She has a good Job over there and i am currently working in one of the Telcoms company in Nigeria with a salary of 350k . A lot of her friends are willing to send invitation letter with offer to offset my bills . I am also capable of picking up my bills . I have only traveled to the UAE and UK before .

I need to replace the information on the hotel I will be staying, I cant get an email confirmation of the one I filled in but have a booking reference number, I feel this is not enough information to prove to the VO that I have a place to stay, hence I want to book in another hotel and get an emailed confirmation of my booking and then update the information in my application with the new hotel address. How do I go about sorting this issue out without rendering my application invalid and changing my appointment date which is for ending of Aug.

I intend to visit the US in Jan 2015 for a deserved vacation. I'm a Custom Clothier. I have been in business since 2006. I have been in this particular business since 2009. I'm in my late 20's single never married, no baby Momma so obviously no kid. I run a personal and corporate account. I have receipts for levies i have paid to various government agencies since i started operation i.e. trade payment, local govt levy, signage levy etc. I tend to use my personal account more often. I have a 3 landed property but only one of them has a C of O. I run 2 shops. My monthly turn over combined is between 600-900k. I have 10 workers in all. I have some other incomes from my other business that usually comes in lump sum every once in a while. I have only traveled to Ghana for a day and Cotonou for also a day but I may be visiting Dubai later this year. I don't have much of travel experience or free time due to the nature of my business I have to work all year round . All my staffs go on 2 weeks break every first 2 weeks of the year so I intend to join them this time around. I will like to Visit NY, Hawaii and Washington during our next break which is Jan 2015. I intend to sponsor myself. Please what are my chances of getting a VISA ? Should I apply as a tourist or have a family or friend invite me? I personally will prefer to apply as a tourist. Largeabbey: Arguably this is the best thread I have ever bumped into in my entire life even I employed some of the tactics and hints I read on here and was still denied a U.S visa in 2011. How time flies cause its almost three years since I applied and I have decided to reapply again. I think I answered all the questions I was asked in 2011 correctly but lost the visa when the VO knew that I was single even though its apparent on my passport that I have left the shores of Nigeria. I am big and better than I was in 2011 because I have not only resigned my then job but now have a company of my own with a lovely wife and two lovely kids. I am writing on here to ask and know what my chances of securing a U.S. visa being a C.E.O who takes home close to 280k after paying my workers salary and the likely questions I should expect while in front of the VO. I have traveled out of Nigeria 5 times, Ghana once and the UK four times and also have a currently running Schengen visa. I look forward to reading from you all. Thanks a bunch.

Ok,tzetzefly from what I can remember from the last interview , filling the space on the ds 160 to where I have travelled, I listed dubia( though I travelled there but misplaced the passport) the vo asked he didn't see the dubia stamp,tried explaining I mispaced the passport,that this a new one...and that was it. That was the first question,and I knew the others where formality.

How far does this go?

LUCAS99: Dear tzetzefly I'm a Nigerian living abroad please do I have to be physically present in Nigeria inorder to renew my F-1 Student visa through the Dropbox Renewal Service program or can I ask my sibling or friend to drop off the application confirmation sheet, passport photos, visa fee receipt, and appropriate forms to one of the DHL facilities in Abuja or Lagos.And when the visa is ready my sibling or sister can collect the passport with the visa attached on my behalf and mail it back to me in the United States.

Do you think my court marriage certificate will be enough for me to show I have a strong tie to my country.

Sacluxpaint: What can one use to show evidence of strong ties as the US interview is only a few minutes. My interview is coming up on the 7th of August and I am 28 years old unemployed. My dad and my 1st cousin that is a US citizen is sponsoring the trip. I recently just concluded my NYSC after studying in the UK?

NB: My cousin is getting married on the 9th of August and we have received the IVs.

What are my chances?

mrbamo: Ok, I got your reply from the post. What do you think about using the documents below to show social ties:

1, Letter from my school showing that my program ends next year.
2, letter from sponsor with copy of certificate of incorporation
3, my bank statement for my savings acct in nigeria and that of china.
4, statement of purpose from me.

Another worry is that the second person whom we are applying together does not have travelling experience, he has been in china for about 1 year and that is all. Do you think this may affect my application?

The issue here is that my cousin(the invitee) is in the US military and he has accepted that he will take charge of all expenses so long as I'm willing to accompany our grandma. I want it to be that I am saying the truth during the interview. Though, I am capable to take charge of my own travelling expenses, but I see this as an opportunity for me not to spend my own money...Pls, what do you think about this.
