Regasification is not that
SIMPLE
It is very expensive
It would cost at least $ 1 billion to deliver a regassification plant with a capacity of 1 billion cubic feet of gas daily not to mention staff recruitment training and safety measures
You would need I billion cubic feet to produce 1000 MW/h of electricity
You have clearly never heard about modular units. Not everything LNG is the size of NLNG Bonny. On greenvilles's website there are pictures of modular cryogenic storage tanks and regasification units which the company installs at any facility they intend to supply gas to.
A simple google search on greenville lng as i earlier recommended would have answered the questions you asked, but you seem to think you know everything there is to know. Newspaper links on google will show you that greenville lng is fully operational supplying lng to the north. So you know there are at least 4 lng refueling stations btw ph and kano which serves those trucks.
I see that you have potential but ignorantly destroying it with refusal to open the mind to build on the little knowledge

Sir I have read up
Please if you want to quote me do not put your own comments inside the quote

I am just asking simple questions
1. Which power plant uses uses LNG
2. Do you know of any regasification plant in Nigeria

If you think about it

It does not make sense.
There is no need for LNG in Nigeria so I am not inclined to believe this without evidence
LNG is not cheap . The obvious sensible option for using methane close to source is pipelines which we have so why should we use LNG

Also you cannot use LNG without a regasification plant and finally

HOW IS LNG transported WITHIN Nigeria
It is not something you move in cylinders like cooking gas

This is not a matter of reading what Greenville says at their website
but JUST THINK ABOUT IT if you truly know what LNG is
Now you're beginning to sound like the other guy you were arguing with here earlier. Be open to learn about what you don't know rather than sticking to only what you know.
From my writeup do I sound like i just readup on Greenville's website?
Just so you know, lng is transported in cryogenic tanker trucks from port harcourt to power plants in kaduna and kano daily, on Nigerian roads
Regasification is simply warming the gas to ambient temperature.

Sir before I start let me say I am not insulting anyone.

I think you are making a mistake

There is NO NEED for LNG in Nigeria

It is simply NOT NECESSARY
I am willing to learn so if there is a power plant that runs on LNG that you know please share the information
suspect that what Greenville is marketing as LNG is actually LPG
To the best of my knowledge there is no REGASIFICATION PLANT in Nigeria
Again if you know of any please share the information

Greenville LNG produces LNG (along with the other associated hydrocarbon gases) which is trucked out to be utilized by power plants without any export. There are also few industries (i know two) around the country that use LNG ( trucked from Greenville) to run their plants.
This is to bring your attention to the small upcoming local lng market aside the 100% export by NLNG Bonny

Read and make some findings about Greenville LNG Rumuji port harcourt and you would thank me for this. There is always room to learn and know more my friend

All your ranting is because you couldn't bring yourself to accept that you are ignorant of the issue and that guy struggling to school you knows what he is saying.
And, its nonsense for you to have even attempted to argue with him on LNG import.

Cooking gas (LPG) is also liquified

There is a fundamental difference between LPG and LNG

We use LPG in Nigeria to cook and it is also liquified NOT METHANE

LNG is mainly methane while LPG tends to be butane

LNG is stored at very low temperature minus 160 degrees Celsius enabling larger quantities to be squeezed into smaller spaces making it worthwhile as a business

The LNG is then transported by special ships and at the other end there has to be a REGASSIFICATION PLANT. These are all capital intensive infrastructure that has to be justified on commercial groundS
We use methane to power energy plants and this is delivered by pipeline
.
There is no need to liquefy methane for use in Nigeria
because there are pipelines

The main reason for liquefaction is to reduce cost of transportation . I know there has been talk of pipeline through the Sahara and the Mediterranean as an alternative which I believe would be commercially viable but the politics and security could be a challenge
I see how you have been battling to educate some folks here who clearly know next to nothing about hydrocarbon gas but won't admit it.
You are largely right that Nigeria does not consume its LNG, however, be aware there are pockets of few power plants that run on lng here, yes, I know in Kano. Their lng consumption is statistically insignificant (zero) when compared with those export figures, so you are somewhat right.
Ever heard of Greenvile lng in port harcourt? Very meagre production capacity but all utilised locally without export

You seam to be a weakling parent or parent-to-be.

So after giving her a last warning and she defaults thereby telling you to your face that you can't control her even in your house, you will watch her become a prostitute hoping for her to change. Nah. She will only be more daring and then it might be too late like the one in the story.

You are the kind of parent that contributed to this generation of almost condemned children. People like you are the ones that will say "leave am, na small pikin, she go big pass am".

A girl child that is bold enough to flout your simple domestic & moral rules already has a camp outside. It's better she learns the hard way outside by herself than become a runz girl under your watch.

People wouldn't have blamed the mother that much if the girl was living outside the house.
In all your rant you failed to address the pertinent questions i raised. That is the basis on my further engagement with you

The killer will definitely kill another woman.
It’s not his first and wouldn’t be his last.
Instead of blaming the killer, idiotic Nigerians are blaming the girl!!! This is why I just hate hate hate dealing with majority of Nigerians cos they’re poor and think so fucccking backward!!!
Poverty kill them!’
Well said!
If that killer on the loose is not apprehended it will only be a matter of time before he strikes again. Next time may not be a 'loose' girl that sleeps out, but an innocent girl returning home from Church in keke.
Haba! People here have condemned the victim but have nothing to say about the perpetrator of the gruesome act!

Nah. I don't think they curtailed her enough. As for me, one last warning and you default, it's either you go and rent your own apartment or better still I will ban her from sleeping in my house since she has become an "adult" and can no longer respect my orders.
Listen to yourself man! Ban her from sleeping in your house so she can fully move into the streets and perfect whatever it is she does on those one nites away?
After moving from spending a night away from home to living fully away from home what would you have achieved? A girl child without any source of income at that!
These things are not as simplistic to the parents as some of you are seeing it

Exactly. The lady was raised in a morally bankrupt home where they virtually approved of her prostitution life style
Not necessarily, as there is no indication the parents approved of her 'one nite' disappearances. She is an adult remember, and you have no idea the extent they have gone to curtail her
Crime / Re: Plangnan Solomon's Mother Speaks On The Death Of Her Daughter by Tpharell: 10:21am On Jan 17, 2022
It seems disappearing to an unnamed location for a day was a 'normal' practice for her deceased daughter. What could the parents have done considering they were dealing with an adult? Such grief brought upon them

People calling for legalization and licensing of kpofire operations fail to realize that the only reason the activity is profitable is because the crude is stolen from pipelines. Ask them to pay for the crude and the business becomes unprofitable. Infact, they can't even break even, talk less of making profits due to the inefficient and incomplete processes.
Let's not encourage illegality!

This is the crux of the matter. License them to continue to break pipelines to steal crude? Because if they paid for the crude they would not even break even, much less make any profit because of their inefficient and incomplete conversion processes, and would abandon the business

When they are unlicensed they are illegal. Let’s call a spade a spade in this matter.

Do you know that there are what they call Modular refineries now in this country? These are mini refineries licensed by the government. The fact here in this matter is that certain greedy persons in those areas claim that oil belong to them and they can actually do what they like. How many people are employed? The police and Nscdc personnel guarding those places are already employed people, yet they make illegal income guarding those places.

They are NOT local refineries and they are not even refineries. Refineries have standard operating procedures and one of them is how to manage the environment. These greedy people do not care about the environment and that’s a major problem. No responsible government will sit back and watch certain persons continually pollute the environment in addition to what they presently experience from the legitimate organizations and keep quiet.

Governor Wike must be commended for this action. Hopefully these illegal refineries are shut down before the people begin to suffer cancer and other dangerous health related matters.

Cheers.

Thank you for the write up, even though you failed to address the critical issue of breaking pipes to steal crude. Those calling for them to be licensed failed to realise that those people have no access to crude except stealing. And if crude is sold to them they cant even break even due to the inefficient and incomplete conversion process.

There are actually some sites that dont bother with OTP, like netflix just put your card details and voila you have paid, they dont send otp to the person.

I have done some transactions in some foreign site that dont require OTP.
So if your atm get lost or stolen, call the bank to block it because if you dont your money is gone
What about the four digit sacret pin of the atm card?

OP According to your statement, your brother lost his ATM when he was at home, and the unauthorized transaction occured when he came back home. The perpetrator ofthis act is likely within.

Good day, everyone. I lost my brother's Polaris bank ATM Card last month. He didn't bother to go and block it in the bank, and went for his military service in Borno state.

He came back this month and this afternoon, he received debit alerts on his phone, as a result of the lost ATM card. When I came home this evening and he showed me the alerts, I discovered that prior to the debit alert, he had received message requesting for OTP five times. I was dumbfounded and till now I can't grasp how it happened.
Most likely scenario. Someone very close had access to that phone and retrieved the otp to complete the transactions, which explains why there was no transaction while he was far away on duty. Someone who knows the atm card pin

Every ATM card has a secret four digit pin required for transactions, and not inscribed on the card as the other details (except the card owner foolishly choses to do so themselves). Is it possible to bypass that?

They probably guessed the OTP for the transaction or used AI to generate the code. The money is gone.
Guessing the six or eight digits OTP successfully is highly improbable, if not impossible. But what about the four digit secret pin required for transactions on that card? Can that be bypassed?

Its all the more clearer why the twitter ban was lifted just on the 'eve' of electioneering. The government of the day does not want the opposition to have a headstart going into 2023 elections considering they defied the ban and remained active on twitter. The incumbent government understands what many who will shout "there is no polling booth on social media" cannot comprehend.

Its true that 'there is no polling booth on social media', but it will be highly disingenuous and foolhardy for anyone to play down its role in influencing public opinion.
