zendy: It's not strange, it's the very fundamental characteristics of parasitism. To be effective, parasites must be of different specie and genus from their hosts. The further the differences or lack of similarity a parasite has with it's host, the more effective it becomes in evolving properties and mechanisms that will prevent the host from ridding itself of the parasite. 1 Like |

The earlier Yorubas focus more on how to pull away from Odua-Arewa future country, and less on Biafra, the better for them. 17 Likes |

Kagawash07: Incase you have forgotten, the Eastern minorities are the focus of my argument, not the Midwest minorities. We couldn't get to Lagos without passing through Midwest , could we? Lagos was the destination, not Midwest. The Midwestern Igbos like the Eastern Igbos have a perfect understanding and relative peace with the non Igbo groups there, there was never a case of land grabbing. Anioma borders with Isoko, Bini, Esan are clear with no ambiguity. The land grabbing exists only in your head, perhaps because you come from a culture were savagery as exemplified by conquering, subduing and lording it over weaker groups is hailed as bravery. |

Kagawash07: Wiwa never said such. When Wiwa recognized he had been played by the cursed and dubious Awo, he ran back to Ndiigbo, he attended Ohanaeze meeting and begged for forgiveness. It was about same time, he wrote that his long poem, I posted part of here. Awo deserved the fate that befell him, he toyed with lots of destinies and created lots of bitter hearts against him. You can imagine how heartbroken Wiwa became, when he saw the crude oil wealth siphoned by Awo( and his Arewa masters) to Lagos, while Ogoni land laid in ruins, after Adekunle had finished shooting all that moves there. Such amount of treachery and deception was never going to be allowed to go unpunishment by mother nature. Awo had it coming. |

Kagawash07: Mpama. Ironsi never implemented the unitary system before he was killed. He was killed for floating the idea. He merely united the civil service. It was your greed for Eastern region crude oil wealth that drove your cursed Awo and Gowon into adopting unitary government, and then creating anomalies known as states to serve as your conduit in siphoning the crude wealth. Same greed drove Awo into committing suicide, and same greed will ensure you become eternally enslaved in an Islamic country with your Arewa masters, after Biafra secession, |

Lol! Eastern region had always been multiethnic. It is so because the most populous ethnic group in the region, Ndiigbo are not empire builders. We lived in our mini village republics and allowed the minorities. be. We were never savages roaming around looking for who to conquer and Lord over. Live and let live is the standard of offor and ogu that guides Igbo societies. Only a silly and blind Eastern minority buys the story of Igbo land grabbing. Okpara facilitated the movement of Shell headquarters from Owerri to PH, Gowon and his gang went to Kaduna and built a refinery to siphon ND crude oil, Awo facilitated the transfer and establishment of crude oil Coys to Lagos. Spot the difference. |

Aaa! Why, Brother, can’t you see? The monsters come They come to us Call us each to one side And say: I set a prize Here is a string of blades Blunt blades, you can see Only wrap them Around your ankles Around your wrists Around your fist And fight your brother! You are right But he is wrong I set a prize Fight! And we fight each other And while we are cut up In the fight The monsters go out Stealthily Like a jesting ripple at sea And carter away The wealth in our house And it occurs again Another time They ante up butchery prizes And we fight and wound Why, why, why? Brother mine! Why do we fight! It all became clear to Saro Wiwa with the advantage of hindsight, alas it was too late for him. |

"With the war ended, and as a Commissioner in Rivers State, I soon found that the Rivers State for which I had fought did not end my nightmare. In the first place, oil money from Ogoni country (as well as Ijaw country) was being carted away to Lagos, leaving the Ogoni illiterate and backward. This is anti-federalism". Here is what Saro Wiwa have to say about Gowon-Awo greed. They sinked a conduit pipe in Eastern region, siphoned the wealth of the region to Lagos, and then later Abuja. While at the same time creating diversion through divide and steal by firstly pitching the rest of the East against Igbos, and when Igbos were gone, they pitched the rest of the Eastern minorities against Ijaws, and while the East was boiling and fighting each other, they carted away with crude oil wealth of the region, as heavy infrastructures were being built in Lagos and Later in Abuja, as if it was there that the war took place. |

Kagawash07: Awo is already cursed, only a cursed man commits suicide. He will remain cursed for conniving with Gowon to create anomalies called states, which had helped to increase the cost of governance in Nigeria to astronomical level, as well as serving as conduit pipes with which he and Gowon siphoned the crude oil wealth of the East to Odua and Arewa lands. Cursed May he remain! Isee! |

Kagawash07: You need brain transplant Surgery. The region should have been allowed to stay as they were, and then each region should create and run as many states as it could Carter and need. That way, the land use decree wouldn't have been created and the lopsided state creations and LGAs that Serve as conduits to siphon ND crude oil wealth wouldnt have been created. It was your cursed and damned Awo and power drunk Gowon that dissolved the regions, reduced the derivation formula, and Obj would go on to create the land use decree. You are silly and retarded if you are going to hold Ironsi responsible for Awo and Gowon actions, in addition to OBJ's. |

Imokay: Igbo achievements before Nigeria, Relatively peaceful co existence with our non Igbo neighbors. A highly evolved mini republics with democratic flavour and community policing. Highly developed art works in Igbo ukwu. Yoruba achievements before Nigeria: Getting ass whooped by Nupe and Fulanis Building a village empire of clustered mudhouses with no regard for ventilation or living spaces. Incapable of evolving a democracy, roaming about like savages looking for each other to subdue and rule over. In capable of co existing in relative peace with each other, let alone with non Yoruba groups, having local fatal wrestling matches with each other they termed kiriji wars. Ife artworks were not better than those of Igbo ukwu or Nri. |

Imokay: Lol@ Yoruba generals. Yoruba Generals that were panicking over the Northern occupation of Lagos, the same Yoruba generals that were sent packing by Nupe warriors who ransacked Oyo Ile, the then capital of Oyo and forced Oyo to relocate more south. The same Generals that were whooped by Fulanis in Kwara and till this day remain subservient to Fulanis in Kwara? Lol! Only in " suffersticated" lands are Cowardice and fear hailed as tact and common sense! A people that can't even free their land from Fulanis in Kwara are now the one to give consent to Biafra? The wealthiest individuals in Nigeria are those who have links with the government and have enjoyed govt monopoly policies, eg Dangote, or those that has benefited from ND crude oil wealth, Otedola and Alakija. They are not innovators, inventors or revolutionaries, that tells you a thing about the entity Nigeria. On the average, the Igbos are better off than all. The most brilliant? I don't know, Adichie seem to be the only globally recognized Nigerian intellectual now. Igbo states of Anambra, Abia and Imo have been topping JAMB and WAEC stats. SE states of Imo and Anambra have the highest cut off marks for enrollment into unity schools. Distinguished? Well Kanu remains the most decorated Nigerian footballer. Nobody is carrying anybody, we are simply leaving the door open for Eastern non Igbo groups. Reasons? Shared culture and histories between the Ogoni and the Ndokis, between Ikwerre and Ohaji, between Ogba/ Ndoni and Anioma, between the Annang and Ngwas/ Ikwuano, between the Ndoki/ the Ibibios and Ibani Ijaws, the Aro/ Cross Rivers, the Ikwo/Ezza and the Ekoi, the Afikpo and Northern Cross river groups. It's a chain of interconnectivity and relative peace and understanding built over decades of co existence side by side as neighbors. Common religion, etc. We can go at it alone, but we recognize that a heterogeneous nation United by shared goals, history, culture, religion and purpose is strength. 1 Like |

HopeAtHand: Why do we want to leave Nigeria? Because we are ambitions people that are hardly satisfied by yesterday's successes. Because we know that we shouldn't be competing with Arewa and Odua, they are no competition out all, if after starting afresh in 1970, we are once again ahead of them. We know we can compete with the rest of the civilized world power for power, rather than be wasting time in mudslinging contest in Nigeria. We know who we are, and we know where we should be without the heavy stone called Nigeria tied to our legs and slowing us down. Take a look at this: https://www.nairaland.com/2444018/pains-loss-nation-trapped-retrogressive This is who we are. In Biafra such crude talents will be refined by a central government policy and given wings to soar and take Biafra to enviable heights. We have the human resources to be a first world country. 1 Like |

AshiwajuFoward: Yorubas couldn't have been neutral when you lots were harbouring Northern soldiers in your region, and the attack to Eastern region were being launched from your region. Yet you refused to chase the Northerners away or allow the Biafrans do that. Awo even from the link you posted in his dubious way made it clear that he was for one Nigeria, but doesn't support Ojukwu or Gowon. Such was the dubious and treacherous nature of the man, if you were for one Nigeria, then obviously and by default you are enemies of Biafans who were against one Nigeria. Yes we know your destiny. To be subservient to your Arewa masters, I guess that's the definition of " wisdom" tact in the "suffersticated" lands, it's your albatross to carry, but Ndiigbo must not and cannot partake in it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Kagawash07: Mpama, Ironsi never dissolved the regions, he merely united the civil service. It was Gowon and Awo greed to partake in the Eastern region oil wealth that drove them into creation of anomalies called states, while totally dis regarding the Wilkins report demand of Eastern minorities. It was the creation of Gowon and Awo dysfunctional states as conduits to siphon Eastern oil wealth that instigated the mad rush by subsequent Odua-Arewa rulers to continue creating more dysfunction non viable states up North, and to sustain such states, the crude wealth of the Eastern minorities were taken from them by a dubious decree that turned their lands into free for all lands. Your Awo and Gowon greed created states that was the genesis of expensive governance we are having today, they paved way for land use decree that was needed to finance non viable states up North and then as more and more non Viable states were created, more and more of Eastern minorities oil wealth was needed to finance them, so the derivation formula for them kept shrinking and shrinking until it was almost zero. But guess whose fault it is? Nzeogwu and Ironsi according to SW people. Lol! |

HopeAtHand: Lol! And you think Ndiigbo care about your useless Ikwerre? You lots are of no significance to the Igbo nation, you have little or no human resources, no one gives a rat about Ikwerres, infact I don't even know how and why you ended up dragging the Ikwerres into this thread. For your info, Igbos offer more to Nigeria than Nigeria could ever offer us, we know this, that's why we are eager to dump Nigeria. If it were the other way round, you won't be hearing a drop about Biafra. Stats show that Ndiigbo had made the most out of Nigeria more than any other Nigerian group including your insignificant Ikwerre lol, despite anti Igbo policies of this union, and it's on that basis that we know for certain that we are better off without Nigeria. Chew on that. You are a jellyfish. A system was in place, I tried to remove it, you killed me for doing that, and accused me of being greedy, but you ended up using that same system and even adopted more things to make the system more evil. But in your cholesterol clogged brain cells, it is my fault that you adopted and went on to corrupt the system, I am greedy, but you holy one choose and adopted a supposedly greedy system. You now see why Nnamdi call the country and it's occupants Zoo and animals? Your reasoning capacity is almost zero. 3 Likes 1 Share |
