This is digital era in a modern world and you can explain about your new RBC account and also print along copy of your account showing the transfer to the new account if it has arrival or evidence the transfer was made that proof is perfect it not compulsory you carry large cash if you can make alternative arrangement to transfer the money.

Below statement from RBC website

It’s almost time! Here are some final details that will help make your move to Canada smoother.

Arrange for medical insurance.
Your provincial government-sponsored medical plan will not be active for the first 90 days you’re in Canada.
You may want to bring a six-month supply of medications. Brands may be different in Canada and prices could be more expensive if you're paying out-of-pocket. Be sure to review the list of items you are allowed to bring into Canada.
Order Canadian currency.
Plan for enough to cover out-of-pocket expenses when you arrive, before your bank account is activated.
Transfer funds to your Canadian banking account.
To enter Canada you may have to show you have the required funds to support your family. This is easier if the funds are in a Canadian banking account in your name.
Check the amount of money you will be bringing.
You must report it to Canada Border Services Agency if you are bringing in $10,000 CDN or more, whether it's in Canadian dollars (cash, cheques, etc...) or the equivalent in your country’s currency.

Alright. Thanks a lot.

Had the same issue and contact the Royal Bank of Canada and got this reply below

You can open your account before you arrive in Canada. In order to do so, you would simply need to submit your account application online
During the process you will be asked the question "Do you live in Canada"? Choose "No" as this will designate that you are currently a non-resident looking to open an account prior to your arrival.

Once you complete the application it will be sent to our International Banking Advisors who will follow up with you directly within 5 days to give you the information you need to have the account set up and be able to transfer funds to it before you arrive.

For more information on banking in Canada, please visit our Welcome to Canada page, at:

http://www.rbc.com/newcomers/

Wishing you all the best with your move to Canada!

Thanks for contacting us. We'll be happy to help you again if there's anything else you’d like to discuss.

Pls I would like to ask this... if I do this and transfer my POF to the new RBC account and I'm asked at the airport at the time of arrival for my POF what can I use to prove that it was transferred to Canada.

Gift deed by Notary public can cost that much.

The alternative is affidavit (commissioner of oaths) at your local magistrate/high court. That's the cheap one.

Nope. I did my gift deed at notary public for 2k as well. it's not expensive. I'm in Benin.

Guys this is my first time writing I’m so broken inside I don’t even know what to do again. Writing ielts for the 3rd time and still not making it is devastating. especially for the fact that I’m unemployed and I have to save the money everytime on my own. It’s really devastatingly.
1st try with BC. LRWS- 8.5, 6.5,7,8.5
2nd try with MOD LRWS- 7.5,8.0,6.5,8.5
3rd try with MOD LRWS: 8.5,6.5,6.5,8.5
This is demoralizing I have done my ECA since August just waiting on this IELTS and now I was really hoping this would be the last time but I can’t believe I have to continue this again next year. I prayed and prayed and I studied and studied still nothing. This is almost 300k wasted. Having to watch my friends that I even told about the program move on and get PPR and I’m still stuck here. lemme just stop typing I’ve been crying since morning.

I heard writing ielts with IDP is easier to pass instead of British council. Its like british council does random marking coz of the imcreasing number of people writing these days. I know someone who had been getting low ielts score after many trials and then tried that of IDP and finally got the scores he wanted. check out their website.

the test was just like the normal dragnet test as e dey be. Hard as usual.

the test was the same for enugu and lagos, don't know if it is the same for oyo and other locations.

i can remember having a numerical question on managers(old and young) and another on on shares(like how many shares of A can yu buy after selling shares of C and receiving dividends)

while for the verbal i can remember having a comprehension passage on a topic like working from home and productivity of millennial (something like that sha), cocoa production in shey it was Congo abi where again sef, then one online sports (e-sports) comprehension like that

i guess we should look forward to next year for replies

Can you imagine. Those were the exact same questions during my time too.

Make I dey patient sha.
