Set destination to island on first trip.

On last trip set destination back to Oworo.

But you are limited to 2 destination trips per day, I'm hoping to carry out that pattern continuously.

How I do mainland to island and vice versa? I do not really know how to answer this but I'll try. I just pick trips going to island(lekki precisely). Then when I get to lekki, I pick trips going to the mainland. The prices you call nonsense might not be though, that's if you know how to calculate it at a glance and pick fast. For instance if the time to complete a trip showed 1hr, that's 7k. If you see any amount less than that, forget it. If it's 1hr 30 mins, it is 10k. If it's 30 mins, it's 4k+
You need to also use a fast phone and a fast network.

I might be wrong to some people but this is how I calculate mine.

Thanks this has been helpful, I usually use Cheerfulgiver's pattern of N100 per minute which is almost identical to yours but the issue is the trips I see heading to the island are usually poor.

Secondly I do short trips a lot, perhaps that will stop permanently now, cause how do I do up to 11 trips a day and still struggle to make 20k net.

Thanks once again.

mainland to island and vice versa.

Then trips from 5k upwards

Please Mr Babs I'll like to ask how you achieve this routine cause it almost doesn't seem to work for me. How do you do you mainland-island-mainland trips consistently?

I stay in oworo and most times my first trips are always to Ikeja because I refuse to pick nonsense prices I see going towards my preferred destination(island).

Weldone sir,

I must confess you're a real gem. I've gone through the as you asked and I believe mine can be fixed as well sir.

Please can you link me up with the seller of the ECU currently in this particular "small yansh".

I believe if he will be able to get my worries off me.

If you suggest any other method I'm very much open to listen and apply.

The brainbox has always been the issue

I'd love your opinion on it boss, should a new brainbox be fitted into it?

This you have seen? cheesy

Hello sir good day.

I had an issue with my kia rio 07 gear, it doesn't select beyond 3, so I called a gear rewire, he diagnosed it and fixed it, he also told me the brain box had issue in which I asked him to repair it.

It worked for a few days only for the previous issue to start all over again.

I had to change him completely because I felt he did a bad job, got another gear mechanic who advised I get a complete tokunbo gear.

After installing the gear, the issue persist, even worse now, the cause accelerates slowly.
I was told yet again it's the brain box, and I've been advised to switch to manual.

Please what do I do?

I really didn't want to stress this issue cos I feel this forum shouldn't be a place to air private matters. But for clarity sake and a reply to your opinion,I will shed some light

I think everyone is missing the whole plot here. I asked a question out from curiosity if it's allowed for a driver to sell parts of car without a informing the owner and making changes to a vehicle too. I needed a simple straight forward answer from experienced car owners and drivers here in this section.

The question wasn't directed to Omoapena cos I already did privately which as usual treated like a treat.

The problem i have with this man is that he paints me like a bad person, just to get cheap likes and sympathy from anyone who cares. He says i pray for his downfall, I winch hunt him(I haven'tseen this car in more than 5 months nor seen him), says I like comfort in misery yet I make things very flexible for him.

In January this year, he carried me along in some expenses he made on the car and he wanted to bring it down for inspections. I told him not to bother i felt there was no need to bring the vehicle down ,rather he uses that time to recoup the money he's spent. I understood.

Some weeks back,he told me he won't meet up with payment and stated his reasons,I obliged and told him to pay up the following week. I also borrowed him some money to assist him on personal issues that period.

I just want to be carried along on issues regarding the vehicle, "I tend to this on the vehicle", "the vehicle is giving me issues on this and I feel doing this will make my job easier" . Is that a difficult task to do?* the idea is for me to understand situations especially when it affects the job and not me been blindsided on issues and matters regarding the condition of the business which includes driver's wellbeing and the car also.

Apologies to every member of this forum who seems to witness unnecessary issues that happens between me and Omoapena.

Shalom

You're panicking over trivial issues to be candid, there are drivers who do way worse and no one bothers them. Why? No one knows how they modify the cars.

You're getting worked up cause you SEE his moves here on this thread, if he posts less, you'll have no issues whatsoever with him.

Don't get it twisted bro.

When I collected the car, I told him to change the tyres and rim but he said how will he use his money to do that, he said he can't do anything in the car...

He wasn't ready to spend a dime on the car after we signed the deal.

I started using the car and I converted the rim from 15rim to 16rim in 3months, told him about it and even told him how much it cost me for the rim upgrade, I didn't just do that...

And what you said concerning using car of 3m to devalue it to 800k in just 2 months, pls how is that possible when no accident occur?

And someone who had dropped part payment for a car to become his, will he mismanage it to extent the car will get devalued, owner will not just be the one to loose if the car gets devalued, i will loose totally as well, my time and resources put together will be of waste and I'm doing everything possible to avoid this but he always come with problems on problems...

1 you talk way too much.

2 you fail to apply wisdom in your dealings. What stops you from using an alternative username to post the parts you intend to sell?

3 if at all you want to dispose them, must it be on nairaland?

I don't even think you have a bad partner bro cause if you jam wicked person ehn, lemme reserve my comment.

This is a good question, I will share from personal view as well as what my fellow e-hailers are doing.

1) I utilize a 4 plug engine car for this business to save cost but if yours is 6 plugs you are not at a disadvantage though.

2) Make sure your engine or other fuel associated parts are in good conditions too, cos some fuel mismanagement may be due to this fact too.

3) Your choice or ride pick matters too , it's not a must to go pick a rider whose destination away from you is 22 minutes yet his real travel time to where such rider book is 15 minutes. I do ensure to add both time it will take to reach rider and their final destination to know if it worths such price before picking. I won't be able to do this if I'm doing higher purchase or rental, desperation makes some people pick even the worst or weirdest trip.

4) Conserving fuel while alone, you don't want to consume your fuel without a trip. Sometimes you can pack at an eatery, chill there buy a soft drink or something that can afford you relaxing in such place till you get a trip. Don't sit in the car with full AC on. Know that you are also consuming the fuel.

5) Peak temperature periods, these hours from 9am - 5pm see most cars being hot internally due to rise in ambient temperature around 27-34 deg in must part. Note that traffic is also with those hours sometimes, I could decide to do few trips within these said periods but diligently hit the road from 6pm-9pm as I will need less AC or sometimes I crave the indulgence of my passenger that I won't be able to on the AC throughout except we hit a traffic cos of high cost of fuel. Most do cooperate while some tyrants ones do complain but we still head on.

I use Honda Accord 2009, full tank @ #169/litre costs me #11,500. With full tank, I make #85k-#95k though I get more than these sometimes when I get tipped by riders. So, let's do the maths.

#85,000-#11,500 = #73,500 (mind you, I sometimes blow free from some long distance when I'm tired or closing for the day. I'm not a full time driver)

Fuel Consumption Ratio : Revenue Ratio

11.5 : 73.5 or 1 : 6.4 (I understand when I'm below this ratio likewise when I'm above it.

There's no way on God's green earth you'll make 85-95k with 12k fuel.

You even use an accord and you make that much with 12k fuel? I'm not even sure you can gross 85k with that. Haba!!!

Avoid driving your car on very low fuel/ reserve level. It's not good for the fuel pump.

I guess this is the major cause. Thanks a bunch.

Except you are ready to buy OEM avoid new ones. U can buy new China filter but the pump must be grade 1 toks or OEM

@Itsrm
I know OEM is pricey but after buying 3 failed pumps, e for better say he strive to get an OEM to save him stress and time especially as it concerns he's work tool.
I know say e no easy, God go provide for us all.

Noted. Thanks.

What car are using? You need to change whoever is buying toks pump for you. Min. Toks pump should last for @ least 6 months. Go to another rewire and request for another vendor.
I bought toks pump 6k march 2022. Still going strong.

Finally, i hope you are also not part of the crew that won't buy fuel until they see the warning light on the dashboard...

Firstly I use a kia Rio 07, I've never bought any toks pump I usually go for the recommended new ones.

Lastly I'll be honest, I have had my fuel get to the reserve level a few times.

Please how do I permanently solve a reoccurring fuel pump issue?

I've changed my fuel pump 3 times over the past 2 weeks yet it disappointed me again today.

I've scanned it, no other issue except this particular one.

I stopped using the app, if you can get both indrive and Rida the better for you.

Only use bolt when you need a trip home.
That 25% is massive.

Update 4

Days 26 - 29 of December 2022

3 days of driving.

Gross total - #197,300. Commission paid 19,434.

Grand total in 29 days of December -

#1,201,100

Net total - 1,082,791

2 days left to go, 30th and 31st and I'm sure driving.

I'm doing this because most people looked down on indriver and said it can never be done. I like proving people wrong.

When anyone tells you you can't do it, look them in the eye and show them a middle finger.
