Home office for what now? Inspector Moshood is not the one issuing the document but the police authority. He is just assisting in getting it done. The document he gets for you is an official document. The receiving authorities can always verify from Police NG if they desire and it would be confirmed. Or what exactly is your fear?

Aha!!! Thank you. My fear was simply missing out a vital piece that could have easily been done. You have clarified and it’s all good. Thanks

This is the post that has put me in a state of unease. I’d appreciate some counsel.

Hey guys,

In my quest for peace of mind during the waiting period, I decided to get carried away with the thoughts of "WHAT IF". For those who are about to submit, trust me on this, you'll get infected with this thought - No doubt.

The "WHAT IF" sickness is so long and dull as to having your summer being on the Sahara desert. Well, during one of my "WHAT IF" mind game, I started to think of the possibilities of rejection and how to prepare for the trauma, in the event that it happens - Sad! I know you'ld say so. But if you're already post-AOR, I am a million sure you've been infected with this thought already, and should you be about to submit, welcome on board, you'll surely face the same - It's universal and for all I care, it's harmless.

While luxuriating in my endless sad thoughts, I stumbled on these reasons given below on why most applications get the infamous "rejection" and the beauty here is most important for those that are about to submit. Please ensure you look out properly for the below before your submission. It is better to have a late submission than to have a sorry application - Rejection! And to those who have submitted already, please note that you can always raise a CSE to rectify any inadequacy before the VO (Visa Officer) notices - In most cases, CSE is reliable and should get the job done.

I'll be here rooting for you all, my prayers and best wishes are just for YOU!

MOST COMMON REASONS WHY ANY APPLICATION CAN GET A REJECTION

So, below are the most common reasons why applications get rejected - This is taken from the Consolidated eAPR on myimmitracker website.

>>><<<
1.
My EE got refused due to there is no duties and responsibilities mentioned in the letter even though I provided paystubs, T4, NOA

2.
I declared having two Bachelor’s degree credentials as I earned One Degree n Three Diplomas. However, according to the educational credential equivalency assessment (ECA) issued by WES,I understand they have the equivalent of one Bachelor’s degree (four years) that is highest education degree. I mmigration Officer/s have recalculated my CRS points according to my actual level of education and my CRS score has fallen below that of the lowest-ranked candidate invited to apply in Round 53 of invitations.

3.
(I contacted CIC using webform on 10th April, telling them about my PCCs are in progress. Then i uploaded my PCCs on 20th April using webform) (application got cancelled on 28th stating not providing full PCCs which btw i uploaded through webform)

4.
The application was cancelled for being incomplete. We have provided a police certificate issued by the state police. It must be issued by the Brazilian Federal Police.

5.
The reason is stated as incomplete application. The Kazakhstan judicial organs were not able to provide a police certificate in time, therefore I have sent after applying in March an official letter confirming that we have requested this police certificate, via case specific entry. However, the letter explaining cancellation said that they cancelled because they did not see this confirmation letter and therefore think we haven't made enough letter.

6.
Uploaded only ECA and missed putting in the educational degree and they rejected instead of asking for the doc

7.
I lived in Chennai and Bangalore. The problem was I didn't get the PCC via the indian embassy but directly from the Chennai police. The PCC letter says they don't have any records of any criminal wrongdoing IN chennai.
So CIC got back saying that this letter doesn't cover bangalore, so the entire application is cancelled. the UAE PCC wasn't a problem

8.
The PCC I requested through the embassy was a certificate of good conduct ( same as the one delivered in the province I leaved) that is normally used interchangeable with the one delivered at the central office of Judiciary Police situated in the capital city ( Kinshasa) that issues an extract of the criminal record. Both are PCCs . The only difference is that the latter is only issued for immigration purposes and the first one for administrative purposes. I was not aware of the difference and neither is the officer at the embassy. It is only after the rejection letter in which IRCC pointed me to the correct competent office and the correct document that would be acceptable to them.

9.
my application was rejected and cancelled by CIC for uploading my son's birth certificate in the place of his travel document

10.
I live in the USA, and my FBI was couple of days over 6 months when I submitted the application.

11.
REFUSED DUE TO BLACK & WHITE PCC/Cased was cancel due to not providing Original Iranian PCC. I just provide certified true copy due to error.

12.
Got my application Denied because of a missing PCC. I thought we had to submit a PCC from places we lived in after the person completed 18 years old or from the past 10 years. I lived in Abu Dabi 13 years ago. I did not provided a PCC.

13.
My spouse has a PhD, and this one was written in Latin (it's a old university and they like to used the Latin language) so he requested to have one in English, and he had it. It was the same as the Latin one but just on the top : translated from the English. So when we submitted our case we just uploaded the English one and not the Latin one. That's explain the failure even if we had an EDE

14.
PCC Does not cover entire period of stay in india. That,s the reason they provided. Actually, I got PCC from SSP chandigarh and it mentioned my period of stay at current address. So, maybe thats why.

15.
The Police certificate from Pakistan that you provided with your application is not acceptable as it does not cover the full period of time spent in Pakistan during your first period of residence there. You have indicated in your address/personal history that you resided in Pakistan from November 5, 1987 to June 12, 2008. The police certificate that you provided covers the period from Birth to May 2008.

16.
Reason for refusal is missing police report for 7 months in France

17.
Refused - police certificate not translated

18.
Refused because PCC from Kazakhstan was in electronic form. Paper documents were sent to CIC a week ago, but were not considered.

19.
IMM5562 requested Refused because if you add all my trips in ten years it's more than 6 months and I need a police certificate from USA

20.
During the past 10 years i visited USA several times, the total durations of these visits exceeded 6 months. So i should have added PCC for the US although the six months were not continuous!!

21.
My application was deemed incomplete as my police check was 6 months and 3 days old when I submitted my application. The cut off is 6 months for police checks. The delay in submitting was caused by work references coming through late.

22.
Application was refused as incomplete for lacking of US PCC. I have an MBA from an american university which was taught in Brazil. I selected US in country of education since the university is not a legal entity in Brazil. I don't know if that was the mistake (should have put Brazil) or I should have indicated something like "distance learning".

23.
They had pcc from police which only covers city from where it's applied. "Hi just got an update that my application is rejected becoz of my spouse PCC given only for last 15 years not from his entire duration of stay in India."

24.
Sent Brazilian state PCC instead of federal PCC

25.
Rejected because 1 police cert was missing in the combined PDF

Getting Nigeria PCC while living abroad is possible. There is a form you will fill and thumb print and then send the necessary fee for such service. You can look for Inspector Moshood's phone number on this thread. He can help you with that.

Thank you for answering me. My sought out clarification is: Having obtained the PCC from Inspector Moshood, is or are there any other extra requirements? This is what I mean- What does the phrase “getting it certified” mean? Is Inspector Moshood going to do that bit too? Or, do I have to submit it for any reason to the home office. This is the only part that is confusing and I really hope seniors who have done this from the US in recent times can see this post and chip in. Please! Forgive my wahala

Hi sir, I'm sorry I don't have access to the email address I used to create this account. Kindly drop your questions here if they ain't too personal and I or my Ogas here will answer them. Thank you

Hello,

(I apologize if this question has been overflogged. I just couldn’t find enough resource when I read page 1. I really don’t want to make any mistake)

Thanks for responding. I had earlier asked but I am not very clear on what to do about obtaining a Nigerian PCC from within the US.

I read your post and deduced that you applied from within the US. I am seeking to get my PCC from Nigeria just as I am simultaneously getting an FBI report. My question is:

How did you validate or certify your report with the home office? Which office did you process yours through and how long does it essentially take? Can you kindly guide me? Thank and God bless.

I noticed it when I checked my application yesterday. I checked again today and it's now showing. Submitted my app on the 17th of January 2020.
I don't know my VO but it's definitely one of the VOs that process applications for those residing in the US.

Hello sir,

I pm’ed you. Kindly check please. Thank you

Hello,

My husbands stay don’t total six months so I guess we won’t the bothering with this. In my own case, after processing the PCC through Inspector Moshood, I understand that i am required to certify it at the nearest Nigerian embassy or so..... please can you tell me how you went about it too?

All the best to you dear.

Ndawe:
I've also been in the US studying since 2017; I lived in the UK for 2 years so I got both plus Naija own. Generally, I think PCC is needed if one has spent at least 6months (I stand to be corrected). For the Naija own, search for Inspector Moshood's contact here, get in touch with him and you'll get it done. If you have someone trustworthy back home that can do the legwork for you, it takes just an hour or so to get it. If there's no one to collect it for you, he may charge you extra and send the soft copy via whatsapp (those were the options he gave me when I did mine in February).
For the UK own, the cic site provided links to all the countries showing how to get PCC for each. Click on the UK own; everything is done online and it isn't expensive. Get all the addresses where your husband stayed in the UK because he'll need to fill those in and that's it! Also, you didn't state how long your husband lived in the US and UK (if at all).
PS: All the instructions are on the cic web page or page 1 of this thread. think

GoodMorning Everyone,

Can someone please assist me with this daunting task of PCC , what to do and how exactly to go about things.

1. I have lived in the US since 2017 Since I am studying here and so I’m certain I’ll be required to submit one. Please how do I apply for my Nigerian PCC from here? Just point me in the direction I’ll do the rest. What periods should each cover? I’m asking the specific as I just read a post where 90 percent of refusals were PCC related.

2. Is my husband who has visited the UK and US for an accumulated period of ) months and more also required to submit this document too? ( I am the principal applicant) if yes, please how do I access the British PCC resource? Please !!!

Please and thank you!!!

Hello house,

Please can anyone assist me with the link for information on experiences or steps/tips for applying from a different country but with dependents in another country. Please i am trying to help a dear friend out and i know some people dropped information about this in the past. I can't recall the period and so it has been challenging digging it out.

It is somewhat complicated and my friend and his family want to do it right the first time. Please....

It details pictures, passport request and submission, medicals and PCC etc

I didn't mean to do this but i have combed through this forum and i cant seem to find it.

Thank you!!

Thanks for your response:

I also have been unable to get a date since i received their passports...is this another frequent occurrence? The pop-up calendar appears empty. I am guessing this means there are no available dates. How long on the average does it take for dates to be released and how do i even know when this happens?

Please i'll appreciate responses. Thank you for your time.

If you check the US website instructions on dropbox they have ALWAYS said you MAY be called for an interview so it is not unusual.

The best you can assume is that they want to know if your kids are actually in Nigeria.
Your kids would only be able to travel with either you or their dad since their dad doesn't have a visa in my opinion Im not sure how this new application will work unless you are around for their interview.

So documents would have to show who's taking them to the US and how to prove they are coming back. My two cents
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by toniauj: 1:47am On Mar 12, 2019
Greetings to the House:

Is(Are) there any person(s) that can provide my family with insights on how to proceed with my children's application.

They were granted visas in 2016 and i(their mom) was present at the interview where we expressed our intention to head to New Jersey to visit a family friend. This was in July. Co-incidentally, i was very busy with work and could not travel that year. The following year, i was granted an F1 visa and had to head out to graduate school. Their father was to take them that year and he was denied a visa...sadly and i was still in the US studying and so, their visas expired.

Currently, i am flexible enough to be able to fly in to pick them up for their vacation and so we applied for the drop box and in two weeks we received an email to pick up the passports and saw that we have been asked to show up for an interview. Honestly, i did not know when the drop box system became a gamble but we are determined to show up and the concern is that i do not know what documents to show up with other than my visa and study documentation.

At this point my husband will be appearing with them but with my documents. Will this impair their chances because he has been denied?
Do we go with a bank statement?
what are the documents required under the 221g section?
Can they be penalized for not honoring their initial visas? They are both minors and travel is solely determined by me and their dad and our circumstances were not very convenient and favorable at the time.

Please can i get some view, opinions or advise?

I quite understand that and I'll ask him to tell to give me his transcript. Currently, he doesn't have a smart phone so he isn't even privy to this community.

Hello house, please can you kindly provide views on this situation? Thanks in advance.

A friend's interview was approved last week Tuesday and he was given the white paper. He was told he would be contacted to go pick up. He tracked his status on Friday and some minutes ago this morning and he says it's status is on administrative processing. The normal wait time should be 2 or 3 days after interview.

Please is there any among those approved last week that has picked up their passport?Thing is he wasn't told anything other than your visa is approved and you'll be contacted to go pick it up. Gurus please what does this indicate? He is quite worried and his school resumes on August 14th.

Thanks for your views.
