Thugs are said to be causing rampage in Ekiti after the assassination of former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ekiti State, Mr. Omolafe Aderiye .

They are said to be rampaging APC offices including the party's state secretariat .The outgoing governor Kayode Fayemi's situation office has also been reportedly burnt .

Mr. Aderiye, a staunch supporter of Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose was part of Mr. Fayose’s team that attacked a state high court judge earlier in the day.The alleged thugs attacked Justice John Adeyeye, beating him up and ripping his clothes for being allegedly rude to Fayose. Fayose, first slapped the judge and then ordered his thugs to beat him further

A man believed to be the tallest on the planet at 8ft 4 inches has died aged 44. Leonid Stadnyk, who was said to be too shy to measured for the Guinness World record books, was 21 inches taller than lanky England footballer Peter Crouch.

The peasant farmer, from the Ukrainian village of Podoliantsy, died yesterday from a brain haemorrhage after health problems.
Of his size, Leonid had said: “To me, my height is a curse, a punishment from God, not something to celebrate. What sin I have committed, I do not know. All my life I have dreamed of being just like everyone else. “
He added: “I don’t want or need the fame that this would bring so I have no desire to be in this Guinness book.”
He was scared to commit to women “because I don’t want to inflict my problems on a wife. I think it would not be fair on her”, he said.

54 year old Valdelucio Goncalves (pictured above) was found alive inside a body bag after doctors declared him dead. His grieving younger brother got the shock of his life after he found Valdelucio 'wriggling around' inside a zipped-up body bag in a morgue in Brazil.

Doctors claimed the man had suffered "respiratory and multiple organ failure" and declared him dead a few hours after his family took him to the hospital on Saturday August 23rd. His family then took what they believed was his corpse to the morgue inside the Menandro de Farias General Hospital in Salvador, northeast Brazil.

Going for the gold! Television's biggest stars hit the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, Aug. 25 for the 2014 Emmy Awards, competing for the major TV honor.

The nominations for the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards were led by HBO's Game of Thrones, which received 19 nominations, including nods for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Peter Dinklage.

Ever since she turned 18, which was back in 2011, Amge has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the World’s Smallest Woman. Before that, she was the World’s Smallest Teenager.
