the chairman is an indigene na
Jerryherd:

I really pity the Gbagyi people of Abuja and other middle belt Indegeneous tribe of Abuja

Already Labour Party took their Only Senatorial district Ticket for a non Indegene Southerner

Imagine as an indegene you have land dispute or other dispute regarding Government representation, if they go to report at the LGA.. they meet Hausa, if they go to meet FCT Minister they meet Fulani, if they go to meet their Senator its a Yoruba woman they meet, if they go to meet the Market leaders they meet Igbos

Using principle of Federal Character system and Qouta system, every Gbagyi indegene would get shortchanged during Federal Government recruitment when they can't even have an indegene to approve their employment slot at the LGA

Which 20M

Acidosis:
If that includes production cost, then it is very very cheap.

To start with, if you don't have a yearly subscription fee of about 500 million, you can't have your HD tv channel listed on DStv.

It cost around N20m for Channels television or AIT to send their crew to your political campaign or programme of any kind and broadcast your event live for just 1 HOUR. Lol.

Note, Channels tv don't broadcast HD. In fact, no local based tv channel in Nigeria broadcast HD on DSTV. They can't afford it.

All that AIT or Channels tv would do for N20m is to send few crew members of maybe 2 cameramen, 1 driver, and 1 journalist.

Now compare Channels tv with BBN House of more than 40 high definition (HD) cameras and high powered microphone/sound system, 24/7 uninterrupted lighting and electricity system for 3 months, all going live 24/7.

Politics / TRADER MONI: Plea To Hon Minister Of Information And Culture Alh Lai Mohammed by VaalCee(m): 2:01pm On Aug 10, 2020
Good afternoon Nairalanders,

I created this thread in an effort to make the awareness go viral. It is in respect to the kindness shown to selected beneficiaries of Trader Moni about two years ago, who became known as its Ambassadors. It became heightened that faces and videos coverage of these Ambassadors became used as means for the Presidential Election campaign. Gladly, all were due recipients of the what the adverts claimed. Thus not a scam.
Prior to the election, these Ambassadors were hosted live on Television for Testimony of Change in Aso Rock, Abuja.
The most attention was A WIDOW who benefited from the goodness and shared Testimony of how she has struggled to train 3 graduates through the University from frying bean cake alias Akara.
To the audience and all who had seen banners and video excerpts from her interview nationwide, she had done noble.
During her share of testimony, the aged widow had pleaded with relevant authorities who had picked her to be privilege to stand in their midst, to enable her children become gainfully employed and engaged in order to further ease the burden that has been on her for many years. In affirmation, few weeks after the event, she had received throngs of Journalists and calls nationwide coming to know the prowess with which she had raised three graduates with menial petty business.
However, the highlight and expectations had been on Government respond, rescue and salvage to the widow's plight which is a consideration for her children to receive gainful employment by the government whose duty and political will it lies on to do so.

Here's a link to a media house publication on an exclusive interview granted to the Widow and Ambassador of Trader Moni

But the most interesting thing is that, a few minutes before they bite the dust, a cloud of "regret/I wish" would envelope them, it would have been too late to mend.

May we not be in a situation that would make us regret throwing caution to the wind.

Crime / Re: Robbers Attack Plateau POS Shop, 4 Customers Shot by VaalCee(m): 9:16am On Jun 15, 2020
The Mangu Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mr Yusuf Balami, confirmed the incident, saying: “It is true that armed robbers attacked the PoS shop and carted away some undisclosed amount of money leaving behind four wounded persons.”

He said that when the distress call came to his office, he immediately mobilised his men in Mangu town and headed to Panyam, but that “before we could arrive, the robbers had finished their operations and left”.

They are never quick to respond to crime distress call but if there's lynching of thieves they will come early for rescue saying No to Jungle Justice.
God help the average Nigerian.

Murder was the targeted crime, women are driving to think it's just rape because it was committed by men most likely. Whereas male or female could be the principal organizer of such evil act. #justiceforuwa

Why do they spend a lot trying to impress the Public via mass media when they can do a lot to improve lives and mass eradication of poverty from the land.
To what end is this video?
Am impressed but does that satisfy the curiosity of the average Nigerian on where next to go and how well to do about it?
Politics / Re: Sanwo-olu Commissions 264 Units Of Flats In Lekki by VaalCee(m): 11:53am On May 29, 2020
We do not run a Capitalist economy where Political will overrides and determines every other sectors? Nigeria is more of mixed economy largely delving into Socialism
obailala:

There's something called the 'middle class', we need decent houses too.

We need to rid ourselves of all these communist/welfarist ideologies where we expect the government to do everything for the poor. The poor arent the only ones in society.

We run a capitalist society; if the government caters for the needs of the middle class, the poor will automatically be taken care of. But if the government jumps the middle class to go give free welfare to the poor, it creates a major imbalance and crisis in society.

Everybody needs housing, both rich, middle class and poor. The rich may not need this type of help, but there's millions of people who fall in the Nigerian middle class category (e.g. people earning anywhere between N1-10m per annum). Although this group may seem to live relatively comfortably, they may never be able to own houses of their own in expensive places like Lagos till retirement.

When govt sets up housing schemes like this which the mid class can afford, the money paid by the mid-class would create funds for the govt to devolop more houses like these. When more mid-class families move away from their previously rented apartments to new estates like these, the vacant apartments will then be filled by families lower in the economic ladder who probably lived previously in face-me-I-face-you compounds. And of course the extremely poor living under bridges may be able to upgrade to face me i face you houses. In this model, everyone's taken along.

obailala:

Common men arent the only ones in Nigeria; mid and upper mid class need things like this too.

Who has housing as his or her basic need? The Poor or the rest classes you mentioned? Housing is a basic need for the Poor. The rich do not need this from the government, there's hierarchy of needs such as that of Abraham Maslow
