Celebrities / Re: Nollywood Actors Robbed On Set While Filming by trium: 10:48pm On Oct 16
People attacking that first guy who responded to the OP, I think fear has to do with age. When I was a younger age, I fought off 2 guys with guns. One attacked me from the back, the second put a gun to my head. I was too angry that I fought one of them before they both ran away. I was too angry that night because I was not ready to lose my items even though, when reflecting, it was not worth my life but I still fought them. They ran away after they met my resistance.

Fast forward to 10 years later when I had family to take care of, I cooperated with the stupid young boys that came to rob my home. Those boys are old enough to be my kids but I obeyed them, no resistance because I had family to protect. I was the one who took them to where the money was, I remember a banker once advised me to have cash at home for things like this. This is where I agree with the poster who said the women will increase fear because men will calculate the collateral damages if they act like rambo. Women were more valuable to me than to fight those boys. God forbid, what if those boys wanted to rape them? I will fight them to my last breath because over my dead body. Let them have whatever they want except my women. I could now prioritize what was more important to me than fighting them. Thieves also assess their potential victims before robbing, they know men like them can do anyhow so they too assess the risks before operation and look for the weak point. One man or a group of men can act like soldiers if the scenario presents itself. Why do you think men die young? We take risks, we die heroes and we are natural protectors.

Both events occured in the dark. The first one, there was even streetlight to see them. Different things work in different ways. Some people have died from the first incident, some people survived the second if they attacked. This life.

Agriculture / Re: What Are Our Leaders Doing About Making Food Cheap??? by trium: 5:19pm On Oct 16
Can we take this up like a food emergency

I don't see any reason for palliatives. Let us delcare a state of emergency first people must eat first to survive. Even the man without a house still looks for food first. I cited Tinubu's jet earlier but that does not absolve the others, LG councillors and Chairs, State Governors and everyone in a position of leadership.
Agriculture / Re: What Are Our Leaders Doing About Making Food Cheap??? by trium: 4:07pm On Oct 16
My response to the post, do you agree

Konquest:

If those food delivery trucks and trailers in the uploaded image and elsewhere have dual CNG-gasoline hybrid fuel installed in them, that would instantly drive the cost of haulage and food sold in the markets down. Nigeria is more if a gas-producing country than a crude oil country because of the massive gas reserves which have more value in USD than the fast-depleting crude oil reserves.

With the geopolitical tensions and war between the Israeli on one hand and Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Iran on the other hand, if things escalate further and Israel massively bombs Iran as planned, the international price per barrel of crude oil will further rise thereby causing a massive spike in the pump price in many countries and also make absolute nonsense of the cost of feeding and transportation that folks in Nigeria are currently complaining about. A rapid and massive deployment of CNG (methane) fuel [which is far cheaper than PMS at N200 to N230 per standard cubic feet of CNG from NNPC and NIPCO CNG refill stations] and CNG conversion kits or outrightly purchase already factory-produced large CNG trucks and buses by the states such as Niger, Kano, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Delta, Edo, Imo, Rivers, etc, and the central government is what would prevent the spread of more hyperinflation thereby making nonsense of the so-called minimum wage that is being implemented by some states.

The hyperinflation though is LARGELY a mix of artificial inflation due to greed and speculations, illegal toll collection by revenue agents on interstate routes, and illegal checkpoints where some security agents collect bribes. These have gone on unchecked for years since the days of the brutal military dictatorships in Nigeria, and have to be tackled immediately by the governments at all levels in order to remove these food distribution inefficiencies on interstate routes. Period.

We used to have trains. Trains can haul x10 of an average trailer. It is faster too.

Watch this documentary to see how The British transported and exported our food in the 50s. It is not hard, it is the wickedness and selfishness the OP listed that has made the politicians to ignore the simple things that used to work before. You will see yam in the documentary that OP is talking about again shocked

OUR POLITICIANS WHO LEAD US ARE THE WICKED ONES. VERY WICKED PEOPLE.

Imagine wasting the opportunity of leadership to make people poor. Give them basic amenities and life will be easier. If leaders display good behaviour, the people, their sheep will follow.

This topic is a tip off from the thread about cost of food in the North. I am a historian and I like that footage of the past can now be seen online. One commenter posted a great idea about CNG but my question was, why do we need complicated things when we used to have simple things that worked in the past

Fun fact: did you know that Nigerians from every part produced and exported food to feed Congo in the past

Argungu fishing festival was held just to produce fish for them shocked

I think they know o. They know very well about their damages but revenge through bad treatment of the other gender is sweeter to them than trying to heal, which would actually be the real work.

What about innocent ladies who fall for these bad boys

Sometimes it's that, sometimes it's also insecurity or fears that simply won't allow the men to go the loving and fair way. But men should be working on healing themselves, rather than devising harmful means of handling women.

I agree with you. I think there are damaged men and women on both sides of the divide and most times they don't know. Don't you think so?

Before a man will go ahead to be very bad to women, he will first pump himself very full with bad ideas about them. Very very evil conceptions about the characters and ways of women. It's the drug that will help him to do so much without any conscience.

I actually noticed this in real life.

Are you saying the bad boys or men are suffering from trauma they don't know of
