Politics / Local Content: ‘nigeria Still Losing 75% Petroleum Business’ by vibeslady: 8:53pm On Sep 23, 2011
It's so sad to know that at this level of development and experience as far as Oil & Gas sector is concerned(Compared to other countries, Angola in particular). Nigeria is taking the Local Content Policy with levity, in view of this loosing Billions of Dollars to foreign players. You just need to come to Angola and see what and how Local Content Policy is being handled and what they stand to benefit from the Policy, That is why "Angola today, is another place for Oil & gas boom in place of Nigeria", ! Trust me, most of the Topside Modules and the Subsea Installation structures are being done in (within) Angola, Were as Nigeria is not even talking about subsea aspect for now, ! You need to find out how Local Content Policy is being handled from some Nigerian Experts working in the Oil & Gas sector for Angola. And what it takes for any foreign Expert to work in Angola due to the Policy.
Nigeria please wake up. "Nigerian Experts outside are ready to come back home, to swing into action, "

Did u say for another 4years I should go to a Yoga x,y,z,  Pls Ooo,
I heard what our Madam said (Okonjo Iweala), our indefatigable Lady. I think she's really making sense especially with the interview she had with Richard Quest (CNN), i.e coming this time with a New flavour, " I hope the Main food (Nigerian Economy) would taste nice in line with the  new flavour for we the Nigerians. sahh. I want to believe she's going to be one of the reliable figures that Mr President would effectively use to be Nigeria's Life-Saver (Economically), ! My hopes are high and my fingers are still crossed as per the PIB,  I honestly want to see Nigeria turn in to African Dubai, ! Yes , My fingers are still crossed.

I heard about how the new LNG-Project is being handled and I felt bad. Do you know how many Man-hours approved for the project? and you wouldn't believe the quota being assigned to Nigerian Engineers more so, the better part or bulk of the Project would be done outside Nigeria. Were do we stand in terms of technology transfer. During Obasanjo's time, that can never happen(Local Content Policy must be strictly adhered to)More so, "Some of these so called Giant Multinational companies" claim not to really believe in local capabilities, but one thing I know is that Nigerian Engineers are still the secret brains behind most of these Projects, which I strongly want them to have a ch age of attitude toward Nigerian Engineers. Nigerian Engineers are good. You need to see what they are doing out there, you'll be amazed, ! They are the brains behind the success of Oil & Gas boom in other countries even here in Africa (Trust me, !) Most of them are willing to come back home to Join the Oil and Gas revolution in Nigeria to move the country forward, ! If we get it right on time, Power Generation issue will be solved , One time, !

I want Nigeria to move to the next level, I believe in Us, We've got ALL what it takes. About the NigaSAT being lunched today, yes I'm happy about it, But Not until I see it being effectively used to address KEY areas in the lives of Nigerians especially To tackle Security Issues, ! Which is recently giving Nigeria a bad image. The Military and mostly the Security agencies in Nigeria should have access to Info in-put out-put via NijaSAT to track and Clamp down Crimes, !
Honestly I've got soo Much on my mind, I can keep talking on and on, But I pray for Nigeria to get things right, I Know, We shall get it right, !

Can somebody remind me of One of the Key issues Mr.President promised to fulfill during his campaign, !
I honestly need a doctor, I'm really getting sick, tired, and running out of patience on how this present administration is handling the PIB, ! I miss OBJ for this, ( God bless you were ever you are - During his time, Local Content Policy was indeed a reality, not any more)
Let the Oil & Gas Revolution begin, for the progress of Nigeria, for the sake of our future. Let it start with the PIB, ! For once, Let Nigeria grab the Bull by its horns, Let's be proud to take up the responsibility for our Action for the firs time, Nigeria , I trust, Pls help me out, !

Thanks for your response, ! At least I feel much better with your reply. But I wouldn't want to hold onto your words. I heard about how the new LNG-Project is being handled and I felt bad.
