Dear fellow SCM Professionals,

Please I am an MSC student of SCM and have the following assignment. However, I have difficulty meeting the deadline due to my work schedule. Therefore if you have materials or know a way to make things easy for me please let me know.

"[b]Manufacturing/service process design is based on a considerable number of different variables and represents, in essence, a number of trade-offs. Depending on the nature of the business, the nature of the product, and the nature of the market place, the chosen process design will obviously be different.

A. By taking as an example an organization or a product from an industry that you are familiar with, critically discuss the main factors that influence the choice of a manufacturing/service process design. (70% of the mark)

B. How do you see the main principles of project management aiding the operations manager/manageress in introducing change to the process/system? (30% of the mark)

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Your answer should not exceed 2,500 words, word-processed (letter size 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 space); scripts that are excessively long (i.e. exceeding the limit by more than 10%) will not be read beyond the point of the word limit. The word limit applies to the main report only, and excludes exhibits, cover page, list of references, etc. The paper should include a cover page (which should give your student number, assignment name, date and number of words, but not your name), table of contents, numbered pages and a list of references. The body text should be fully referenced (Harvard Referencing System), with clear introduction, discussion and conclusion sections. Please note that assignment marks will also be based on aspects such as use of examples, figures, tables, illustrations and statistics that indicate wider/independent reading.

Thanks

Business / Fraudulent Debits On My First Bank Account by uchecho: 4:09pm On Jul 24, 2013
I got 4 debit alerts totalled NGN753,000.00 on my account with FBN this morning.
The narration in each of the debit alert stated the following:
Your acccount no. XXXXXXX has been debited with NGNXXXXXX amount on 24 July -2013 by FBN/B365/INTERNET//GB.
The above debit transaction came 4 times with different amount which gave the above total.
I rushed to the nearest FBN branch this morning and lodged a complain about the fraud. They were telling me that i must have disclosed my mastercard details to someone which I am sure I never did and my card was intact in my wallet as at the time I was making the complain. Now, I have lodged my complain with their firstcontact/head office. They told me that they are going to investigate. Meanwhile, from th printout of my statement of account I noticed that the 4 transactions took place yesterday (value date 23rd July) while I got sms alert today. No email was sent to me as they normally do anytime I use my mastercard for online banking.

Please I need someone to help me on how I can recover my money fast
Career / Re: Logistics Or Supply Chain Management by uchecho: 9:52am On Jun 27, 2013
Thanx man. The truth is that some employers prefer BSc to HND but I believe the MSC will be a good cover. Once again, thank you. You really helped.
Ibro Yaya:

I advice you go straight to MSc Procurement, logistics and Supply Chain Management. Reasons are that with your educational back ground, the Undergraduate program will be of less value to you.Masters programme is design to bring closer to the real field experience, so it will help you directly on your career.

Secondly the MSC program is all encompassing, with Logistics supply chain management and Procurement. Though don't get it twisted, logistics is actually suppply chain management but the inclusion of procurement makes a big difference.

Hope I helped?

uchecho: Interesting topic.

I have been working in an oil & gas company for a little over 3 years as the head of procurement. This is after about 5 years as a buyer in a telecom company.

I have the following academic qualifications, Level 4 Diploma (CIPS), MBA (Management), PGD (Management) HND (Secretarial Studies).

Now I have two admission letters which I want you guys to advise me on the one to go for:

One is BSc (Hons) in Logistics Management (University of Lincoln) and the other is MSc in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (University of Salford, Manchester).

Please which of the two do you think will be better for me?
Please help me make this decision
