What children are suppose to expect from there parent is love and care, but what if the parent is harsh? It has been noted that many children suffers mental and emotional trauma as a result of the harsh words there harsh parent tell them and as result many families are victims of a broken parent-child relationship.
Are you a parent or you are a victim of harsh words from your parent? These are five harsh words parent should not tell their children
1)Offensive words towards there children like you are too fat, you are too ugly, you are too short and many others of such offensive statements,these can lead to the physical insecurities of the child making them to hate themselves and making them uncomfortable around people. Parents are suppose to teach their children how to love themselves no matter their looks.
2)Provocative questions words towards the child's actions like why are you so annoying or why do you walk, talk or chew like that way? Children tends to believe what their parent say so such remarks can affect the child till adulthood making them not to to be themselves in public because they will always be thinking about the harsh words their parent always talked about and see themselves unworthy.
3)Selfish wishes like I wish you were never born, I wish I had an abortion, I wish you wer a different child and so many other selfish statements to there child. Parents should never make such to a child or to any human generally because these can make the child lose his/her sense of identity and such statement can lead to early depression and self harm instead parents are suppose to make their feel prioritised and loved always.
4)Unhealthy comparison like why are you not like the other children or the other children are better than you such statement can make the child feel they can never be good enough no matter how they try and in situations where siblings are compared with each others it can lead to jealousy and even hate for each other. Children should be given equal opportunity to build their self independence.
5)Verbal abusive words like you are stupid, you are useless, you are a loser or you will make it such statement damage the child's self esteem and can make the feel hated by there parent. Parent should learn to correct their children without verbal abuses.
