I could not believe my ears yesterday.n I was in a friends office when he received the notice to pay one of the state levies, i think Infrastructure Levy or so, and some other person in the office commented that the levy was contracted to the Ararumes of Imo state as a compensation for marrying her daughter. can u imagine that? i hope its not true. but the guy was speaking with conviction.

That implies that if religion fail, God has failed. Of course, different religious organizations and their leaders claim to be the the custodians of God. But the fact is, with or without religion, God will still be God.

Hey guys, u don't have to deny the reality of God because of the imperfection of religion. The concept God transcends religion. Religion can never be the yardstick to measure God. God has been relating with mankind before the advent of religion. Before Judaism, Christianity, Islam etc. Though I'm a Christian, I do not base my belief on the existence of God on christian doctrines. My conviction on the existence of an Almighty Creator is based on what I see.. The order which i see in creation. From the protons, neutrons and electrons, to the atoms and elements that combine to form different compounds. The compounds that combine in vast sequence of arrays to form the RNA and DNA, which in turn combine to form a complete organism. Don't tell me all these things happen by chance without the mastermind of a being who is able to control and maintain balance in the processes. And this being has stipulated rules and regulations that will maintain His creation. To deny His existence does not seem logical.

Today is Lovers Day- a day set aside to celebrate love. Wait a minute.... How many of us really understand what this word "love" is really all about. I'll tell you.

I'd like to first of all take your mind back to the beginning when love first started in our world- the garden of Eden in Genesis chapter one. We can see God creating Adam, the first man. And though it was said that everything God created was good, but it was not good for man to live alone without a helper. So, when Eve arrived, the man was overfilled with joy and he expressed this joy when he identified with Eve and called her woman. Now he can have someone to talk with, share with, smile with, cry with..... infact, live and die with. That is simply what love is all about- finding someone you can call your own.

You know, in a world of over 7 billion people, everybody minds his own business. Nobody cares if you live or die as long as you don,t cause them any discomfort. Yes. Nobody cares about you. Everyone cares about his or herself. If you doubt me, try borrowing as small as five dollars from someone you know. Of course, they need it or themselves. But love comes in when you find someone that cares about you- your wellbeing and happiness.

When you find that person, then you can celebrate love.....
