Oya I will answer. Good evening. Go to your school (university), the registrar's office and request for your EPL. Good luck.
Chriswazo:

And if this will take time, go to your department, get ur secretary to draft it for you with the letter head of the department, then stamp with department or HOD stamp, this can be done in a day if u buy the sec meal sef
MidEastPrince:

Go to your school and ask them there sir! We wouldn’t know how you’d get it from your school!

Guten abend, Jeder.

Amidst the tension of awaiting ALs, Visa Appointments and AMs, its good to know this space can be a medium of immense comic relief as well.

@amihbkt767676: I'd just add to what the two options that've been given. Generally, it depends on school. it can be issued from the Registrar's office to Admissions and Exams and Records, just ask around what office issues it in your school.

Also, English departments (and, sometimes, Department of Linguistics) in few Nigerian institutions have standardized tests, conducted at a very cheap rate, sometimes even free, compared to the international likes of TOEFL and IELTS, which can serve the purpose of EPL as well. I heard some of these departments can even arrange the teat for an outsider (someone from outside the school), but not sure about this.

So, go to your school, ask around and know what obtains and consider the purpose for which you want to use the letter as well (what do they want exactly).

Viel Glück.

hi guys, is it safe to book appointment without AL now?

As it is, at this stage, It's best to wait and observe the trend through those applying with their AL already till one is sure how the
new system works.

So in a nutshell, what category should someone going for masters go for?

May person no make mistakes?

Na the koko be that, the whole categorization thing is confusing. But if the scholarship thing in A is compulsory, then that solves it.

Another issue is to know how near or far the dates they'd be giving would be...this is particularly important for those that might be getting a late AL, so as to know when to book for dates (if the admission is sure).

Make person no go book for date get appointment next week without AL or wait till AL drops and there are no longer (practical) dates to make it to the program.

Please, as regards the checklist, what happens if one doesn't have a primary school leaving certificate, shey testimonial go suffice?
And the extra copies to be taken along, must they be certified, or is the certification of documents meant for school applications alone?

Thanks.

You can use form A or Dormicilliary account. The latter is better, but you would source the Euros from aboki yourself. The bank charges can be as high as 57 Euros. The bank officials would wire the cash to your BA, after you must have filled the forms correctly. Good luck.

I’m applying for this course too but not master degree, bachelor degree. I think I’m to use campusonline platform. Please what did you for your English language certificate?

@Kevwe06, for the English language proficiency, the is the option of standard test (TOEFL, IELTS & co) or your School Thesis. I have both, used TOEFL because the score is over 100+. Like I suggested earlier, get across to the programme coordinator for the BA...would make your admission and application very easy.

@Kevwe06, for the undergraduate studies, what is stated in the school's application regulation is via CampusOnline and Uniassist. However, you might want to contact the department (for pre-evaluation and this specific enquiry) and the international office too to be sure. In my own case, o contacted them first for the preevaluation (this quickens the admission process for international studies) and I contacted both the international office and the programme coordinator, which was how I got to know program would be moved from the MoveOn applivation platform to CampusOnline.

Check the application/admission requirements page of the course you would get a detailed explanation of what to do..and if u are still confused just send a mail to the Course coordinator or who ever is in charge of admission.. You would get there mail on the contact session via the application page

Don't use nipost if u don't v atleast 1month before the deadline
UPS or FedEx(14k-17k) are affordable and reliable

Thank you @fabcol, I already got across to them, said its won't be necessary as the programme I'm applying to would be moved from MoveOn to CampusOnline which doesn't require sending via post.

Thanks.

What do they mean by CONFIRMATION OF DEGREE CERTIFICATE?
I saw it among the documents required

I'm applying. It'd be updated once your transcript(s) gets to MUN. They'd use the date of degree certification on your transcript to update the requirement/column.l

I hope this calms you.

Student Landing Gist

Happy new year everyone.

Today January 1st 2019, I received a call from @Naijaforeigner who told me a nairalander would be landing at the London International Airport at noon. The guest was arriving from Lagos via Toronto and was coming to Canada to do his master at Western University. @Naijaforeigner asked me if we could go to pick him at the London International Airport. After checking with "mrs TheCongo2", there was no objection. However, mrs asked me that I should give the kids their baths before going out of the house grin . And this was done promptly.

I left my house to pick up @Naijaforeigner and then we were on the way to the Airport.
London International Airport is small with only one terminal. The flight from Toronto to London can take about 30 minutes whereas the road would take 2 hours. It was 10 minutes past noon when we arrived at the aiport and our guest was already there. His flight had landed at noon. He didn't have to go through the immigration process in London given that he had done that in Toronto.
Given that he was coming to Canada on student visa, he was given the work permit at the immigration in Toronto. Foreign students are authorized to work ON and OFF campus in Canada while enrolled in school.

Our guest didn't have the time to wait for his SIN number application to be processed in Toronto because he had to catch his connecting flight to London. So, he decided that he will apply for his SIN card in London. Given that January 1st is a holiday, all businesses were closed. Therefore, we couldn't assist our guest with the process of applying for his SIN number nor open his bank account nor getting a cellphone. He would wait for the next business day.

Our guest intention was to stay at the hotel for 3 days before getting an appartment. However, before our guest arrived, @Naijaforeigner had already called around some landlords in the vicinity of Western University. Naijaforeigner knows the challenge of getting accommodation in London given that he himself had arrived in Canada 3 weeks ago on student visa. Therefore, he wanted to use his experience to help new comers.

After we left the aiport with our guest, we went straight to visit the first house and we were welcome by the landlord. This man was very friendly and welcoming. The house had 5 bedroooms and 2 of the rooms were unocupied. All the other tenants are student from Western University. This place was also within a walking distance from Western University. One of the rooms was shown to our guest. It was furnished. The landlord told our guest that he could move in right away by only paying the first month rent. There was no need for a lease nor a downplayment. And he could move out anytime he wanted. I personnaly like the place but our guest didn't seem too enthusistic about taking it. Our guest wanted to visit the other places before making his final decision. We told the landlord that we will get back to him and left the place.

We drove off to visit the next house in a new and very nice neighborhood. We were welcome by the friendliest elderly couple. This couple was white. In fact all the landlord we saw today and the tenants were white. The elderly couple live alone in a 2 level house. When we walked into the house, the couple ushered us to the lower lever of the house which was the basement. They were renting their basement which was furnished. The basement had a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room set but no kitchen. We all loved this place. But, there was a downside. No cooking. If our guest had to take that place, he wasn't going to be cooking in the house. At this our guest turned off this place given that it would be too expensive to start buying food from restaurants every day.
On our way out from the house, I noticed 2 books by John Grisham on a table. I screemed "Who is reading John Grisham".
The wife pointing the finger to the husband "He is the one reading them".
I told them how John Grisham is my favor author. Then the husband gave me a book by a different author and told me "Take this one and read it, I am sure you will like him as well".
Wow ... I marvelled ... I got a free book from this couple.

We drove off again to view another place. This new place was a 4 bedrooms house. The landlord was expecting our visit and he was on site. All the tenants were also students at Western University. After viewing this new place, our guest was satisfied that this was the place he was going to take. The landlord told him that he can move in right away if he wanted to. However, our guest explained to the landlord that he was going to stay at the hotel at least for one day and would move in the next day. He provided his email address to the landlord so that the landlord can send him the lease to sign.

Then, we drove off to the hotel. The hotel name was "Guest House on the Mount". Our guest paid for his stay with his nigerian credit card. He was assigned a room. It was almost 3 pm when we got into our guest's room, almost 3 hours after he had landed in London. We seated down and started to chat. Our guest said that he didn't like London from what he had seen so far. He was disappointed with London.
Suddenly, I received a call from "mrs TheCongo2" with the majestic "Where are you?"
I told her that we had just got to the hotel and I was ready to be heading back home.

By this time, our guest remembered that he hadn't eaten. He was hungry. @Naijaforeigner was invited to a nigerian party. So he decided to take our guest with him so that he can eat nigerian food. To get to the party, we had to drive from the Northern part of the City of London to the Southern part by passing through downtown London. OMG... our guest's mind about London changed as we were driving through the city. He found that London Ontario was extremely beautiful and he loved it. He felt like he will enjoy his stay in London, Ontario.

This is wonderful. well done guys!

You are suppose to send it to them through the school, that is the only way for it to be stated 'official' I suggest you send just the Bsc or you can take the OND to the school for them to attach it and send all once. Login to your MUN platform you will see the docs required of you. Send all through the school.

Are you sure about this?

I suppose what makes a transcript official (or any other document) is the fact that it's directed to the school (the transcript would carry the name of the school to which it's being sent to in the transcript and the envelope) and a signature/stamp authenticating it.

Justobserving1:
Opening the transcript makes it invalid.so I will advise that you send it separately

You should be able to send it together. What makes the transcript unacceptable is if its been tampered with by opening of the envelope. Hence, you can have both envelopes in a bigger one, then send.

First, you can write the school and tell them about your intention (how you'd want your OND transcript sent to your latter school so that both transcripts can be sent to them for easy tracking, and to save you cost and time. Or, you can just talk to the courier service provider you intend using...they'd surely help you out around it as all documents are taken to Lagos first before being dispatched to their destination, so they can help you merge both and dispatch together.

In my own case, the courier service provider (UPS) collated my transcripts at my two schools and dispatched to MUN. Also, I wrote the school as regards the issue of late release of one of my transcripts, and I was permitted to send a scanned copy till the official copies arrive.

Good evening, everyone.

I just applied to MUN and USASk for graduate studies. My question is, how do I track my applications as both are no longer displaying on my portal, and I'd love to have an idea of how long it takes both schools to give a response?

Thank you'll.
