Politics / Re: Oshiomole confirmed as Governor of Edo State! by tundetire: 4:01pm On Nov 11, 2008
I really would appreciate it, if Adams Oshiomole could read all our comments here to let him understand that he must not fail us. We love him be cause we know he has great ability to deliver. However, if he allows the politics of bitterness, godfatherism catch up with him he will fail and we shall still boot him out of Government. I hope he chooses to put his feet in the sand of history to do the right things.

Can we all answer this question? Do men learn from History? Oshiomole should please learn from history and bring development to the great people of Edo State. Amen

I am not a fan of the rule of law, i like and admire good governance and i think Osunbur will be better a hundred times mark my word I am from Benin City.

No matter what you feel my brother, if there is no rule of law, there will be anarchy, and people who are not supposed to rule us will rule and problems would occur. If Oshiomole comes and does not rule well, we will still kick him out of government by the ballot papers. We do not want people's mandate to be stolen again. This is what we are saying. Let democracy reign.

There are lessons to learn from this judgement

1. What God has ordained, no man can turn around. When people have spoken no matter the tyranny brought upon them, the truth will always prevail. wink

2. Tough times never last only tough people do. cheesy

3. The only permanent thing there is in the world is change. cool

4. Democracy and the rule of law has began to take shape in Nigeria. grin

5. INEC Chairman Iwu or what is his name, should honourably resign from that post or someone should just kick him out. I learnt he even said he conducted a more reliable election than the USA's election. angry

The latest on this issue is that the IG has proclaimed a wall of Jericho unpon Edo State, no going out no coming in (News in ait this morning). Forced no movement notice proclaimed by State Government yesterday between 7am and 4pm today.

What an irony, elections were held in America, people were rejoicing, in Nigeria, we are held at ransom by people who are supposed to Govern us and provide hope for its citizenry. Na wao. God help us ooooo angry

Investment / Is February 2009 Deadline For Dematerialization Of Share Certificates Realizable by tundetire: 6:34pm On Oct 26, 2008
Recently, we heard that by February, 2009, share certificates would be a thing of the past to be replaced with cscs certificates bearing all your stocks. While this is commendable, is February, 2009 realistic? If not, which time would you suggest that it takes off.

NO 1 Lucky Igbenedion: no meaningful development in Edo State, the man has taken off. Nobody knows where he is.
NO 2 Abacha: Thank God, he was taken off by God, else, he would have destroyed everybody.
NO 3 Babangida, he stole, owns 50 rooms apartment in Minna, destroyed the economy and still want to come back and lead this nation.
NO4 IG Balogun, was arresting robbers across the border, yet he was stealing ang killing policemen within the border, ah! God go judge.
NO5 Ibori, turned a village to modern town, stached away millions abroad and wants to enjoy it. Na cancer go kill am.

Come to wander, no armed robber has been metioned. You know why? the above mentioned people serves as example of those who encourage the robbers to steal. The are the ARMED ROBBERS.

Business / Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc by tundetire: 8:59pm On Nov 19, 2007
Gentlemen, Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc, is a subsidiary of GT Bank and the company did a private placement last year, does any one of you know whether they would be listed?
Business / Re: Globe Re-insurance by tundetire: 7:52pm On Nov 19, 2007
The private placement of Globe Re was a successful one, however the company is yet to be listed. What actually happened was that the company wanted to merge with Nigeria Re and they had actually signed MOU with the company. It however happened that the Board of Nigeria Re and NICON took the Government to court with respect to verification exercise embarked upon by NAICOM. Globe Re inventually pulled out of the merger talks asa a result of this court case and applied to SEC who granted a 1 week period for the company to get more funds through the private placement which you also subscribed to. Before that time, First Bank Plc had signified their intention to take about 51% of the shares of Globe Re, we learnt this was successful and made many people to subscribe to the private placement. We heard that they may be coming for listing in the market very soon by introduction. I think it is a strategic buy.
