Advisory:

if you don't have enough it will also determine if you will be granted visa Why? because if you do not have enough to take care of yourself and your sponsor is not footing the bill it only means one thing you will have to work within the time of your visit which they do not want.
So apart from your ties with your home country, they are also concerned about your welfare when you go over to UK

i agree with you,i actually forgot to include that ...other things been fairly equal in my case .. i was actually quite worried about my gf inviting me i took a step of faith believing in God. included necessary documents they asked in the application for my peace of mind.

Good Afternoon Everyone, I must commend you all for all the information. It's my first time here and I need advise and suggestions please.

I am about to apply for a UK Visitor visa 6 months with the intention to spend 6 days in the UK. I previously schooled in the UK for a masters program and came back in 2015 a month before my visa expiry date. I currently work and earn 150k a month and I have my 6 months recent payslips. I will be staying in a hotel in Coventry and will visit London and Birmingham just once for some tourist activities so I can manage my funds. My issue is that I do not have enough money to cover all my expenses. I will be covering my hotel, feeding and shopping allowance and intend to spend 300k. My dad wants to pay for my flight tickets but he wants to use his company account to support this claim as most of his money is saved in the company account. I am a director in his company, although i do not currently work there but my name is on the CAC documents. I have the following documents;

Bank statement (Salary/Spending account with about 100k and Savings account with about 500k)
Hotel reservation
Itineary
Cover letter
Dad's personal and company account
CAC documents
Letter from bank stating my dad as signatory to his company account
Dad's bio data page
Employment Letter
Letter from Company to embassy approving my leave.

I have tried to explain everything mentioned here in great details in my application and cover letter, I would like to know what my chances are in getting the visa.

My other alternative will be to use a male friend as a sponsor. He is a UK citizen and currently lives there and has a very good job with a bank. I am very skeptical about this because am worried I might be denied seeing that he is a male friend. I fear they might think I want to run away and stay with him.

Please kindly advise on the best way to go about this.

Thank you

In my invitation letter.. My girlfriend invited me (2nd visit visa application) .. She wrote I would like to invite my boyfriend who blablabla..... I still got the visa.. Infact In my first visit.. My uncle invited me stating in the letter that I would see him and family and visit my girlfriend at some point.. Got it. .. UK is extremely concerned about visitors going back after visit.. Strong ties, strong ties with whatever returning country is very very important.. Never how much you have.

Please anyone, what's the best way to contact UKVI?

https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk/y/outside-the-uk

i called them yesterday and told about my visa delay ..they told me a decision has been made ..they sent my documents through dhl 10 minutes after the call

NOTE . you will charged from your credit or debit card once the call connects to a spokesman..so get ready to have a valid card by your side because the voice prompt before the call will ask for it (card numbers including Security no)..

Finally the mystery has been revealed! Since I got to Deustschland in September I observed that it looks as if the time was faster than normal. I was practically struggling to keep up, especially in the mornings. I didn't want to say the time was faster so I don't sound naive, so I just kept it to myself. LOL!
But today by 3:00Am the Daylight saving time ended and the clock in Germany was turned backward one hour, marking the end of Summer time and ushering in Winter time, which is the normal time. So we are on the same time with Nigeria now, GMT+1.
Hey Guys in Deutschland check your time, if your clock doesn't reset automatically please reset manually.
Finally I can sleep longer now. cool

True!!!! .... My phone nd laptop reset automatically.. But my electronic alarm clock no reset. I removed the battery nd re inserted.. It's back to Nigerian time smiley

Dear brothers and sisters,

I need your help!!! My school will be starting their orientation week by Friday this week and I have since applied and done my visa interview. When I contacted the embassy in Nigeria as regards my visa status, they replied me 5 days ago that they have sent my information to the relevant authorities in Germany and they are awaiting their response.

This is 5 days now... What do I do? By the way my school is located in Gottigen, Lower Saxony.
Do I contact the German office If yes, can anyone help me with a contact information I used google but couldn't get anything, may be I'm using the wrong words.

2) this issue of travel insurance how do I get it just in case I am eventually given the visa

Thank you all... Make una help una brother ooo, the guy confuse at this point?

I just got a bike today at an auction market. 85 euros. I think you will need the bike more in winter, because it may be quite inconvenient walking long distances in the cold, it will take you longer time and meaning more exposure to cold. # Just my thought, never seen winter before

Many of my class mates don buy bicycle sef.. I go arrange one after I don pay my residence permit fees.. Hopefully I get a cheap one.

From the tram to my department na some serious walking distance no wonder why my class mates arrange bike sharpish. Can't carry last

Dnt buy colorful shoes,go for Nike,dy aint too elaborate,go for Boots(like timbaland cost 18K),dress code is a long sleeve shirt(tm levin or curtis) and a sweater(not colorful) and a jeans(not faded jeans o) wit ur shoes nike or boots ,ut swatch wrist watch, neatly combed hair(not porcupine hairstyle o) ,sure body spray or bee attractive body spray and dats abt it,u nid a vry good suit for defence(buy dis in germany)

You are right! 99% of them dress casual as you've stated. Over here you'll do ALOT of walking so buy comfy sneakers. The most common people wear here are Nike Roshe, Converse All Stars, mostly any WARM and LIGHT WEIGHT sneakers.
For boots err.. I saw people were sneakers far more than boots.
Lol don't wear Italian shoes for casuals o grin

I tried getting a winter jacket cos I came wit 1 and itz a lil short, mehn prizes I see eeh. Btw 70 to 100 euros.
Doh I think dat is some kinda exotic store or sometin.
I regretted y I didn't get more @ katangua market. The only disadvantage of getting more Dan 1 or 2 from naija is the weight and space it covers

Oh yes food is err quite cheap tbh..
But Imported stuff like indomie nd some Africa stuff are not really oo.
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by twinkle1(m): 11:21am On Oct 10, 2015
A box of Indomie here.. I mean the smallest size is €12.50...something that is a Lil less than 1500 in naija.. I was so pissed.

Well someone once advised me if you keep converting everything back to naira. U'll be frustrated. Doesn't really work like that.

E.g if you pay for accommodation say €200 that's about 50, 000 naira per month.

Lol even in Germany €200 is on the cheap side for accommodation.. Studentenwerk ish..

BUT in naija 50,000 per month for just one room nd shared everything is relatively expensive.. That's just one of many oh
Conversations don't really help

Disregard if it's been discussed before. Be aware that sharing (downloading or uploading) copyrighted files through peer-to-peer applications (like torrents), etc. in Germany is punishable by the payment of a sizeable amount of fine. You'll receive a warning letter asking you to pay the fine, and if you ignore it, you'll be required to appear in court. If you have a way of hiding your IP address, you may not get caught, but... So torrents especially, careful.

IT IS TRUE OOOOOO.
Many people have told me here in Germany.. Dont try any torrent downloads ooooo.
Police go fine u LIVE!
IF U LIKE BE FORMING JAMES BOND DOING IP MASKING AND STUFF NA OYO YOU DEY O
