Your present Job makes more sense than the Bank Teller Job.

With your present job role, you can quickly gain quality experience and switch to other FMCG or manufacturing industry easily.

Bank teller job will take all your time away, you will be glued to computer from 7:30am to 5pm doing same thing over and over again.

It's kinda difficult to use your bank teller job experience in any other industry. It's kinda useless .

PS. This is just my personal opinion , and I could be wrong.

IT is wide. You need to go with the IT path that aligns with your passion and interest. And not because it sells.

For starters, I will recommend you go the Cloud computing route or cyber security courses

Eg. 0365,Azure Fundamentals or AWS if you can afford it.

Thereafter you can add the normal conventional Windows server to it . (You will surely need this last last)

If you wanna go the cloud technology route then CCNA is not a prerequisite.

To identify which path in IT interest you, go to YouTube and watch through the tons of videos.

Follow the path of the IT path that interests you.


If you get big brain, you can search and learn about Ai.Machine Learning .


Caveat: This is just my personal opinion and I could be Wrong.... Lol

No course in Nigeria is useless, as long as you have a goal and belief that you will excel in whatever you do .

We have seen CRS, French or geography graduate become Managers of Banks or Manufacturing company.

I studied Mass communication even with a not too perfect result, but by the Special Grace of God, I am an IT Manager in one of the top 5 FMCG/manufacturing company here in Nigeria .

I have worked in several banks, Multinational FMCG, IT tech industry without lobbying or going the Nigerian way .

All you need is to do is; despite your course of study or Grade, Pray to God to define your path and have a defined goal and have the FAITH that you will excel.

I wish you or your friend the best and I hope I have been able to inspire someone.
