I have been away for a while attending to some very important issues...though I still visit and comment on NL, I honestly did not have the necessary time to forecast games. Hence the apparent lull in the thread. But let us put some of our luck to good use. Today, I want to see how far I can go using the total roll over system. I am starting with a small Bank of 300Naira only. Na try I wan try oooo. I'm going to hedge all the bets, i.e I'll place at the market that is less than the forecasted position; e.g a game forecasted for Over2.5 goals would be played at Over1.5 goals instead. The odds may be lower, but that is just a form of insurance. Likewise, a game forecasted for a straight win could be played at a Double Chance or Either Half win. Just my 2kobo |

chiibekee:My sister, it is a criminal offence under the child Rights law here in Nigeria. The sad news is that no state govt aside from Lagos has domesticated that particular law....and that includes the FTC. Even the Lagos that have domesticated the law is still lagging behind when it comes to implementation. In that case what do we now do. My humble submission is that, this is only a symptom of a sick socioeconomic system...and we can only correct it if we treat the whole system with the right amount of political will. Until then, the vicious cycle will continue. |

Appliedmaths:I like the way you articulated your points...but I beg to disagree with a premise you used...the example of a man depending on the income generated by his kids. That sounds appalling, it is the duty of the parent to provide for the kids and not the other way around. Why must the innocent kids be made to pay for their parent's wrong choices? Why have children when you can't even take care of your own self? |

Good morning folks...the race has begun. Dem nor dey carry first for university ooooo. Through collaboration and networking I believe we can all achieve our aim. I can tell you from experience that if you lose focus briefly, the result could be devastating. Water under the bridge.... Thanks to the giants on these thread LexxyBoy(MAN), marc9, coke man Adebayo and others too...I'm grateful to you guys for the good work. I owe you all two bottles of your favourite beverages, ranging from pure water to the green bottles. Take me up on my offer whenever you meet me. Where are the social scientists in the house? The elders and chiefs...those that have passed through this road before us and those still striving for the mark of excellence....I doff my hat in humble reverence. Please show us the way and let us learn from your experiences and shortcomings. The race they say is not to the swift...it is to athlete that is well prepared. University is not a 100m dash but a marathon. Don't prepare like Usain Bolt but more like an Ethiopian long distance runner...because it is a marathon. I guess at this point, I have to stop my rant. Have a wonderful day everyone. 7 Likes |

laverne006:I've never heard of that course combination before in uniben....or did you mean Sociology and Anthropology? My brother, you nor need go back school. After all your years in UNIBEN, you should have been equipped to handle life issues. What you need is a vision and not a professional qualification. In my opinion, going back to study law is total waste of time. I was in Uniben some years back and the little I learnt there is paving the way for me now. If truly you went to UNIBEN and you nor BEND, then maybe you need to go back then. 3 Likes |

I've been punting for some time now and it has been a yo-yo experience...sometimes, two steps forward and one step backward. At other times, it has been one step forward and two steps backward. Whichever way, I have not been making steady progress. So I took some time out to do some study and came to the conclusion that what one needs is to build the 'BANK' and not to win some huge sum with few quids. In the light of this, I want to propose a system whereby we are going to build our betting balance over a period of 30 days...using 10% of our 'BANK' i.e initial deposit to stake at evens (2.0 odds) daily for the 30 days after which we will review the win/loss ratio and determine the percentage profit/loss that accrues to us at the end of the month. That way, we can start thinking as an investor and not just as gamblers. So we can start taking risks and not gambling. This system requires strict adherence to the tenets and also one has to be very disciplined. In subsequent write ups, I will differentiate between risk taking and gambling. For now, let the "BANK" building begins. |

Lexxybooy:You still don't get my point....THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR A MILITARY INTERVENTION IN A CIVILIAN RULE. I am old enough to know all that happened from the latter end of Abacha's regime through to the mess of Obasanjo's regime. What I am saying is that if Buhari believes so much in democracy, why did he truncate a young democracy? Now, he wants to benefit from that same democracy he hated so much. Look beyond party politics and be patriotic for a change. I don't like GEJ, but he is a democrat and we can't say the same about Buhari |

Lexxybooy:You're out of line...there is no where in the world where you can justify a military intervention even in a corrupt civilian government. Point of correction, Obasanjo spent less than four years and he fulfilled the promise made by his predecessor (Muritala). He, just like Obasanjo before him shouldn't have been allowed to rule this nation. In 1999, nations just wanted the military to leave and we didn't care who would contest. And also, the political minds were wary considering the failed 3rd Republic. OGA THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR MILITARY INVENTION. Can you keep your money in a bank managed by a convicted armed robber? |

JSMMUYIWA:Have you ever thought of how matured our democracy would have been if Buhari hadn't truncated that republic? He has no moral standing to benefit from a democratic dispensation. I have nothing against him, but we need to be honest with ourselves...what were his achievements that warrants a second chance? And also, don't forget that his wingman (Idiagbon) is no longer around. |
