Yorkshire is a big county with only one well popular city..Leeds. Leeds is like London of Yorkshire and more developed than other cities around.

Second to Leeds is Bradford which is about 20mins away by train and 45mins by bus, Bradford used to be an industrial city mainly textile and museums and affordable to live though more populated by Asians and recently Eastern Europeans.

Then you have Hull, Hull is arguably the poorest city but with a very good university and an average football club.

Then you have cities like Wakefield, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Sheffield is developed as well with one very good university and another not-so-good university and two football clubs.

North Yorkshire is more quiet with one of the best universities located in York and in North Yorkshire you have a lot of tourist attractions like National park, Yorkshire dales etc

If you are family oriented then North Yorkshire is for you else head to Leeds and Leeds is just 45mins away from Manchester which is a mega city
Pls can I get an overview like this too about Nottingham? God bless

Currently awaiting COs for June by God's grace but I want to begin filling the online form now in order to avoid rush hours and need for priority as the money go dey too much for my neck.
question 1. What should be my answer for 'are you travelling with anyone' on my dependents form. Since I already yes and listed the 3 of them on main applicant form. Do I need to repeat the listing for everyone cos we will all be traveling together.
2. Response to 'how long do you intend to stay in the UK' .my contract is for 1 yr and am applying for upto 3yrs eventhou I planned to stay eternally there grin
Lemme stop here for now.

Whao! Quite an informative thread. Can't believe I read the whole 23 pages and also jotted down notes like someone reading a bulky handout for incourse exam. Well I must confess I have really learnt a lot from this thread. Thanks to fatima04 for creating this topic and for all who have contributed ( justwise, incredible, mamatukwas,Geerix, suntelk) etc kudos to you. Permit me all to learn more from your wealth of experience by asking my queries concerning this obodo UK journey as am already enroute and will need your direction.
