Politics / YALF Protests For United Nations Reforms by TrumpetMedia: 10:50am On Aug 19, 2015 |
It is crystal clear that Africa faces a seemingly ever increasing range of security challenges. And this is why the Young African Leaders Forum (YALF) – a youth-led pan-African movement, whose utmost objective is to effectuate sustainable development in every African nation, has risen to the responsibility of finding a solution to the continent’s crises. As a Forum, YALF believes that for Africa to develop significantly, Africans are to be involved in critical decision-making processes that affect their continent. With this in mind, YALF is lobbying for an African seat at the helm of the UN Security Council. The UN Charter established six main organs of the United Nations, including the Security Council. The Charter gives the primary responsibility of maintaining international peace and security to the Security Council, which may meet whenever peace is threatened. Over time, Africa’s peace has been threatened by the insurgencies and all kinds of terrorist activities. Yet, the continent has not been considered as qualified to occupy a seat amongst the permanent members of the UNSC. YALF strongly condemns this. The major objective of YALF is to stand in support of this great campaign to ensure that Africans are represented at the pivotal level of decision making within the UNSC – since 70% of the UNSC agenda are African-related issues. The continent shouldn’t be excluded from making pertinent and fundamental decisions that affect it. YALF believes that involving Africans at the apex of their affairs will help improve the security of African states and its citizens, as well as create an increase access of security measures from the UN by African states, moreover set forth principles for an agreement. The UN Charter clearly states that its purpose is to recommend method of adjusting disputes or the term of settlement and to determine the existence of a threat to the peace and recommend what action should be taken.YALF believes this is a dispute to have no Africa member at the permanent level; yet day in day out, the security and peace of approximately 1.1 billion people are been threatened. As African youths, we are standing in the gap for the continent and requesting this pertinent issue to be resolved at the UNSC – if at all significant development in Africa is something to go by. To realize the AU agenda2063, YALF pledged its unwavering support to the AU Committee of Ten Heads of States on the UN Reform in the campaign they dubbed #Africa@UNSecurityCouncil. The youth-led development-focused movement strongly affirms that Africa is part of the international community and its diverse range of problems – especially in peacekeeping – deserves to have a permanent seat at the UNSC. By launching this great campaign, #Africa@UNSecurityCouncil, YALF is appealing for the support of the international community including governmental, religious, nongovernmental, private and corporate organizations in realizing this movement and sharing the ideology world over. At heart with the AU Committee of Ten Heads of State, YALF pledges to stand firm in its quest to see Africa represented at the helm of the UNSC because as a body of African youth leaders, it vehemently believe that Africa has its unique strengths which cannot be ignored. In one accord, YALF therefore launches its #Africa4UNSecurityCouncil campaign in all parts of the world where it has representatives, friends and partners. Politics / Listings Of The OTUEKE MAN With Fedora Hat by TrumpetMedia: 10:35am On Mar 25, 2015 |
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the Otueke Man who loves his Fedora Hat. Why him? He is the man who exposed and broke the oil cabal... Having deducted from the fuel subsidy, many oil suppliers have little or nothing to exploit from. He thrashed god-fatherism in politics... Ask Olusegun Obasanjo to know why he has been BARKING at the President. He is gradually delivering us from neo-colonialism... Wait, why did the United States' Vice President call to tell us how to run our elections as a nation? Can Joe Biden try that with Russia or even China? We need TOTAL SOVEREIGNTY, so why are they interfering? He is showing the world-power that Nigeria can exist and be we sustained without its help... Since the highly respected US refused to sell arms to us in the fight against Boko Haram (may be because we rejected their gay law), the man with the Fedora hat continues to rip off the insurgents with clever secret helps from China and Russia... Nigeria is winning the fight against BH without the US... He is building an economy that would benefit all of us for many years even after he is gone... I should be buying the latest INNOSON made in Nigeria car soon... That IGIRIGI APC for the Military is also very ideal... That Sports Car by UNILAG passed the test in the Netherlands, so it can work here for us... Those who gained YOUWIN funds will serve as beneficial institutions tomorrow... Those who were sponsored to study outside the country will also spur the development of our land when they return. Agriculture is booming via Adesina... Yes, I heard that Nigeria would start exporting IJEBU GARRI to the Brits soon... Lol The man with the Fedora Hat is sustaining Nigeria even in the face of the GLOBAL OIL PRICE CRASH... I hear some OKPO youths ask questions like: "what is GEJ doing, N215 to $1" "Who says he is not a cluessless president?" These ignorant youths go ahead to say: "GMB will raise the value of one Naira such that it will be equal with one dollar i.e., N1 to $1" And the BABA 'kukuma' jibed: "he will stabilise the oil market" "he will raise the value of naira". Many of those who properly studied ECONOMICS in secondary school are laughing in HONG KONG... It's easy to criticise and to find faults especially when you think you are knowledgeable, but it is very difficult to lead a group of IGNORANT/GULLIBLE people. God's Will will prevail on Saturday, but I HAVE DECIDED to vote for the continuity of the TRANSFORMATION that I am seeing everywhere. #IHAVEDECIDED. #OTUEKE MAN |

Family / 7 Qualities Of An Ideal Wife (wife Material) by TrumpetMedia: 8:37pm On Feb 27, 2015 |
For those seeking for a wife material or an ideal wife, here are things you should look out for... For ladies hoping to manage and supervise a better home/family, here are things you must be introspective about... An ideal wife possesses those personal characteristics which promote individual and FAMILY greatness. An ideal woman is the crown to her husband and her price is far above rubies or gold. A perfect woman is a devoted and vision- filled woman. 7 CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL WIFE 1. She is Godly: An ideal wife serves God in spirit and in truth. She serves Him with her body also and follows His ways. 2. She is chaste: This is portrayed in her attitude of fidelity as she keeps herself for one person in a reserved lifestyle. She is trustworthy and ideal in marriage. 3. She is industrious: A great wife works willingly with her hands, does the right thing at the right time and does not grumble while completing her tasks. 4. She is neat: Cleanliness is next to Godliness. As such, an ideal wife cares for her body as he keeps her family and surrounding clean. 5. She is an altruist: A good woman uses hospitality to minister to those around her. She reaches out to the poor and needy as she is not selfish. 6. She is mothering: She teaches her children the ways of God, nurtures them with the love of Christ and disciplines them with care and wisdom. She is a good mother and wife. 7. She talks less: An ideal wife is not a talkative. She opens her mouth in wisdom and her tongue is the law of kindness. An ideal wife is a woman of worth and beauty who doesn't walk aimlessly but uses her time wisely. She is patient, diligent, benevolent, humble and kind. And above all, she is a woman of LOVE; for this is the greatest of all. |
