BigBashiru: It's not just colonialism though. The ambitions of the west has led to the development of their various countries and ease of life in general. From the days of Nikola Tesla to now, when modern day scientists are actively searching for the cure to cancer. When humans explore, this triggers curiosity. This then raises questions – what, why, how etc. These questions then lead to discoveries. This is simply what Africans lack, curiosity! If Africans were that advanced, then there wouldn't be the talk of colonialism today. Europeans had better weapons, better equipment and better supplies than Africans which made colonialism all very easy.
The history of Africa as you know it is a false history taught by colonialists....a lot of African history has been erased....but from the evidence we hv its Europe that we should be asking what they bring to the table. From telling false histories to renaming inventions and claiming African inventions as theirs to renaming African cities, Africans are the smart ones contrary to what many hv been programmed to believe.....it takes careful study of the real African history to see the real truth.
Ah shit. Here we go again. Please post the real African history and inventions, let me see.
And the history you know is the one and propaganda told by Europeans to glorify themselves...
The irony in this. You're literally spitting Pan-Africanist, "white man bad" propaganda.
May God open your eyes to see the truth....
The same God sold to you by Europeans of which other? |

"The girl is at fault. Why did she expose herself and tempt the man to rape her?" "Wait! We don't know the full story! Let us wait until we hear the side of the rapist before reaching a conclusion" "The [insert misogynistic word here] was probably toasting the man and didn't agree so she raped him and killed herself to frame the poor man so he'll go to jail. Fear women!" This generation of Nigerian men are weird and pedophilic af and the sigma, red pill crap isn't helping. |

HellVictorinho6: I have no idea what your point is but I'll address what I understood from your post. Not everything is about wealth though, like the issue of livability which is why "rich" Africans still travel outside their countries very often. And no, "our ways" is simply how Africans generally did things before any form of contact with Europeans in the 1400/1500s. |

Pan-Africanists continue to lie to themselves in order to justify their centuries of backwardness. Being unambitious ultimately led to the easy colonization by the French and the British and now, more than 60 years after decolonisation, the continent is yet to fix their problems - tribalism, corruption, extreme poverty, incompetent and greedy leadership, lawlessness and severely undereducated masses not to mention the fact that the lack of ambition still plaguing the continent till date. I mean, why do you live in modern houses and not your "aesthetically appealing" round huts? Why do you use smartphones rather than depend on town criers? You don't prefer your ways, you simply lack the capability to evolve and make it better by yourself! IboHausaYoruba: Think long and hard about this... What do you think any country on the African continent would be able to "bring to the table" in the next 2 centuries? Africans elect populist leaders who have no plan to develop their respective countries and when they're exposed as failures, they suddenly take a pan-Africanist, anti-west stance and soon become continental heroes - like the classic case of Museveni in Uganda. spy24: I'd argue there's more freedom in the west. Hell, there's more freedom in North Korea but ok 15 Likes 5 Shares |
Foreign Affairs / Re: We Captured Russian Army HQ Without A Single Shot — Wagner Chief by VeryStingyMan: 5:27pm On Jun 24, 2023 |
This is what happens when you decide to turn a neo-nazi extremist group headed by an unstable lunatic to a powerful highly trained private military commando. Everyone knows Wagner in Russia is more powerful than the Spetsnaz and Special Operations Forces because Putin has allowed them to become wild because they do Russia's dirty business in Africa and Eastern Europe. 27 Likes 5 Shares |
Foreign Affairs / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Military Coup Is Going On In Russia by VeryStingyMan: 8:56am On Jun 24, 2023 |
helinues: It is. You clearly don't know enough of International Relations and Russo-Ukrainian affairs from all your posts on this issue. Wagner Group is a private military company like Academy and Blackwater in the US, mostly used to by governments to carry out sensitive operations which the military and special forces can't carry out. Wagner aren't just prisoners. They're highly trained, neo-nazi extremist mercenaries (you can read about this online) who were largely considered to be Putin's private army before his recent fallout with Yevgeny due to his opposition to the Ukraine invasion. It's funny how you managed to make this about the US when this is purely a domestic dispute. smalldivk111: Sigh. Putin already called a press conference on this a few minutes ago. You better believe this is happening. You think Russia would authorize a military action on its soil because of "propaganda". Russia investigates mutiny as Wagner chief says evil military leaders must be stopped Or that the most powerful military force in Russia would suddenly start attacking their home country because the west said so Ofodirinwa: The US told Putin to fund a group of far right, neo-nazi extremists, turn them to bloodthirsty commandos in the hope that it backfires? The same US you said is dead?! The same Russia you claimed is impenetrable and will be the one to bring the west down?! This is entirely Putin's fault and anyone who says otherwise is living in denial. The problem is Africans don't know how to play their cards in geopolitics which is why you support the wrong people and always lose 4 Likes |

muzically: Oh my goodness! Muzically will never play subway surfers again! How will this critically acclaimed game, which has over 3 billion downloads and makes its developers over $100 million survive now?! Damn... It's a shame they've have to close shop because some emotionally fragile Africans get jittery at the sight of a bloody rainbow Johnjustice: The same white people who sold you the idea of an invisible sky man who can do all things if you just pray to him? Like Africans don't behave anyhow. Anyone who's being honest and nonjudgmental would admit that Africans generally behave in less appealing ways than white people (I admit this sounds racist, but it's a fact) There has always being gay people, straight people and trans people and they'll always be. It only seems this way now because people feel confident and bold enough to not hide it anymore. Astra101: Straight people will have kids if they want to... Nobody's forcing you to be gay. And a global population decrease will do a great deal of good for this continent and the world in general at a time like this. 3 Likes |

But seriously though, as a believer in science, nobody is telling me what I want to know... What is the scientific correlation between whatever is done at traditional marriage rites and penis captivus? Like a known (and actually common) medical occurrence just happens because the "juju" detects that she slept with another man who is not her husband? Juju na artificial intelligence? Who did this to Africans, please? Kobojunkie: Same thing with all religions though. Christianity would tell her to stay in the same emotionally abusive relationship and "pray" for her grossly irresponsible partner Islam would tell her that she exists solely for the pleasure of her husband who can decide to marry as many as he likes without an iota of responsibility on his part. In summary, religion is a scam 2 Likes |

HardMirror: Are you just realising this? The average Nigerian is in a bubble, sexually, emotionally and psychologically repressed and trapped within the confines of religion, spirituality and morality. I remember a while back, a lot of Nigerians on here were insulting WannaHowzit and other South Africans because SA is a relatively liberal country in that aspect only to come on social media and sexualise women after coming back from church Its like a closeted gay person being upset that an openly gay person exists and is actually thriving. Parachoko: They aren't competing with the Big Three though. It's a tier 2 MVNO license so they'll use the existing infrastructure of any of the other telecom services and anyone in the telecom industry would tell you that an MVNO is next to nothing because its still the same largely unreliable infrastructure they'll utilize. Good for them though. 93 Likes 7 Shares |

englishmart: It would be funny if it wasn't so frustrating. Religion has been used as a tool to degrade the average Nigerian, psychologically and mentally. It was first utilized by the British colonialists and now by corrupt politicians who have learnt to weaponised "God bless you" while they steal public funds... Yet if you ask any Nigerian, they'll tell you they "need a god-fearing leader" when what we actually need is someone who has a clue how to solve this country's problems. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy: You Can't Task The Poor To Pay The Rich - NLC Mobilises For Wed by VeryStingyMan: 2:34pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
I think it's time for this country to prioritize union busting and breaking up trade associations. We can't say we've truly liberalised the market if unions and associations take up the former roles of government and hold the country to ransom. Also, there's a reason there are no unions in free market economies - they exist to only serve to stagnate the economy. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Family / Re: Why Are There Too Many Poor People Who Cannot Take Care Of Their Families? by VeryStingyMan: 2:33pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: If you're oversimplifying, then yes. Governments across the globe tend to prioritize the 1% over the rest of the 99%. This is a well established fact. Of course, the poor in African countries aggravate their own situation with the number of children they have but their situation in general are borne out the a deep-rooted lack of interest in their welfare by the society. Also, the poor can't afford to compare themselves to the elites. The system makes sure that a poor person's child has to work thrice as hard as a rich person's child for only a fraction of what the rich person's child has. Is that what you call fate? 4 Likes |
Family / Re: Why Are There Too Many Poor People Who Cannot Take Care Of Their Families? by VeryStingyMan: 4:32pm On Jun 04, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: Funny how I agree with you on pretty much everything except this. Poor people globally don't choose to be poor. They are made poor because they are not prioritized by governments across the world, not just Nigeria. Take the US for example. Why would the American government decide to give more money in tax cuts and rebates to already rich billionaires rather than taxing the rich to solve their chronic homeless problem? Why would Nigeria continue to maintain a broken, elitist neocolonialist system which serves to cater for the elite and industrial complex like Dangote, Otedola and Elumelu rather than build a system that works for the other 99.99%? And when the poor complain, they are simply told that they don't work hard But the system simply doesn't allow the poor to become rich... the system allows the rich to become richer. Which is why Elon Musk and others who all came from relatively wealthy, comfortable homes can continue to be rich but an average homeless Joe on the street of Manhattan can't be a rich tech tychoon. Though I agree with you that poor people especially in Nigeria and Africa don't help themselves with the burden they carry like the number of wives and children they have but they aren't the inherent cause of their problem - the system simply gives Otedola's daughters and Elumelu's sons a platform than it does to the guy with 5 children who live in an uncompleted building next door. 5 Likes |
