Wyclef Jean, an award winning American singer has disclosed that the forth of his song his new upcoming album [Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee] is tiltled “Fela Kuti”.

You might wonder what a Nigerian Music Legend has in common with Wyclef, well thats away from the fact that both are into music of course. -Well, Wyclef put some similarities together, he said;

‘Fela Kuti studied jazz in England. Wyclef studied jazz at Vailsburg High School. Fela Kuti then went back to his country and tried to help his country by running for president. Wyclef, you know, did the same thing.’

‘Fela Kuti’ was produced by Supah Mario, with Wyclef deciding to work with the producer after hearing his work on Young Thug‘s song, ‘Wyclef Jean.’

The artist revealed his reason for naming the song “Fela Kuti”. He stated;

‘I decided to name it Fela Kuti because for me, I feel like we be thinking of [Bob] Marley, we give a lot of people from our past props, so when the kids hear Fela Kuti, I really want them to Google it.’

He added, ‘For me, the same way kids can have songs called ‘Wyclef Jean’ who are influenced by me, I want kids to know who Fela is and what he means.’

Young Tunisian women are now having hymen reconstruction surgery to avoid being sent back to their parents after their wedding due to the pressure exerted on them by the society to keep their virginity till marriage.

According to BBC, young Tunisian women are turning to a short procedure that promises to reconstruct her virginity surgically.

The procedure is said to cost a small fortune and the women save up for months to get the procedure.

One woman who has jumped on the proverbial bandwagon is 28-year-old woman Yasmine who lost her virginity while living abroad but is now scared that her husband will find out she is not a virgin after they get married.

BBC reporter Sihem Hassaini who accompanied Yasmine to the clinic for the procedure was shocked to discover a good number of women waiting for the 30-minute procedure to reconstruct their hymen.

According to Rashid, the doctor to carry out the surgery on Yasmine, most of his young patients are driven by the fear of bringing shame to their family and relatives when discovered they are not virgins.

He added that though many doctors refuse to do the surgery, he does it because he disagrees with those who make virginity a prerequisite.

The annoyed doctor blamed the male-dominated society for this cruelty towards women folk. “I mean it when I say its male dominance and I’ll continue to wage an all-out war against it,” he said.

Tunisia is regarded as a leader in women’s rights in North Africa but religion and tradition dictate that young women have to remain virgins until they are married.

Fire Fighters at the Chelsea Fire station were surprised as they had No idea Grammy Award winning Singer, Adele would be knocking on their Window with breakfast.

Adele, stopped by the station to appreciate the members of the London Fire Brigade who handled last week’s deadly Grenfell Tower blaze with such Bravery and who are still working at the scene.

The station manager Ben King said in an LFB press release “She just turned up at the station and knocked on the window and said she has some cakes for us,”.

“So we opened the door to her and then she took her sunglasses off and said: ‘Hi, I’m Adele,'” he recalled. “Everyone was so shocked.”

Adele also joined them in a meal of Tea and cakes at the mess hall. The singer also observed a special memorial moment in honor of the 79 people presumed dead in the fire.

“She came in, came up to the mess and had a cup of tea with the watch and then she joined us for the minute’s silence,” King said.

An eight year orphaned boy identified as Friday Paul is currently battling for his life, at a private hospital in Odgunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos when his Uncle drove a 3-inch nail inside his head.

Friday and his uncle live in a room apartment at 6 Anjorin street, Odgunyan, Ikorodu. He was taken in by his uncle after the demise of his parents two years back. He dropped out of school after the death of his parents.

According to some Neighbours, they confirmed that the 8-year old orphan was constantly assaulted by his uncle until this day when he did the unthinkable.

He was said to have being accused by the uncle over the weekend of stealing N500 kept in the room by but the child denied it and the uncle refused to believe him and his way fo punishment was to drive a 3-inch nail into his head.

His Uncle was reported to have driven him to an undisclosed apartment, tortured him and eventually drove a 3 inch inside his skull that almost killed him.

The child’s cry attracted neighbours who ran to him and rushed him to the hospital while his uncle ran away. The child was initially rejected at the first hospital due to lack of funds, before he was admitted at ‘The Saviour the Rock hospital’, Odunla Road, Odgunyan.

The neighbours searched the uncle out, got hold of him and handed over to the police at Sagamu Road Division,

The child is on admission in the hospital, constantly in pain following the removal of the nail from his skull.

A neighbour “said if not for the quick arrival of the Police, the said uncle would have been lynched.

Janelle Edwards was just another young woman with the thirst for a curvier figure. It was a shame that her thirst led to her untimely death. The 25 year old New Yorker died on Thursday as a result of injuries sustained during the procedure which was performed in the Dominican Republic.

The official cause of death according to autopsy reports was given as a blood clot which was allegedly caused by a series of procedures performed in Santo Domingo, tummy tuck, breast augmentation and butt implants.



The procedure was carried out nearly a month ago but she has been suffering from complications since returning to the US. The complications aggravated last Thursday and she passed away on the same day.

Janelle had two kids, a one year old and seven year old, both girls. May her soul rest in peace.

Limpopo Police have launched a massive manhunt, after a woman’s body was found mutilated at the Maungani Village just outside Thohoyandou this weekend.

The deceased has not been identified yet, but the South African police believe that she was in her twenties. Her body was discovered in local bushes by a passer-by.

Leading investigation and haunt for the person or persons responsible for the horrific crime is the Deputy Provincial Commissioner of Detectives, Major General Bafana Linda, the commissioner believes more than one person is responsible as it appears to be a ritual killing related from the presentation of the body found

“The motive behind this incident is suspected to be related to a ritual killing however police investigations are continuing,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

“No arrest have been made as yet and anyone who can assist in the identification of the deceased and who can assist in the information about the suspects involved in this matter, is requested to contact Brigadier James Espach at 0825760743 or the nearest Police Station or to contact Thohoyandou Police Station, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or SMS detailed information to Crime Line at 32211,” added Ngoepe.

The DPA has just intercepted an attempt to bury the case of a 5 year old girl who was raped in her kindergarten school in Awka, Anambra state.

DPA, Yesterday, got involved in the investigation of a rape case involving a 5 year old girl. It was reported that the father of the girl received a N100,000 from a representative of the kindergarten the victim attended, where the sad incident occurred.

A Nigerian lawyer, Emeka Ugwonye, in a post on Facebook said: “DPA has just stopped an attempt to bury the case of the rape of a 5-year old girl in kindergarten in Awka, Anambra State….

Yesterday, DPA got involved in the investigation of a rape case involving a 5-year old girl. We got the wind that the father of the girl was offered 100k by the owners of the kindergarten where the incident occurred in order for him to bury the case. I warned the man not to accept the money, but to work with DPA to ensure the arrest of the rapist.

At the same time, DPA dispatched a team of investigators to the crime scene. Our investigators swooped in on them as they were exchanging money to cover up the case. They even wrote up an agreement to close the case . DPA operatives took pictures of their illegal agreement and pictures of them exchanging money.

We shall now be seeking the arrest and prosecution of all those involved in this macabre deal. We have the picture of the girl and her father and the owner of the kindergarten handing over money to him.

DPA is going to crack down on all those who harm innocent children in this country. The rape of a 5- year old and the use of money to cover it up are crimes we must fight against. I will be heading from Abuja straight to Anambra State where I intend to meet with the Governor over this case..”

I will want to start by saying that I really do not discuss certain issues, especially when they have to do with things of this nature involving Pastors as I am always extremely careful not to fall out of line, secondly as a married family man too, I try to be very very careful not to get so deep into issues like this as apart from what is presented in the open as physical evidence, there might definitely be some hidden truths and realities buried between the circle of the husband and wife.

However, on this particular case involving Ambassador Nsikanabasi of Kairos Ministries and his estranged wife or ex-wife pending when the court comes up with the divorce approval ,I really want to bring certain things to the table and to clear the air on some as far as I know.

I happen to write this piece because I have been carefully following up on this marriage Issue for a reasonable period of time now and have had the priviledge of sitting down severally with Ambassador Nsikanabasi to find out certain things that possibly led to this divorce saga .

In all those occasions, Ambassador Nsikanabasi had always maintained that He knew his wife through the Elder brother, Mr Cletus ukpong and got married to her on 30th September 2012.

He pointed out that it was at their wedding reception that his wife made a statement while they sat together saying ” They said I wasn’t going to marry, thank God today am MARRIED AGAIN ” this comment moved him to ask her what she meant by “BEING MARRIED AGAIN “ which she immediately dismissed as a slip of tongue, little did he know that of the truth that he was her second husband.



Yet again, contrary to the numerous misleading stories, the ex-wife has told Nigerians that one Prophet Moses stood in as the Husband ‘s father during the marriage rites is not in anyway true , as the pastor says he doesn’t know anyone by that name, let alone such a person standing in as his parent. He insists it was his own Uncle, Chief Asuquo Ese Okpo that stood in for his late Father.

Ambassador Nsikak has also revealed his ex-wife’s lies concerning her educational attainments. He said that the wife told him she holds a Masters degree from the University of Uyo in ENGLISH LANGUAGE and had served in Abakiliki, EBONYI STATE during her NYSC, only for him to later realise this was false as she never even graduated with a first degree let alone a Masters degree.

When asked to bring her CV for him to assist her get a lecturing job in the same University she claimed to have graduated from, it was a massive show of shame as she could not produce any document to substantiate her claims.

Further More, I also gathered reliably that, the said wife’s international passport carries 22nd December 1977 as her date of birth, but she had told the pastor she was born on December 22, 1981(two conflicting years)

This is shocking since the pastor (her husband) was born on 28th August,1982. The actual reality here however, is that her younger brother, Enobong Ukpong was born in 1977, and she could not have been of the same age with the younger brother especially since they are not twins.

Also of the truth, without the knowledge of the pastor till later into the marriage crisis, the said Idongesit Ukpong was married before to one MR ANIETIE SAMUEL and was never legally divorced but she absconded from the marriage to Equitoral Guinea to stay with some extended family members as the result of her mother’s second marriage and relocation to the said country.

It was here in Equitoral Guinea that Idongesit Ukpong had a baby girl, left the baby there and came back to Nigeria. After Ambassador Nsikanabasi had concluded her marriage rites in 2012,she then proceeded to bring back the now one year old baby girl back which she and Nsikanabasi went together to pick up at the Port Harcourt Airport. moreso, when Nsikanabasi asked her about the Parents of the baby she lied that the baby was that of her Equitoral Guinea based little step sister by name MARTINA,which later turned out to be a lie as of the truth the baby was her (Idongesit Ukpong) baby.

On the case of Evelyn Etim whom she accused the pastor of having a sexual affair with happens not to be the case as the said girl only went to meet Ambassador Nsikanabasi at a hotel sit out in the company of other friends of the pastor to complain about the emotional trauma the pastor’s wife had caused her by giving her fiancee a false information by saying she was dating the pastor when she actually never had any such relationship with the Pastor.

This then lead to Evelyn Etim loosing out of the relationship. It was during her time there at the hotel in the presence of other people present with Nsikanabasi that the estranged wife came in and without any notice attacked and beat up the girl but for the timely intervention of the hotel owner and members of staff outside where they sat.

AKURE: Two teachers identified as Blessing Omowera and Sola Kalejaye have been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly using human parts for ritual purpose.

The police reported that the two suspect allegedly collect the fingernails and blood of the pupils of Heritage Nursery and Primary School, Ondo town, Ondo State.

The two suspect were arrested when one of the pupils got home and informed her father of what the teacher did to her in the school, and the parents immediately reported the matter at the Ondo Area Command, Ondo.

It was gathered that Omowera works at the nursery and primary school, whie Kalejaye is said to be a teacher in a secondary in the town.

Mr. Femi Joseph, the Police Public Relation Officer for the state police command, disclosed that Omowera called the two pupils under the pretence of cleaning their nails by cutting their fingernails.
