Sorry, I thought I was conversing with a normal human being.

I thought silence was golden for what you are

To validate my earlier claim and to keep to promise of uploading pic to clear ignorance, this is a picture of a parent plantain plant of 1yr 3months. Zoom the pic and count the suckers it has. Besides, I transferred 2suckers for expansion, should I transfer more two and at maturity if one sucker is giving an outshoot of 6-7 suckers, isn't possible having "30" plantains from one under "3" years?

Again, this plantain produces two heads on one parent plant

Practical farm comes with experience and that's the best teacher, one thing that the knowledge on net doesn't guide accurately is farm

Front and back

It takes about 9-12 months for an average plantain sucker to fruit and mature.

A plantain sucker(not all) has to reach about 5-6 months before bringing out another sucker.

There's no way a plant can bring 30 suckers in 3 years. If it's possible, all plantain farmers would become billionaires. The maximum suckers you can get from a parent plant in 3 years can't be more 5.

I planted about 100 seedlings and 70 suckers November last year. As you can see, most are without suckers yet. I have suckers coming up from few though.

Una go just dey depend on wetin internet talk for knowledge.

Farm is not done on net, it's practical. A farmer doesn't surf internet for pictures to make a point. I will upload a picture of my plantation on Saturday.

I no dey argue with you. I planted 500 suckers last year, and I'm transplanting to the next farm from the old

Plantain is not tree, there's no woody stem. It's more of fruit or herb.

That's impossible.

I have transferred 4 suckers from a harvested parent plant which was planted early April last year and about 4 remaining with visible outshoots coming out.

In three years, one sucker can give more than 30

I didn't want to reply until I get to farm on sat for pic. evidence. Lost my phone, so I lost my pictures

I didn't mention 1 year in my Statement.
I know he said 2 years or close to 3 if we are being generous.
Even though with suckers, i.e small/growing trees counted, how is it still 30?
Na so e dey grow so quickly? Na so e dey spread?
Or breeze dey carry am so easily?

In 3years, a sucker can give 30. Na so e dey take spread

I get that 4 to 5 trees is possible, but how is 30??
How?

Under 1yr, not possible. I had 12 suckers round the parent plant but they didnt grow at same pace.

Now that depends on when he returned which wasn't specified. If he returned to that piece of land three years, that's possible but the count will include both parent plants and suckers not just parent plants as "trees" in his statement suggests

30 trees? 1 to 30, different individual trees in one year

The regeneration of plantain is amazing. That's possible, but without care, he'd lose them all

Agriculture / How Lucrative Is Sweet Potato Farming. by Veggieseeddies: 9:02pm On Aug 08
Hello everyone, in this thread I'm going to show how to plant sweet potatoes.

If you'd follow me, I'm going to show practically how lucrative sweet potatoes farming has become, this is not going to be a theory based analysis but practical as I'm going to keep updating on the development of the sprouts from planting, up until harvest begins
