Politics / Re: Do You Think Bayo Shittu (nominee From Oyo State) Should Be Confirmed? by TopHand: 6:04am On Oct 21, 2015 |
I was extremely disappointed with his comments of BH his rationale for not criticising their actions when he should have out rightly condemned them he is said to be a top Muslim scholar yet he shrinking away from his responsibilities, his top priorities should be defence and support of the Deen of Allah and there is no greater enemy of Allah today in Nigeria than Boko Haram, Mr Shittu excuse for not doing anything is at worse cowardly, everybody has a family and locking yourself up in a tower will not prevent death from coming at the set hour, every Muslim has a responsibility to support Islam and that includes fighting and condemning hypocrites BH are hypocrites, they are enemies of Allah Subhana Ta 'ala and as a top scholar to not do anything is a conscious choice to refrain from doing a good deed. On the issue of giving salaries to religious leaders/priests etc this is was not the practise of the early Muslims, most of whom had professions and trades and they were the best of scholars, the zakat tax is meant for running the government and catering for the poor, the central role of our religious scholars should remain as a provider of moral function to the people, this is not to say that the govt can not issue grants at local, state and federal levels to religious providers but this is a privilege and not a right |
Politics / Re: Prove You’er Not A Dictator, Tribalist; Adebanjo Tells Buhari by TopHand: 5:05am On Oct 20, 2015 |
Pa Adebanjo people normally look to and respect the elderly becos we believe that with age comes wisdom, all those mistakes of the youth pitfalls growing into a an adult, learning and becoming a wise man unfortunately in your case you never became wise and at 70 yrs you will never become wise, it is a great wonder that despite rubbing shoulders with a lot of eminent people all you were able to gain was wealth and nothing else. How does that brain of yours work? how do you think? can you not see properly that the SW has invested political and material capital in installing PMB into the highest office of the land, yes you are a pdp man yes you supported GEJ in the last election, but pdp lost and your secret is out we know who you are, you only think about yourself you pretend you fight for the common man yet all you want is to keep us in bondage and have us hail you and your kind, everybody can see that APC is a SW party embraced by the north, pa adebanjo you are a failure your presided over the splintering of Afenifere you failed to keep a united front and now you want the SW to embrace PDP a party firmly in the hands of SE, a wise man once said he became wise the day he realised he was a fool, he abandon his foolish ways and began to learn wisdom, you Pa Adebanjo are not wise and will never become wise, 6yrs of GEJ rotten corruption and you still have the guts to open that your mouth which you kept shut becos pdp was ramming chicken change into it, PLS leave Sai Buhari for us we like him we love him we want him, instead PLS think about the next life in the hereafter your time is over 2 Likes |

deeptesting:We can all agree that mr Nnamdi has been promoting treason and sedition, his game plan is to either become a matyr, a rallying point to the world, he has violated the sovereignty of Nigeria and deserves death but as I said previously he will learn wisdom by force, hanging or putting him before a firing squad is the easy way out, when he finally gets out he no option but to call for an armed struggle and when he does, checkmate, he will finally be put out of his miserable life 1 Like |

What is for certain is that the this mr kanu as made a terrible mistake in returning to Naija by listening to those voices in his head which by the way are definitely evil he will learn that wisdom is different from education, this is a downfall make no mistake about this, we will soon forget about him as he rots away in detention, if he thought he was going to be charged will a crime he is in for a shock, although now that he is in jail and most likely definitely 100% guaranteed to remain incarcerated until 2023 he is realising that his plan A is dead on arrival and if Apc wins again in 2023 mr kanu's problems will only grow worse. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

Politics / Re: Nigeria Military warns Nigerian on Cluster Bombs by TopHand: 8:56am On Oct 09, 2015 |
I am shocked where did BH Terroist get cluster bombs from, cluster bombs are not easily available on the open market only few countries produces them as they have been banned by the UN becos of their indiscriminate destructive nature, from the looks of things BH have been buying ex Libyan stock mainly available in Niger republic, the army should try and depoly their forces intelligently, the focus as shifted to Yobe this is not supriising since BH has been decimated in north eastern parts Borno state their traditional stronghold, the army should beaware of the dangers knee jerk reaction to troops deploy, They have to control the pace and locations of engagements, they have to control the war, for this they will need more numbers to mainten the pressure in Borno yet be able to depoly fresh troops to yobe, although it may be tempting to relocate troops from Borno to yobe this will be a stragetic error not just becos those troops who have already become very proficient and effective in destroying BH in Borno state will now have to return to the drawing board and learn how to fight BH in Yobe, this means they wil now have to become accustomed to the terrain and methods of operation BH uses in Yobe, and becos BH commanders in Yobe will follow a different mode of operation and have the advantage of terrain they and will easily be able to slip back into Borno state, while the army can redepoly's some resources like comand and control centres, key battle commanders etc, they can not afford to cut corners by a major redepolyment of resources from Borno to yobe state, the army's game plan should be increasing the numbers of personnel and applying all the lessons learnt in Borno state, this should include the use of new forms/methods of gathering intelligence, new tatics used to disrupt the supplies and logistics of BH, and intensiflying the particular use of those weapons/munitions that has not only put BH into hastily retreat but made them unable to adapt or stand toe to toe anymore with our gallant troops. I believe it is most likely that Abubakar sheaku is hiding in the Yobe regions and Inshallah our troops will get him there. |
Business / Re: Custom Boss Lifts Ban On Rice Import by TopHand: 6:05pm On Oct 08, 2015 |
SenseiX:while I agree on reasoning behind boosting local production I totally disagree with the implemention, Gej govt was insincere, more interested in giving permits to cronies to import rice than really encouraging self reliance, the reason people become wise is becos we learn from past mistake and adopt ideas that actualy work, Gej govt did not learn anything from IBB failed effort to boost rice production in the 80s/90s under the SAP programme, while IBB totally banned rice, Gej decided to partially ban rice and and introduce half hazarous policies that are extremely bureaucratic full of neocronism, access to much needed resources such as loans, fertilizer, seedings etc is an headache of wasted efforts on the part of the farmer. The fact is, for the govt to boost rice production the govt has to buy the product from the farmers at a premuim price, this is how Thailand became the largest producers of rice. The US and most western govt attain self reliance in food production by ensuring that no matter the situation e.g bad weather drought/floods, dieases/pest or price crashes on the international market etc the farmer is always fully compensated for his efforts, today every year Europe, US and every developed western govt uses subsidies to support their agriculture. Basically what I am saying is farmers not only need easier access to resources but they, more importantly need the govt to buy the haverst from them at a high premium encouraging everybody to go into farming until then the agricultural sector in nigeria will remain under utilized. if you know that the govt will pay you a top price for every rice seedling germinating on your farm regardless if drought or flood or pest or fulani man brings his cattle and destroys it even bankers will be fighting to become farmers, the programme just needs to be supported for a few years and b4 u know it rice is everywhere |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Pension Commission Responds To Oshiomhole's Latest Allegation Of N3.5tr by TopHand: 4:43pm On Oct 08, 2015 |
josephola2:Not if the person selling you the bonds is broke, if you take your raw cash 3.5trn naira eg and buy worthless bonds that will mature in 10 or 15 etc years from a broke govt how is your fund going to pay the monthly pensions of millions of nigerians, this is the reason why the most pensioners dont recieve their pensions becos the govt refuses to pay interest on 3.5trn pensioners cant do anything becos even if pensioners go to court the fund will say the govt has our money and the most the court can do is request the govt to honnor the terms of its treasury bonds. The question Oshomo is asking is what was 3.5trn used for? Gej govt got the money from the pension fund managers by selling them bonds, now after acquring the raw cash from the fund what did Gej govt use the money for? 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Boko Haram Bombed Abuja To Mock Recent Military Victories Against Them – NLC by TopHand: 1:15am On Oct 05, 2015 |
I believe the term "mockery" is been misused in this context, I do applaude the optimism and support shared by the NLC but I truly believe this is a desparate attempt by BH to show relavance, the fact that this bomb attack was carried out in the night reflects a total departure from their normal mode of operation with regards to the use of improvised explosive devices. BH have always depolyed IEDs or sucide bombs during the day time, two positives we can take from this attack is 1. The level of security in abuja is decent it is high enough to deter BH from trying to depoly the bombs during the day, what the security forces have to do is mainten the vigilance and monitoring level during the night too. 2. There is a BH sleeper cell in abuja run by a very senior member, instructions to mount an independance day attack will only come directly from the very top, so whoever is in charge of the abuja cell is in contact with abubakar shekau. The DSS have been handed a major break becos at least one failed bomb was found, a complete analyises of the bomb should be carried out, first all fingers prints must be lifted from the device, secondly all materials used in constructing the bomb must be carefuly unraveled, questions like how was it constructed? where there any local materials used in making the bomb? who deals with such materials in abuja, there are so many questions so many leads to follow. The DSS should also start using gunpowder/explosives particle test kit which is a clear chemical liquid and will within minutes indicate if that individual has handed explosives |

bumeks:why must he marry a woman of 45 years? if you decided to eat rice in the morning what gives me the right to force yu to eat cornflakes?, Sex is a genetical traits programmed into humans by the Almightly Creator, everybody like sex, that is a fact both old and young, man and woman we all like sex, as a man I will tell you categoricaly most men find youth in a woman desirable we are programmed like that way, our survival instincts dictates that a young healthly female is ideally suited to carry our progeny, just the same way women are attracted to power in a man, be it physical physique, money or just plain good confidence (be truthful female Nlanders how many of you have fallen to a man just becos of perceived confidence?) why? becos the female nature is attracted to her perceived alpha male, so asking someone to go against his/her desire is like asking for someone to not b human. So the bottom line is that most men are at this moment very envious of the Emir we all wish to be in his shoes......ok wait, hang on a minute, let me check to see if my wife is still sleeping......if she catch me typing this hmm trouble in paradise) anyway sister dont vex money is not everything and I choose been a friend of GOD over been rich, but earning money honorable and it can get you in your case sister, a young handsome husband (that is if you are not married my apologies) if not just go and buy that latest merc 1 Like |

People please leave them alone, everybody has the right to repent and go for Haji, intention is very important I pray that their intention is correct. My advise for all those in the Holy Land performing Hijira is to desist from wasting time using social media during these few precious days and nights you have been blessed with, nairaland, facebook twitter etc is not going anywhere and will still be there when you get back, concentrate on your ibada and on perfoming your haji the right way, there are so many duas to read and there is still time to correct whatever mistakes or omissions you might have made perfomin your Haji, seek out the many schoolars all around you and find out if you have perfomed the wajib of Hajir correctly (if not performed you have no Hajir) if you have made mistakes go back and perfom the act again you still have time, forget about the cost, spend your money happily remember you only need to perform Hajir once in your life (if you have the ability) pls remember me too in your duas may Allah Subhana wata alaa accept all your efforts Amen. 1 Like |

Tkester: I am at loss to where you coming from, pls educate me, you want change you yearned for a better nigeria yet you dont want crimminals brought to justice, how will corruption go away if you do not fight corruption, yes it is true the Nigerian political arena is dominated by corrupt men and women and removing them all is impossible, the next logical step will be how to get them to change, how can that stealing attitude be persuaded to change, this is what PMB is doing, President Buhari is interested in getting as much looted money back as possible and anybody (Saraki) who is refusing to play ball or trying to frustrate this strategy will face the music, be well assured PMB is not going after anybody if you can return a certain percentage of what u stole you are free to go, if you say you will frustrate these plans then life will be hell 4 that person, all the politicians are very dirty and there is just too many offenses to pick from, on the issue of vision and strategy this is irrelevant becos no matter how much you encourage economic growth if a group of people keep on looting proceeds of growth you are back to square one or how do you explain running a business only to have your manager steal your money, you have to place the donkey b4 the cart and not vice versa. I know you support PDP but the truth is we can not have that set of people come back to rule us again, no way! until the party can get rid of the old guard, or reform itself and become the party of the working man with a good anti corruption core, until then PDP is going nowhere, so it either changes or dies a natural death within two years 4 Likes 1 Share |

Originalsly:you have said it all, good location is the first step, and if you get a good location try and buy it, I keep on saying this, pressing this point good location does not mean Balogun market, or Terminus market in jos, it means foot traffic, opened to routes of movements, area near existing businesses, you can always go into towns, into neighbours and find one plot half a plot, quarter of a plot from a landlord in a good location 2million can get something I know becos this what I do sometimes the children of the landlord oppose I tell the landlord if all your children dont put hand in the document forget, most of the time landlords want to sell their are old they want money to go and marry a new wife etc, but the point is if you are going into retail or services industry try and raise capital to buy land build a shop use it for car wash etc then raise money and start the business you set yur mind on, yes access to cash is a problem banks and their 16% interest dont even think about it, sleepless nights and heart attacks, find a good friend or friends write a constitution, an agreement, terms and conditions that should guarantee everybody's money, make it easy for people to leave the venture if they are no more interested, make this agreement legal with the right authorities job done. people if you going sole trader unless you can get a 15 year fixed lease try and buy your business premise even b4 you write yur business plan 1 Like 1 Share |

Do not let failure hold you down, it is better to try and fail than to not try at all and just dream of what could have been, the truth however is that you actually suceeded, you have become top authorities in that section of the economy with valuable knowledge, for future references if you ever go into an already flourishing business sector key to survival is keeping your overheads to a bear minimal that means basicaly buy your shop, or buy land in good location, half a plot, quarter of a plot this is expensive but is the key most important decision for anybody going into retail and services area even if your business plan is bad, or you lack experience in the area you will still suceed becos eventually you will get your business plan right and you will acquire the necessary experience although this means running the business at a lost or just breaking even you can afford to becos the emotional distress of paying monthly rent is non existence. pls dont give up, your business ideal is solid try and raise money through saving for a year or two then buy a good location dominate existing similar business by provide extra services like a pool room, gaming room, free newspaper, even a barber facilities etc dont give up 1 Like |

I remember talking to a govt official durnig the PDP era and praying that things should not spoil he replied he wants things to spoil, I asked why he said it is when things spoil and there is confusion that is when he makes money. Everybody seem to be unaware why Single account has been brought in, it is to block loop holes of corruption, no more accounts for different contracts, accounts for this and that where one commissioner or government official can divert monies into hidden accounts some states are operating so many multiples of thousands of different accounts that nobody in the state really knows the true number, the real reason why when the then CBN governor Alh Lamido was kicked out was becos he was pushing 4 this policy. Nigerians it is your money if the banks are complaining and sacking people becos the gov wants to plug corruption let them go and learn how to do real banking business and become part of the solution instead of being part of the problem. 2 Likes 1 Share |
