Culture / Re: Why Does Govt Allow Oro Festival? by Uchemelvin2004(m): 1:38pm On Jul 24, 2016 |
We are talking about a festival that limits the movement of people in the 21st century, it's really backward in my own opinion. |
Culture / Why Does Govt Allow Oro Festival? by Uchemelvin2004(m): 8:17am On Jul 24, 2016 |
I've been hearing about the Oro festival before I came to serve in Ogun state. For those that don't know, during the festival, women and strangers are not allowed to come outside, you'll be killed if you disobey. A month ago a man was killed at Sango Ota because he came back late and obviously ran into the "Oro" people. I think this tradition should be stopped by government before it is too late. (I wonder what will happen if they kill a soldier during the festival) |

I'm a corper serving in Ogun state and this news is 100% true, even the school principal doesn't know what's happening. Even if they extend it to September I've told the school. I won't be here when they oro festival starts (mid August). |

It's a wonderful experience, I dated one 2 years ago and even though we're no longer together we still bang whenever we see. I think the key thing there is for the girl/boy to be good at it so that the other partner won't get bored. |

I know exactly what you are passing through brother, I was expelled from FUTO in my final year and during that period I contemplated a lot of things like travelling out, suicide, I just couldn't bear the shame of being called a drop out.It was like I was carrying the whole world on my shoulders but on January 1st 2010 I summoned courage and told my family(it's not easy but it's the best thing to do) and it was a bit tough at first but they later supported me and today I've graduated from Uniport and i'm serving in Ogun state. So brother, it's better late than never, just tell them the truth. Goodluck. 4 Likes |

I'm currently serving so i'll talk about my 1st day @ my PPA, I introduced myself to the other corp members and quickly went into the class, as the only science orientated corp member in the school I had to teach both Physics and Chemistry and @ 1st I taught it'll be a big challenge (due to my fear of Chemistry in school) but it was actually very smooth, the school curriculum and the textbook(essential chemistry) made it really easy, though the students are not the sharpest but the few bright ones amongst them quickly showed themselves by answering all the questions I threw their way. All in all it was a brilliant experience and I also learnt a lot too. PS: I'm serving @ Community high school Ohunbe in Yewa North LGA Ogun state( very close to the border with Republic of Benin). 32 Likes

We all need to be careful because here in Naija, once police catch you as a suspect you are already in big trouble. |
Crime / New Trick Kidnappers Use To Implicate Innocent People by Uchemelvin2004(m): 5:24am On Jul 08, 2015 |
This is to inform you that there is a new technique being used by robbers and other criminals to escape arrest. I was just alerted by a friend that robbers are now collecting used recharge cards, and once they abandon hijacked cars or where they dump the dead bodies, they leave the already used cards at the scene or near the victims. When the police arrive, they use the scratch card's serial number to track on which phone number it was loaded; and they start tracking the owner of the phone number. Already, two people who fell victim of the trick are in Kirikiri. To be on the safe side, once you load airtime, make sure you destroy the card before you dispose it to avoid access of these undesirable elements. Kindly circulate for the safety of your loved ones. Be cautious!. 1 Like 1 Share |
