Phones / How To Save Pictures Or Videos On Whatsapp Status by Usedweb(m): 9:47pm On Nov 08, 2017 |
Thanks to the latest Whatsapp update, now you can post status inform of pictures or videos and they will disappear in 24hrs. A lot of us like other peoples statuses and don’t really want to chat them up, or when requested to be sent to us they don’t respond, yes some of us screen shot the images, then crop but how about the videos?. This may sound simple but a lot of us don’t know. When status are updated, once you view them there are stored in a folder for 24hrs before they disappear. In that folder you can access them and save them on your device. Below are the steps on how to save whatsapp Status Locate File Manager on your Phone Go To All Files Locate the Whatsapp folder Click on Media folder Then Click Statuses Then you will see all the pictures and videos you have viewed in the last 24 hours. HOW to save? Follow the link below http://techieslog.com/index.php/2017/11/08/how-to-save-pictures-or-videos-on-whatsapp-status/ Hope this makes sense to many people. Nairaland / General / China Blocks Whatsapp: See Why by Usedweb(m): 7:48am On Sep 26, 2017 |
China has blocked WhatsApp, security experts confirmed today that Over the past few months, WhatsApp has experienced brief disruptions to service, with users unable to send video chats or photos. Now, even text messages are completely blocked, according to Nadim Kobeissi, an applied cryptographer at Symbolic Software, a Paris-based research firm that also monitors digital censorship in China. Essentially, it seems that what we initially monitored as censorship of WhatsApp’s photo, video and voice note sharing capabilities in July has now evolved to what appears to be consistent text messaging blocking and throttling across China, Kobeissi said. Kobeissi found that China may have recently upgraded its firewall to detect and block the NoiseSocket protocal that WhatsApp uses to send texts, in addition to already blocking the HTTPS/TLS that WhatsApp uses to send photos and videos. He said, “I think it took time for the Chinese firewall to adapt to this new protocol so that it could also target text messages.” His company noticed the app disruptions beginning last Wednesday. The move is a blow to Facebook, which has been banned in China since 2009 and owns WhatsApp. With the blocking of WhatsApp, Facebook’s only remaining stake in China is the Colorful Balloons app that it stealthily released last month. The heightened censorship coincides with the upcoming 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. WhatsApp may have been a target because the app offers end-to-end encryption, which keeps users’ messages private. In contrast, other domestic Chinese apps like WeChat provide all users’ personal data to the Chinese government. WeChat, which already has 963 million active users, stands to benefit from one of its last foreign competitors being pushed out of the market. WhatsApp refused to comment. Phones / How To Tell If Someone Read Your Email In Gmail by Usedweb(m): 10:39am On Aug 26, 2017 |
You send out an important email, expecting to hear back quickly. But…time passes, and nothing. After a while, you start to wonder whether your recipient ever read the email? This will show you how to know. The free version of Gmail does not include the return receipt feature. The feature is, however, available through GSuite. To use the return receipt feature in GSuite Gmail, you first must enable it. To activate the return receipt feature, go the your GSuite Admin Console. Select Apps > GSuite > Settings for Gmail > Advanced settings. The Advanced Settings screen displays. Use the scroll bar on the right of the screen to scroll down to the Email Read Receipts option: Click the toggle button to the left of Allow email read receipts to be sent to all addresses in my organization as well as the following email addresses. When this option is turned on, users in your organization can request and return email receipts. Note: If you’re not the administrator of your GSuite, you’ll not be able to turn this feature on yourself. Ask your GSuite administrator to turn it on for you. Once the Read Receipt capability is activated, simply type your email as usual. When you’ve finished, click the down arrow in the lower right corner to display a popup menu: Click the Request read receipt option from the popup menu. When you’re ready, click the Send button to send your email as usual. Below are the Gsuite and Gmail screen shots.
