Good morning All

Please if anyone gets information on a 2 or 1 bedroom flat for rent available to families, and (not a shared space, multiple occupancy ) within south-east London for below £1000 (unfurnished or otherwise)
Kindly let me know please

Put feelers our in your local church/mosque (if you go to one). There would be people who need this type of roles (currently unemployed) who can do this.

Thank you I will

Someone who is patience , and diligent and can take care of a baby during working hours 8-6 or 8:30 to 6, 3 days in a week starting end of October

When you factor in, childminders tax, £24K wage & other cost of living........ It's clear like 7up ......

If I was advising her, sit on the government, till she gets her council property....... Then cross other bridges accordingly.......

Yes, she has one, Under 3

Lexusgs430:

This is very simple...... Once she takes the job offer, she is no longer classed as a government pickin......

Her benefits stops + her housing benefit stops(she would join the hustle, like we fellow hustlers on the street).......😁

She would love the 12 months of earning her own money (but she would very quickly realise that, the cost of housing, no be beans) + other related cost of living expenses.....

What happens to her after 12 months..... This is the koko....... 😊

Once she leaves that temporary accommodation, she returns to the back of the queue...... 👌

Does she have a child or classed as a vulnerable person......

Good evening elders , my cousin needs urgent advice
She got a job offer of net £2400 but fixed contract of 12months full time work
Unfortunately she is housed by council (temporary accommodation)
I have done the maths with her, if she takes the job her universal credit will be Nil/zero and it will definitely affect her housing benefit.
Given the high cost of renting in London , what’s the best way forward? Is anyone working full time while undergoing housing crisis? Did they ask you to leave your temporary accommodation or start paying the rent? How did you manage? Will she still be eligible for permanent housing ? Any advice

For those in the system, please is an 18 months FTC full time job, worth giving up one’s govt housing benefit and would taking up the role trigger a move notice from council/letting agency?

Happy new year everyone… does anyone live around burnt oak and Edgware. For me , this area is a bit off. Coming from south east London that feels like Lagos. How does a lady get a hand of things in this north. Na only Asians full everywhere.
No random Nigerian restaurant, salon, social gathering like they do in Peckham or Woolwich , children playground and groups, even black dominated Catholic Church, I miss south east oh🥲. How Nigerians in north London Dey take do things? Who get better lash technician contact or ofsted childminder way Dey affordable?

I am currently on their standard variable and E Dey vary like witch. Lol. I can’t switch supplier due to the building policy. So I am trying to get the best I can with British Gas . The meter reading thus far has been high.

Good afternoon Elders,

I have been reading and learning from thread 1. Now @3, I will appreciate some help. please my questions are thus:
I am moving from SE to North London , Barnet and Edgware environment.

Please, is there a setting similar to Peckham in north? Where I can shop our food fresh and network. And are there any cost saving tips . Na cost make me move , but I will love to save more in the northern part of London if anyone knows the best broadband, electricity and others . Also, the African nanny helpers in Woolwich and Peckham, do they have such setting in the north. I need help with baby when working. Thanks .
