gmacnoms: But you know there is something called buyer's sentiments. U are accruing unneccessary buyers sentiments to other people. U might be a buyer today but tomorrow, you might be a seller. I know you are just kidding. But someone else might take it as a fact . 3500 is really ridiculous and you know it. |

Science/Technology / The Long Walk To Freedom Vol.one by tonytopples: 7:20am On Dec 14, 2016 |
I have walked a long walk to freedom, it has been a lonely road, but it is not over yet. Nelson Mandela... Slavery has always been a part and parcel of Africa before and during the trans-atlantic slave trade. As smart and civilized as ancient Egypt were, their civilization was not built by an employed work-force. It was built by slaves. Servants and slaves make up 80% of ancient civilized Egypt. Slaves played a major role in the building of the great pyramids. They even enslaved other nations around them. All of whom kept revolting and fighting to break free. Sub-saharan pre-colonial Africa with centralized governments that practiced monarchical or oligarchic political system always ensured some people are more valued than others, and therefore slavery persisted. Slavery in pre-colonial Africa was intense and hierarchical. Some are just second class citizens, whom are not to be associated with, but some are so low the system that when the king dies, some of them has to be captured and buried alive with the king. The natural instinctual drive for freedom always drove men to revolt. Which is one of the reason African societies were always small and highly segregated. Which is also the reason why when trans-atlantic slave trade started, some of the white captors hardly raided slaves. He mostly waited at the shore, while the African captured his brother and sold him to the slave traders. During the trans-atlantic slave trade, men always fought for freedom. Africans started to fight the trans-atlantic slave trade as soon as it started. The African resistance continued in the Americas. They ran away, established maroon communities, used sabotage, conspired and rose against those who held them in captivity, freed people, petitioned the authorities, led campaigns and warred actively to abolish slave trade and slavery. In Europe, black and white abolitionists launched and participated in civic movements to end the deportation and enslavement of Africans. They delivered speeches, provided information, led campaigns, wrote newspaper articles and also books. Akan, originally from Ghana led uprisings and Jamaica in 1673, 1690 and 1745. One of them; Tacky, was the organizer of a large revolt in 1760. Africans, mostly from the congo rose up in 1739 in south Carolina in what was known as ‘the stono revolution’. In 1741, enslaved people organized a conspiracy to burn down new York city and get their freedom. In 1816, an African born named Bussa led a significant uprising in Barbados. The largest revolt in Jamaican history took place in 1831 and was led by Baptist deacon and Domestic Samuel sharpe. Countless other uprisings and conspiracies marked the history of the Americas. They instilled terror in the colonialists and were brutally and indiscriminately suppressed through hanging, beheadings, burning at the stake and other methods of torture. Despite enormous risks, enslaved and sometimes free black and white people fought for liberation. Their actions had a significant impact on the slave regimes. Using violent as well as non-violent means, Africans in Africa like Robert Mugabe, Africans in the Americas like Fredrick douglas, sam sharpe, African in Europe like Olaudah Equiano, Ignatius Sarch, whites in America like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin franklin, Abraham Lincoln and some other whites in Europe were constantly involved against slave trade and slavery. All their activities culminated in the legal abolition of slavery. It was abolished in Britain in 1807, 1814 in spain, 1819 in Portugal, 1848 in france, 1862 in America. In 1948, the united nations general assembly adopted a universal declaration of human rights, including an article stating that “No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms. Slavery was over!!! But has freedom come?? Well maybe the first stage.. To be continued, stay tuned.... www.kulenga.org |
Science/Technology / The Power Of Questions by tonytopples: 12:07pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
THE POWER OF QUESTIONS By Anthony Onu A unique social experiment was done and an amazing finding was realized. “if you place an infant mammal in one end of a large sized room and keep a warm fire place in the other end, once it’s another specie of mammal, it will find its way to the fire place by constant struggles and crawling to get the warmth and avoid dying. But if it’s a human infant, it can’t. It will stay there and die even though warmth is within reach. That tells you of how vulnerable we are as human beings. So until a particular age of reason and individual choices, we are a vulnerable extension of where we came from. So when you look at the beauty and diversity of Africa, you are looking at the spirits of some men that lived a long time ago. When you also look at her ills; corruption, poverty, uncivilization and ignorance, you are also seeing an extension of that spirit. At the same time, when you look at the western man ; his life, his choices, his civilization, his progress and also his failures. They are a direct extension of his history. So there must have been something about the historical transcendence of these two races of people and why they are so different. As the story goes, one day in 1665, a young man was sitting under a tree when all of a sudden, he saw an apple fall from above the tree. And with the fall of that apple, Isaac Newton revolutionized our picture of the universe. He started asking the ridiculous but big questions, and as a result, he revealed; the nature of light; enabling us to explore more of the universe. His discoveries enabled us to calculate motion and predict change. He distilled the force that united the whole universe to a precise mathematical formula; the universal law of gravity. Newton is celebrated as the rational genius that propelled mankind out of medieval darkness and into the enlightenment. This age of enlightenment released the genie out of the bottle and revealed the limitless power of asking questions. Men started rising up to question everything and bring about radical reformations with new ideas. That was when Adam smith published his “wealth of nations” ; that revolutionized world economics and released us from the chains of mercantilism into capitalism. Our modern democratic ideas evolved from the ideas of John Locke on social contract and Thomas Hobbes leviathan and liberal thought and released men from the chains of monarchy. These and many more intellectual foundational framework led to the industrial revolution. This was when we transitioned from hand production to machines; new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, improved efficiency of water power, the invention of steam power, the development of machine tools and rise of the factory system. The industrial revolution was a major turning point in history. It officially marked the birth of modern civilization. It affected almost every aspect of daily life. For the first time, average income and population began to exhibit unprecedented and sustained growth. The standard of living for the average man significantly got better for the first time. So civilization as we know it today; which characterizes progress, advancement in science and technology, abundance, social equity, justice and liberal rights of individuals exists today because some men dared to ask the BIG QUESTIONS and harness the boundless creativity of the human mind by asking WHY! .Therefore, rationally on the other hand, uncivilization, ignorance, darkness, poverty and suffering as we see it today in Africa exists because men have refused to harness this divine creative instinct of the human mind by daring to ask WHY!! Imagine for a second that your name mungo park; The Scottish Explorer, and in your numerous voyages, you landed on a shore in mandinka country; Descendents of the Mali empire, part of Sub-Saharan Africa in the 17th Century. Presuppose that you have no prior knowledge that such a place and people existed there before, you are being just adventurous. You come down from your harbour, dressed in your vest or waist coat, a clover, a wig and breeches that gathers around the knee with all other clothing accessories that accompanies the classical 17th and 18th century English Fashion. With your well constructed large wooden Ships that was built from hardwood and softwood, with the huge sails and impressive structure. Guns and ammunitions that use gun powder; an explosive made from sulphur and potassium nitrate for your protection and security. Properly stored food and drinks made from assorted and exotic food sources. Then you come down and meet these black coloured people that looks exactly like you, Except that they are scantly clothed with animal skin and leaves , Humming and carrying bows to hunt down wild reserves, None of the houses they built is more than one floor. They are clay moulded and has thatched roofing. They stare at you with utter amazement like you were some ‘Alien’ that just landed from outer space. Without sentiment in retrospect, ‘what would be your first thought? It will seem to me that these people has been frozen in time or i just did a time travel to the past or that they are a late arrival of the order of creation. The Question is WHY? What really happened? Is there any biological reason to explain why the mind of the black man was not operating in the same frequency as his western counterpart. Is there any historical reason to explain his sociological defectiveness? Of all human races, why has she been the most affected by slavery. The white man hardly raided slaves. He mostly waited at the shore while the black man raided his brother and brought him to the white man, and he gave him mundane things like mirror and sack clothes he has never seen before, and he walked away happy. Imagine such a gap?? A lot of people are unaware that slavery was more than 150 years ago, which is not more than 3 generations. But the transatlantic slavery started in the 1400s. It was legally ended at 1868 in the US. That is over two hundred years of social engineering, brainwashing, and terror that the black man have endured. What is about African’s history that leads to endless violence , famine ,poverty and corruption? These has always been a characteristic of the pre and post history of Africa. Why is Africa the most divided people in the world? we have such a high number of divisions along political entities, race, ethnicity ,religion ,family ,clans, kingdom, territoriality and all sort of subtle differences .Why has she been and still is the most diseased and suffering continent with the largest number of sympathizers and empathizers? Why has such a big-wave of protests ,anger and frustration ,swept and still sweeping through Africa, arising from a combination of financial crises, rising costs of living and high unemployment? Why has she always been the landmine and deposit site for all kinds of deadly diseases and epidemic outbreaks? Why has leadership in Africa been the most thwarted and misaligned administration in the world? Why hasn’t the black-man successfully birthed a Modern and civilized country from the scratch? Why is mother Africa still crying?? There has been so many proposed reasons, philosophical theories, pre-supposed causes and distorted historical expositions. But anyone that would like it find out a real and universal truth has to go back to the beginning. But from Beginning, all men were created equal by God. So that means something happened along the road, still in the beginning. Our African Journey in the last 500 years; her historical and present experiences, Her roots, her earthed and unearthed perceived and real realities and character, Her intrinsic African spirit and her relics, customs traditions and identity has served as our detective clues to the genesis of the “African dehydration and misery”. The BIG-BANG of our problems can be summarized in the phase “ BAD HERITAGE”. We inherited a Bad legacy. A conceptual exposition of that is expanded in my book. For now, let’s focus on the present and how to make progress. AFRICA IS THE FUTURE What does this even mean?? Is it about wearing “AFRICA IS THE FUTURE T-SHIRT”? No. It means we are actualizers, finishers and unifiers. Nothing ever gets completed and successful in the world without Africa. The western man discovered the industrial revolution, but needed to import energy and manpower from Africa to build and power that civilization. Even after the end of slavery, the bulk of the power and raw-materials that built the western world came and is still coming from Africa. We have a unique and powerful destiny. History is about to repeat itself again, but in more positive light now. To help the world maintain causality ensure that we avoid the catastrophe of over-extending “The age of Reason” and subjective rationality that is currently the superintendent in the west. Africa is destined to birth the new age; “THE AGE OF VALIDATION AND FALLIBILITY”, its properly expounded in my book, but which is simply the unification of Religion and secularism. Using subjective rationality or secularism to prove our objective precedence conviction and Religion. The fallibility is in the recognition of our mortal limits in achieving and reaching the infinity of our divine convictions but understanding that those shortcomings physically translates to a geometrical advancement in our humanity, intellect and civilization. Our strong foothold on religion gives us this unique advantage. Our religious objective perception of providence can only be realized through a subjective procedural rationality. Its a matter of laziness and a waste of our African-ness to consume the default position of religious scepticism of the modern western man. We have consumed almost everything for centuries. It time we evolve our own unique way of thinking. Why is there so much poverty, lack, hate, disease, violence, corruption, ignorance and darkness in Africa? Please don’t think you know the answer. The problem starts with the assumption of we thinking we already know the answer. we have some invariants to start with. Invariants like “All men were potentially made equal by God, that all men, irregardless of age, race, color or sex has an enormous creative ability. That we have the ability to birth the next civilization. So the real question is “How come we experience only the opposite of these?” . Our unwillingness to breakdown some of our extreme assumptive objective rigidity is actually the true sign of our godlessness. The quest to ask questions is actually the quest for God. Whom the holy book says dwells in the light and is always calling people to come and learn of him. Real faith is not an irrational assumption. To the man watching from outside, maybe it is. But to the man that has it, it’s reasonable. It’s a subjective rationality of an objective perception. This is the new age. When we start daring to ask WHY?, you will find only one answer, “WHY NOT” this is the power of questions. Why is Africa the way it is? Before you answer, don’t forget that Africa is nobody but YOU!.. I know you can hear the still though still small voice telling you “WHY NOT”!! YES we can stop fighting and segregating each other. YES we can build the most developed economies where hunger and poverty does not exist. YES our democracy can become a model for the rest of the world to follow. YES we can send a man to the moon from Africa and back and also to Europa ( One of the moons of Jupiter). YES we can invent the greatest energy innovation in history. YES we can build the greatest companies on earth. YES we can unite the laws of physics in a simple equation. YES we can find a cure to aids and cancer from here. YES we can!! #theblackscientists #africa #kulenga #civilization #thenewage #science www.kulenga.org

Politics / Welcome To The Future Of The World's Most Populous Black Nation by tonytopples: 3:18pm On Dec 19, 2015 |
GEM THOUGHTS Volume 1 By Anthony Onu WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF THE WORLDS MOST POPULOUS BLACK NATION Universally, nature has a default “EFFECT” which has been structured by God to be ‘Always Good’. Nature has already designed that a child that is born will grow up and become an adult. But that ‘EFFECT’ can only be achieved if the relative ‘CAUSE’ of feeding and grooming that child is done properly. When a country is birthed, whether democratically or autocratically, defaultly, that nation started that journey because just like the child, she has been designed to grow up and be great as long as the essential variables of the ‘CAUSE’ are taken care of. During the 2008 global economic crises that rocked the west and also affected the rest of the world, queen Elizabeth was asking the worlds supposedly financial and economic great minds at London school of economics how come with all their knowledge, expertise, experience and resources, they didn’t see that coming. To which they replied that the economic market system is so complex that no one can understand it. This means that they were baffled and confused on how everything played out because their own calculations/forecast failed them. In their own deductive minds, they assumed what they think are the real essential variables that will inadvertently affect the final result. Essential variables like GDP, inflation, unemployment or the fiscal deficits are what they assume to be the main and only invariants that will affect any economic forecast/calculation. The problem is that there were so many other variables that they were not seeing or assumed as important. Variables which seemed invincible and inconsequential. But which has a very great power to turn things around the reverse way. Variables like the opinion of an African market woman about a particular import product, market sentiments, unhappy and uninformed investors, the crises in the middle-east, immigration and emigration surge. And even variables that seemed so far away from economics like the kind of social culture that is evolving in America and Europe especially with the young people or even how government and security officials treat the unemployed and vulnerable in Africa. The average Nigerian today is so confident that he knows the future and destiny of the country. The popular estimative calculation is that it is a divided country, sluggish dependents of science and technology, crumb eaters economically and a place to run away from as far as you can. Even though in our idealist mind, we still have a blurred and vague picture of a great nation, but that is for the far distant future and not in this or the next century. The problem with these calculations is that just like the economic geniuses, there are so many other variables that seem invincible, inconsequential and less important. Variables the unflinching passions and sacrifice of many civic societies that are trying to fill the hole that has been left by the government. Little integrity and anti-corruption battles fought by individuals and small groups that suffered what seemed like a loss. The time sacrificed by men who refused to offer bribes to corrupt police men on road block. The voluntary anti-corruption civic voices that is being raised by so many young people around the country. The ostracization that has been suffered by individuals, priests and pastors who preached and stood by national integration and unity. The silent pain of ridicule and charlatic gestures suffered by the early people that dared to believe that Nigeria has the potential of being great again. The losses that has been incurred by men whom refused to bow to corruption. The unrelentless, passionate and selfless fight led by a group of nation building missionaries known as GEMSTONE Ambassadors. If God will open your eyes to understand the weight of these variables and so many other unseen variables, go and redo your calculations, and you will find a startling result. A very powerful outcome with a lot of energy is on its way to wash off the ancient, decadent, uncivilized and backward system and a new great nation that nature has pre-determined will defaultly replace it. Albert Einstein once said “if the facts don’t fit the theory, then change the facts”. If your facts don’t fit this great realistic future that at the moment still look theoretical, you better change your facts. God is a perfect artist. He has structured nature so perfectly that she an expert at protecting causality (cause and effect) to the most basic levels. Isaac Newton the great scientist in his scientific theories described a universe with a universal TIME scale which is constant and unchanging. (what is known as the Newtonian universe). Albert Einstein later came and described a universe that is relative, where TIME is distributed at different rates according to where you are in the universe and the speed at which you are moving (Known as the Einsteinian universe). Even though there is great country that will undoubtedly come in the future which will accommodate everyone, causality will make sure that her new political, economic, social and intellectual wealth will be distributed according to where you are standing at the moment and the degree and frequency of the ‘CAUSE’ that you are feeding into the system. Some of these basic ‘CAUSE’ are very simple things that we take for granted. Things like; how you talk about the country with your family and friends; stop those negative affirmations, they are not good for you. The way you drive when you get to a traffic jam; you sincerely think that you are the only one in a hurry?. The way you carelessly drop litters around the road and drop wastes in street gutters; think about it for a second, will you do that in your own house/room?. The way you treat those under your authority and vulnerable to you, as a lecturer, as a civil servant, as a building contractor, as a landlord, as a security guard, as a pastor/priest, as a guardian and even as a driver on the road; come on its not a territorial lizard fight of “who is who”. People are meant to be respected and served with your authority. How you handle public funds, no matter how big or small. How you initiate and respond to social responsibilities that are not within the boundaries of your immediate nuclear family and community. The kind of identity that you indoctrinate your children with; its time we rise beyond clans and ethnicity nationalities to become Nigerians. Relatively speaking, these decisions are wonderful and very good but also a bit selfish in a way because the person that will gain at the end of the day is you. Because whether you do them or not, this Nigerian dream must be a reality. The dream of a nation state founded on justice and honesty of purpose. A Nigeria that has a zero tolerance for corruption, religious and tribal bigotry. A Nigeria where people will proudly say “iam a Nigerian living in so and so state” and not a Nigerian of a particular state of origin or ethnicity!. A Nigeria where the votes of Nigerians will count and we shall bid adieu to electoral fraud. In no distant future, our democracy will be built on one man, one vote. The condition for the sustenance of constitutional democracy. A Nigeria devoid of unemployment and insecurity. A Nigeria where citizens are actually proud of their citizenship and can actually take it to the bank. A Nigeria where Nigerians enjoy critical infrastructures such as good roads, water and uninterrupted power supply to mention but a few. A Nigeria as graphically described by the GEMSTONE Ambassador Amanze Iyamu in the following excerpt: “It’s Wednesday, December 31st, 2025. The time is 5.30pm. This is a great day. At exactly 7pm there will be a grand gathering of all those who dreamt of this day. Yes, it is the realisation of GEMSTONE 2025. It all started sometime in 2013 I believe, my memory fails me, when a great man called Fela Durotoye, dreamt a dream of a future Nigeria. It was a dream that come 12 midnight December 31st, 2025, Nigeria will be one of the world’s most desirable nations. It was a dream that Nigeria will be so economically buoyant, that we would be among one of the top 20 developed economies of the world. It was a dream that the green passport would be the most sought after the world over. It was a dream of foreign nationals trooping into Nigeria to be a part of the good things happening in Nigeria. It was a dream that Nigeria will be producing at least 1 million megawatts of electricity from many sources of power generation such as solar energy, nuclear reactors, and geothermal sources, not just from hydroelectric sources alone. Guess what? One Nigerian discovered how to generate electricity from the air! I’ll save her name for later. The dream we dreamt back then was a dream that the average Nigerian higher institution will be comparable to the Harvard’s and Oxford’s of the world. Today, we have 15 Nigerian higher institutions among the global top 100. We dreamt a dream that Mushin would be like Dubai, Port Harcourt like Sydney in Australia, Jos like Nevada and many more cities of ours would be so advanced, Nigeria would be a mini-heaven. Many years have passed and today I can boldly declare that we have become that dream. Tourism has increased so much so that we now have rock-climbing as a sport in Jos, sky-diving in Obudu and Maiduguri, and deep sea diving in Lagos. There’s even this spot called Aquatic City in Lagos. I really can’t explain it but let me just say that it’s like a big aquarium where you can go under it and see the beautiful fishes. The design came from a Nigerian who had seen a prototype in Japan. We have also become a permanent member of the UN Security Council and we are the current head of the African Union. Other wonders in the Nigeria of 2025 are: -the underground subway systems running from Maiduguri to Sokoto with stops at Potiskum, Azare, Kano, Funtua and Gunmi; -the ferry system in Lagos that runs 24-7-365 moving both human beings and automobiles around the state; -the first and second mission to the moon (we are working on the third one now); -our music artistes have won a total of 14 Grammy awards and have had 35 Grammy nominations; -our movie industry finally set up “9ja Movie City “at Jos. It’s a 30 acre facility comparable with Hollywood. It’s got 45 studios of different era of Nigeria and many cities abroad. We have won a total of 5 Oscars and have 8 Oscar nominations. We’ve even featured a few Hollywood actors and actresses in our movies. Yeah, movies...home videos are now a thing of the past; -some individuals have shot a total of 10 satellites into space. Together with the government, we now have 16 satellites. Well, these people put together are richer than the nation. I happen to have a stake in 4 of those satellites. We reasoned that rather than have the satellite TV station, why don’t we own the satellites? We bought over 2 very popular global news stations. Which ones? Well, I’ll tell you much later. -our democracy has become a model to the world. After massive awareness campaigns across the nation, many things changed. Today, we have a truly representative nation in terms of the government. -a 10-star hotel in Lagos Nigeria. It’s called The Dream. It’s awesome. It’s got 5 floors underwater! How we did it, I don’t know. The guy who designed it, one young man from Gbekebor, a city near Warri, said he got the inspiration from wanting to have a fun spot near the water. It’s a miracle! The guy is in the Guinness Book of Records. -the “Multi Car”, created by a Nigerian who got tired of the Lagos traffic. It’s a car that can move on land, water, underwater and capable of lift-off and flying like a chopper. It’s so ingenious, I mean, he franchised it and now our own car factory’s are producing it and selling to the world and the world’s buying them like wild-fire in harmattan. Time would fail me to talk about the other great things, but today, I begin to wonder what if no one ever dreamed of it? What if nobody worked at making this a reality? For we dreamt, we believed, we fought for it, we worked towards it, we made sacrifices, we made changes where necessary, we asked for forgiveness where necessary, we became a movement, we became a force for change, we spoke about it, we wrote about it, and finally, 2025 is a reality”. WELCOME TO THE FUTURE!!! “The universe has just three steps she uses to create anything. Anything from stars and galaxies to planets, new civilizations, new social structures, new inventions and great nations. It starts with visualization either by God or a human being then followed by attraction and then manifestation” “first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win” Mahatma ghandi “it always seems impossible, until its done” Nelson mandela GEMSTONE NATION BUILDERS FOUNDATION www.gemstoneng.org 2 Likes

What about redicting α picture?? All U̶̲̥̅̊ need is the background, α particular object nd U̶̲̥̅̊ just want to mimic the concept? Is it wrong?? Nd what of pictures that U̶̲̥̅̊ got frm the internet that are without copyright. Do U̶̲̥̅̊ have to create frm the scratch everytime?? Do all good graphic artists do that?? Apart from nairaland, is there anyother legal restrictions I should know?? Thnks!! |
