Someone I know was just sent back from that POE, so it will be best people avoid that POE as much as possible.

Is the person pregnant or a regular visitor cos I heard they are more strict towards pregnant women.

Why was she sent back

They’re denying entry into the US to pple who have stayed in the US for up to 5 months on their US visiting visa and they’re denying it straight from Mutala Mohammed Airport. It happened to a friend's mum, she spent 5 months in the US on her last visit. The airline refused to allow her board and directed her to the embassy, las las she was informed it was because of the duration of her last visit...not sure if the visa was later cancelled or revoked (don't have that info yet).

People, lets be careful...Trump is changing things e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y.
Just thought I should share it here.

Why are you so angry ? Have you secured your visa yet ? There are many legal ways to get papers in this country without marrying.

This one that you're screaming visa up and down, it's clearly a big deal to you.

Dude, wake and smell the coffee...people get US visas everyday even the "unqualified"...

You can say that again.

There are too many jokers here. I'm going to comfortably bet that less than a tenth of all those huffing and puffing about how they'll "hustle" once they get Stateside or wherever will even get a visa.

If one is eligible for a visa it should already be in the works and one wouldn't need to come to a public forum such as this one to sound airs.

For those who think they can still get in and remain illegally in a country like the US in 2018, reality will hit hard and painfully.

It takes a joker to know a joker.
Everybody is talking...even the people that did "arrangee" to get papers...#pieceofshit

Those who are making noise that they will go abroad and hustle, they need to get visa first before they start shouting.

Offcourse, that's the way it works...no big deal!
Travel / Re: "Living Abroad Is More Difficult Than Living In Nigeria" - Lady by TsunamiHot: 7:37am On Aug 18, 2018
All you people making noise and telling people not to relocate (illegally or otherwise) to the US are just wasting your time. You have found your path, let other people fly too. People be coming here preaching how life is hard in the US but their asses are glued there, face your front and mind your business.
It remains Mr A prerogative whether to stay out of status or not, whichever way it turns out for him...no be today person start to hustle.

Paint the "gloomiest" pictures about living illegally in US all you want, person wey won waka go still waka...#yeyedeysmell

Thanks for including the fact that you won't even be able to drive if you are illegal even if you have 1 million dollars to buy a car. I didn't even know this. There is a lot of suffering if one is illegal, but you become these people's enemies if you tell them. All they want to hear is, just come to America and everything will become paradise for you.

This is actually incorrect, about 12 states(California, Maryland, Illinois etc) in the US issue driver's license or driving permits to illegal immigrants. Let's at least verify information we put out here (like they say..."Google Is your friend).

I'm not endorsing(not that anybody needs endorsement. ..lolxxx) illegal migration though, just wanted to chip that in.

I've already applied and have my interview soon, I just hadn't discovered this particular section of nairaland, before my application. Just so you know, i'vent read less than 100 pages of this section before I began to ask my questions, I was answering my self silently with other people's scenarios before I began to discover instances that my trump my chances at the interview.

What's the problem, don't hit on me like that, your

manner of passing message across doesn't reflect your best level of politeness, thank you.

Oh no, I'm not hitting on you but you keep going on and on about your application and "chances"...it's so frigging tiring.
Prepare for your interview, hope for a positive outcome and stop clogging the thread...Kapish

True, I may not be as polite as you...no vex

Will you just apply already...and if you no wan apply, make we hear word.

Amen oh, amen.... Palpable tension these days. Nobody understands the "ogbanje" spirit that seems to be gaining the ascendancy on this matter, worse still, stuff could go either ways. But then: knowledge (you and LadyG bam here wella na); travel history/visa usage both to the US and other places; our jobs and financial standing; family ties; etc will always be to our rescue as long as Nigeria itself doesn't take a plunge into the deep and go bananas....

Be giving yourself "hope"...

While I abhor violence and any form of sexism.
Identity crisis is what triggers SOME Naija women that were brought over into silly stupid things like that. The men also have their own little share of the problem.

I have seen so so many examples and that is why I usually advice Nigerian American men who want to settle down to either marry Nigerian American
Ladies or East/South African ladies. If you must "relocate" legally with your "follow come" naija wife you both must sit down and iron issues , have alternative plans and put FAMILY first...

Greed and "status symbol" kills relationship especially for newly "immigrated" couples or "come over" wives
Those Nigerian Americans ladies are not always the best, I'd rather go for a Caucasian lady...They can call cops for their own lives.
Las las, not all "come over" or "immigrated" wives are wahala prone...na make person just pray marry better one.

Loool!...The bottom line is that she's trying to abscond permanently to the US and the smart VO caught her.

That's very obvious, don't make it sound like you just made a "discovery".

Sadsad...its people like you that give us a bad name, you're not likely to get that visa anytime soon except in your dreams offcourse.

Well, maybe it was randomly done or applies more with people that are using their visas for the very first time. Early this year, my sister travelled to the USA and her ticket was for 2 weeks but for some personal reasons she extended it to 2 months and had no issues at ORD.

Note that it was the third time she was visiting using the visa.

Was it your first US visa or a renewal? And was that your first trip on the visa...asking for a reason.

I have a friend that the "arrangee" husband didn't show up on the day of the interview. She later got someone else and it went well.
I think it's a little bit easier for women to scale through with arrangee marriages as men marrying USC are scrutinised more...
It's illegal and wrong but las las "one has to do what one gas to do"
