, we are saying grab these players when the opportunity presents. Imagine Argentina not inviting Messi. Iheanacho and co are great talents but that does not give an excuse to neglect any Nigerian, that amounts to discrimination.
tanks alot sir DISCRIMINATION is the word. I don't get it how some people are able to support discrimination but when it happens to them dem go cry foul.when u see something wrong admit its wrong it doesn't change the fact that our working underaged "ideology" hasn't ever produced an alaba

Show me where I said Alaba did the wrong thing. I onow about Habib Makanjuola case.

He won the MVP Award U-10 YSFON competition in 2007, MVP Award YSFON U-11 in 2008, won MVP Award YSFON U-12 in 2009.

Remember some of them came from a National U17 project. So I do not know the arrangement of pushing Makanjuola into the squad but he was a National project since he was U10.

So tell me when I said Alaba did the wrong thing? That is like saying Ross Barkley did the wrong thing.

I said I do not miss them. I do not miss Olisadebe, John Fashanu, Ehiogu, Jordon Ibe, Barkley and I do not miss Alaba.

If Alaba wanted to play for us, he would have waited to play for Coach Siasia. By 2010 he would have definitely gone to the 2010 World Cup with us. He did not want.

I also wished him the best on this thread. So how am I saying he is wrong. It is his life. He was born in Austria. He must like the country. I do not miss him. We have enough talents to compensate for the loss of these men.
from the u-17 ideology u made known to us it still proves that makanjuola shouldn't have been in the team he was with chelsea which as such rules him out as a foreigner.he still shouldn't be in the team on a 2nd count based on d ideology as he was already "a made player" not an hustler being that the U-17 is a place to unearth new talent not to field the best team so permit me to boldly say that it is safe to say no such ideology exists.
sir goodjoe there is a misunderstanding sumwere I wasn't trying to say u blame him guess I should have used we instead of u.
lastly u said if he wanted to play for nigeria he would have waited for siasia.now I seriously can't believe u said this c'mon that line is damn weak cuz if he didn't want to play for Nigeria I see no reason why he would fly down to naija for a training section with the eaglets.u are saying he should wait abi I guess ur advice to kehinde fatai now will be to wait till 2020 when the NFF will be willing to call him up bro by then the nigga will be 30
Sports / Re: Super Eagles Of Nigeria Thread: 2017 AFCON Qualifiers. by Tomtoxic: 12:58pm On Dec 22, 2015
this NFF sef the guy has been performing in Europe them nur call am say e flop b4 which striker never flop sef from ighalo to Muhammed gambo to Anthony ujah.everyone deserves a second chance NFF cap this guy before we lose another player na.the guy even said he wants to play for Nigeria dem nur care but if na the players wey make us 2nd choice like Jordan ibe dem go dey woo am.
Sports / Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by Tomtoxic: 12:46pm On Dec 22, 2015
sir goodjoe this ideology of only home based players for u-17 where did it come from because I think I remember a Chelsea boy makanjuola in the iheanacho set.
now let's be real here: u have got a chance to play for 2 countries u meet the 1st and u are rejected with no promise of a future call up then the other calls u to show how much they need u. where will u go? u can't blame alaba for doing the RIGHT THING he followed those who needed him.
coach yemi tella was obviously acting on his own accord not of d NFF alaba is a Nigerian and had as much right as others to represent the country he should have been allowed in to train with other left backs to compete for the slot but him not being given that chance means that yemi tella didn't even care about taking the best team to represent the country which should always be the case.
NIGERIA has never had a better leftback than ALABA and its naija's loss not alaba common the nigga z way better than echiejile and oshaniwa and its not like we can even give him a world cup medal.
no DISRESPECT to the green white green just had to speak my mind before we drive all our better players with our mindset of Anglo Nigerians are average players abi is Nigeria a world power in football sef.

Well, all these Mikel argument by all parties involved is still all abt whether he should b included in the Olympic team right? My take on the issue is if Siasia wants to invite Mikel we still also need Onazi in d DMF. Mikel and Onazi midfield partnership has proven d best for the Super Eagles for d past 3yrs. For the other Over-aged player I would want a Central Defender, with Ambrose as my first choice. Kenneth Omeruo is U23 & can partner well with Ambrose in d centre of the defense. The best available U23 players can man d right and left backs positions.

We dnt need Ighalo and Musa in that team.

Cc: forgiveness, TheGoodJoe, Safarigirl, Tomtoxic, all other parties in d Mikel argument.
my choice 3 over aged players for the Olympics will be ambrose for defense onazi for midfield and obagoal for attack.
I didn't add Carl ikeme cuz I feel the Olympic keeper deserves his spot and choosing obagoal ahead of ighalo is because he is more experienced and defenders at this stage could be vulnerable.
but again I feel if success the beast is released for rio den our strike wouldn't need an over aged player then the slot should be given to a defender say omeruo/oboabona/balogun having 2 over aged defenders will give us peace of mind as the defense was d worst part of the team in the previous tournament.

We should forget Gullit and bleacherreport and trust your judgment. Nope.

after reading this I found myself smilling like the supernerd - where went that dude sef?
back to the matter don't rely on gull it and bleacher report bro have your own opinion bro don't be a mental slave digesting every word they tell u hook line and sinker.
u said Mikel was our best performer I gave u lot of matches that says otherwise I even threw u a challenge to give me a match he performed so well and I will give u 3 matches he flopped on a whole scale but all u can come up with is gullit and some bleached reports.
good day bro have a nyc day

There is nothing more you can add. The rest is what I call dragging. Are you saying Bleacherreport journalists are dumb?

He was a big part of the resurgence of Super Eagles. You can abusive him as much as you want.

Ruud Gullit is the former best player in the World. I will listen to his assessment before yours.

It is just a case of hatred. Even a coach of Sparta Rotterdam is telling you he is good and you are saying slow.

Is Busquets fast? Does that make him a poor player?
I do not remember saying Mikel lack of speed makes him a poor player heck my best midfielder of all times is the great Andrea pirlo and he is really immobile.
u said Mikel is super eagles best performer I showed you all the matches and how he flopped now u're calling the names of people who have praised Mikel c'mon on the internet u will see various articles of coaches praising different players it doesn't change anything na.the internet is just like YouTube it can make a Mikel seem as good as ronaldo.
so bro 4get does articles and show me a match Mikel was exceptional and I will show u 3 matches were he was outclassed.

Are you kidding? At the AFCON, Ruud Gullit argued that the award of Pitropa as the best player of the AFCON was wrong. He watched the whole tournament and said Mikel was the best player in the competition.

When we knocked The Ivorians out, Drogba said Mikel was the best player.

Oliseh recently said Mikel was best after his first games.

When Mikel dominated Spain, who was our best player in that game.

Watch this clip of Mikel and tell me if a team killer can pull out such moves.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbXYIq4U4TY
ruud gullit watched all afcon matches and felt Mikel was our best player well I watched all the matches and still feel victor moses was our best in that afcon.c'mon in that afcon Mikel came alive in the knockout stages but in the group stage the 3 matches he contributed nothing or u have forgotten the 1st match a 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso Mikel was poor then the 2nd match against Zambia he cost us the game by missing the pk even the last group stage match was salvaged by moses.victor moses is the unsung hero of that afcon bro.
Mikel was our best player against ivory coast fact!! like I said he came alive in the knockout stages.
after saying Mikel was our best oliseh still had to bench his "best player" in an almighty qualifier match.
c'mon this mentioning of Spain match is a drag bro the confeds is a friendly tournament and u seem to agree that it is mikels best match ever with the way u kip mentioning it.so what happened when the real tournament started "the world cup".1st match against Iran Mikel successfully starved our attackers of the ball by passing to the foot of the iranians.then against Bosnia he could only be found in the 1sthalf.when it got to time to play the big boys (Argentina) he was so lost even goggle map wouldn't find him.then the most annoying in our most important match against France our revered Mikel was torn apart and on the removal of onazi Mikel was finally destroyed by the French midfield.
well so much for the super eagles best performer.
but that's not the issue now tho as the Olympic team has to choose the most useful player and the professor of back passes Jon Mikel slowbi will certainly not be useful in the long run at Rio.

How can one of the top performers of the Super Eagles in the recent years of the Super Eagles have nothing to offer. He was one of the key players in the resurgence of Super Eagles under Coach Keshi.

I agree.am not calling for those good looking crap players in shiiit leagues to be invited am just against the calling of Mikel for the Olympics as he wouldn't have anything better to offer us than players presently in the position
