Nothing so bad in the nigerian detectives snapping with Evans after a long term of evading arrest.

Snapping with Evans to the Police Detectives is just like winning the Olympic Gold medal and snapping pictures with it.

What is wrong is wrong. I have never seen FBI director posing with a criminal except during an arrest.

Abba Kyari, you are an admired detective. But please it is just poor imagery to pose with criminals.

Wish I could wish her RIP but can't. The report of her death said the house help asked for a raise and the woman refused. Then she sent him on an errand to buy expensive food from Astoria. Imagine.

You see your upside down thinking?? Punch is reporting that the cook killed his boss because he wanted his December salary paid mid month so he could send to his girlfriend in Cameroon.

http://punchng.com/killer-houseboy-lagos-lady-desperate-send-money-girlfriend-police/

The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, Dolapo Badmos, on Saturday said that the suspect was still making useful confessional statements to detectives at the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.

She added that Ludguo would be charged with murder among other charges, upon the completion of investigation.

Our correspondent had reported that Ludguo approached the 32-year-old victim around 10.30pm on Tuesday and asked for N15,000 out of his N27,000 salary.

Adeleke was said to have pleaded with him to be patient, saying she did not have naira notes on her.

But the entreaty fell on the deaf ears as Ludguo left the boss’ living room in anger only to return a few minutes later with a knife and stabbed her in the chest.

The security guard of the Adelekes’ residence, who identified himself simply as Abbah, had told The PUNCH that the suspect was employed about two months ago, adding that he was on drugs.

Badmos, on Saturday, warned residents against employing domestic workers without properly looking at their profiles.

She said, “The victim was found lying on the floor of her living room in a pool of blood. A kitchen knife was found stuck into the left side of her chest. She was rushed to St. Nicholas Hospital on Lagos Island, where a doctor on duty confirmed her dead.

“Some drug substance was found on the suspect and he has made confessional statements. He said he wanted to send money to his girlfriend in Cameroon and that was how an argument ensued between him and the boss.

“Investigation is still ongoing and he will be duly prosecuted. Meanwhile, people should be wary of employing domestic servants on the road. Background checks need to be carried out on them.”

Properties / Re: Efcc Charges Monan Trading Coy For Forgery And Stealing by vimo3: 5:13pm On Oct 19, 2016
It seems my earlier submission about the weakness of this case was flagged in the basis of the final court ruling ie "there has been at best a controversial sales of land by some persons who belong to the family that owns the land". Based on the provable facts of this case, frankly it seems Olaoreawofele was scammed by the party who she purchased from; that is where I think she should seek and would get justice.

http://guardian.ng/property/court-strikes-out-n80m-land-theft-suit-freezes-order-on-monan-estate/
A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has struck out an N80m land theft charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against businesswoman, Mrs. Moji Yakubu and nine other persons.

EFCC charged Yakubu alongside her company, Monan Trading Company Limited and eight others for alleged stealing 10 hectares of land at Sagotedo, Lekki, which belongs to one Jokotade Estate Resources Limited.

Other defendants are Chief Muka Bajulaiye, Alhaja Ajimot Adisa, Alani Shirawu, Bajulaiye Hakeem, Akeem Giwa, Rachael Tokede, Adelaja Raji and Nuniru Mushafau.

They pleaded not guilty to the 11-count charge bordering on forgery and theft preferred against them and was granted bail.

The first defendant (Yakubu) counsel, Yemi Adeshina filed an application before the court seeking an order to quash the charges on the ground that they were incompetent.

Adeshina averred that the charge against his client was an abuse of court process, as his client has not committed any crime known to law.
In its response to the application, the EFCC insisted that there is sufficient evidence for the defendants to stand trial.

However, while ruling on the application, Justice Ipaye held the submissions of the defense and struck out the 11 count charges against all the defendants.

Justice Ipaye held that from the prove of evidence, the EFCC failed to established a prima facie case against all the defendants.

She stated that while it was not in dispute that the 1st defendant and her company purchased the said 10 hectares of land, the EFCC failed to provide prove that the transaction was an act of crime triable under the criminal law.

“The defense counsel had exhibited a petition against one Sade Ogundare challenging her power of attorney over a large parcel of land from which the 10 hectares of land was sold.

“ From the quick perusal of the proof of evidence filed before me by the EFCC, my deduction is that there has been at best a controversial sales of land by some persons who belong to the family that owns the land. This, I believe is an issue that falls within the jurisdiction of civil dispute.

“ From the proof of evidence before me, the prosecution has failed to prove that there is sufficient ground for the trial to continue. The application filed by the 1st and 2nd defendants succeeds and the amended information dated March 14, 2016 is hereby quashed.”

Earlier before ruling, Justice Ipaye had lambasted the EFCC prosecution team led by Babatunde Sonaiki for fraudulent obtaining a temporary forfeiture order from another Lagos High Court judge sealing the Monan Garden Estate development project, which was ongoing at the disputed 10 hectares land.

She therefore ordered that the freeze order placed on the Monan Trading bank account be lifted as it was done without following due process.

The judge wondered why the EFCC would secure such an order from another court while the matter is still before her, threatened to file a formal complaint against Mr. Sonaiki before the appropriate disciplinary authority.
Properties / Re: Efcc Charges Monan Trading Coy For Forgery And Stealing by vimo3: 7:51pm On Jul 21, 2016
olaoreawofele,

You have a history of attacking anybody who does not support you on this forum. Anyhow now that the case is before the court, it means that a judgment would be reached finally.

I read the articles and also this posting: https://www.nairaland.com/3239418/monan-petitions-efcc-boss-over#47739072

5 things appear to be out of place in your case against Monan.

1) Are you sure your lawyer did not scam you? To put it mildly, she has a reputation for land scams within the Lagos legal circles. Also, News articles say that a faction of the family which owns the land dragged your lawyer to EFCC and to court over allegations that your lawyer no longer had their power of attorney and that they never got the money you paid for the land. Well, if you say that Monan has been scamming unsuspecting victims, looking at the family's allegation, one would not be surprised if it was your lawyer that scammed unsuspecting victims like you. Did you pay in full? did you pay to the right representative of the family? did the money get to the family? Did the family issue you LASG government approved documents? The court will determine this.

2) EFCC broke the law with their action on Monan's account. In flagrant disregard of the EFCC Act, they froze Monan's business account without a court order. Following a ruling by Justice Ipaye, the illegal freeze was lifted. From Justice Ipaye's judgment, EFCC was rightly flayed by the judge on this matter. I imagine that EFCC shopped around but was not able to find a judge willing to issue the order because they could not make an adequate case to support freezing the account. Yet they went ahead to freeze the account. The court has now ruled on this.

3) The temporary forfeiture secured by EFCC seems to have been obtained in an unethical fashion. EFCC went to a different court (without notifying Monan, the family or Justice Ipaye's court) to obtain a temporary forfeiture on a case that was before Justice Ipaye's court. Even you will have to admit that there is something suspicious about this action. One can only suspect EFCC went to a judge whom they believed was biased in their favor not one who was after fairness or justice. Lets see how the trial responds to this action.

4) It does seem EFCC has no jurisdiction on the case - EFCC understands that its jurisdiction does not cover land ownership matters. Land ownership is a civil matter (not a financial fraud case) which falls under a civil court process. Because of this, EFCC had to allege that the "Land was stolen" in order to be able to pursue the case. This is why Justice Ipaye is asking EFCC to defend the allegation because the justice would like to understand how an immovable property like land can be stolen - the appropriate case would have been to say it was trespassed upon. Ofcourse EFCC knows that if it files a trespass case, it would be thrown out for lack of EFCC jurisdiction. The court will determine whether there is a case to be heard here.

5) From news articles, it was Monan's faction of the family that originally reported the matter to EFCC. Frankly if they were guilty, it is doubtful that they would take such action. How EFCC then turned around to arrest them, and then notified you of when EFCC was going to paint their temporary forfeiture on the Monan Estate walls (whilst not notifying Monan or the family) and you were able to get there on time to take pictures of EFCC, well it all sounds quite suspicious to the thinking mind.

Ofcourse you can attack me as you have done to everyone else. People resort to personal attacks when they do not have strong arguments. If they had strong arguments, they will respond to the matters that have been raised.

SHAME on Premium Times.

You are trying to justify the shameless story you put out yesterday for which you were roundly condemned.

Even if Ese willingly went with the Pedophile to Kano, is PT unaware she is a minor?

By the way is PT unaware that you are not to interview a minor and publish in the absence of his or her parents?

I am truly DISAPPOINTED in PT.

Is PT saying it is ok for minors to launch into misguided marriage trips to Kano? I don't get this line of reporting. Coat it as you like, It is just morally and ethically wrong.

With newspapers like PT, what is the fate of poor young female children of Hausa/Fulani tribe? They are the most vulnerable group in Nigeria - over 80% are uneducated and over 60% are married off before they are 15yrs.

PT with your underhanded attempt to support the oppressors of this group - who will give voice to the voiceless?

Thank you Kayode for calling Buhari and APC out.

As an APC supporter, I am greatly alarmed at the thought that this may not be a mistake by Buhari. But rather it could be an unfolding of his true colors.

From running a near monarchy (no cabinet), to appointing mostly northerners (because according to APC he is not comfortable with southerners), to denying a much publicized campaign promise document, to making wild corruption allegations (as if we do not have courts and due process and without charging anyone)......

I think there's reason for Nigerians to be very worried about APC administration...

I am an APC supporter but I am getting very concerned about the presidents tendency for jungle justice which is what making baseless accusations lead to. If the APC has evidence, they should charge the former ministers to court. Else quit tarnishing their reputations with sensational accusations.

I am also not happy with the incoherent press releases from Mr Presidents media team. What the hell is the above disjointed release about? This was also how Garba Shehu's article on PMB's 100 days read incoherently .

It seems it is the Lagos APC folks who know their onions where media is concerned.

OP - the best marriage counsel usually come from older experienced couples not young unmarried inexperienced individuals.

Nairaland appears to be populated by young inexperienced individuals - heck a lot of commenters are still university students! So please note that it is risky and unwise to rely on their advise.

Regarding your wife, any older couple will tell you that there have been one or two issues that rocked the foundation of their marriage. Only the couple know about it. So my dear, yours will not be the worst.

I suggest you forgive from the depth of your heart and rebuild your trust for her Like many successful couples have had to do again and again.

Nigerians rightfully expect swift action - simply because he has had such a long time to think about this office...

6 months from his election in March to form a cabinet is simply unacceptable. Also, only deeming it fit to explain to Obama why he has been slow but not to his people, is very disrespectful to the Nigerian people.....

Farm+:
Summary of it all is that both Neophyte-mason and BRABUS are greedy.

Why will you recommend and even give a guy who purportedly didn't deliver on the initial project, a bigger and more complex job.

Conny man die conny man bury am.

Farm+ so let me make sure I understand you -

The Ile Oluji client is 'greedy' because Brabus did a bad job previously for him and yet he forgave him and gave him a second chance by recommending him to the Diamond project, and when he saw that the Diamond project was going well, he gave him a third opportunity? I fail to understand the thought process here. How is a person greedy for giving a second chance to a contractor who he thought made a mistake in the first project??

Perhaps it could be that you have hardly ever been given a second chance, therefore it is an anomaly when others do so?

The other thing I find astounding is that you have now turned around to call 'greedy' a client who has spent over N25m only to face fraudulent behaviour by his contractor.

By the way, I still don't know how you came to the conclusion that Brabus quoted cheaply and his 'greedy' Ile Oluji client fell for his cheap quotes. Brabus quoted and collected N750k for the Ile Oluji Windows - he never delivered them. Then the client made the same windows, by himself, for N500k. I am getting confused honestly - so the client was 'greedy' by agreeing to higher quote and yet ended up doing it cheaper? Bear in mind this is the case for all the quoted works which the client eventually went ahead to do by himself.

Sir, with all due respect, your submission stands logic on its head.

Even my windows project was over quoted - soon now you will call me greedy for agreeing to an over-quote or cheap quote turned over-quote...

NextHome: The Truth

Its true that payments were made for some work not done. In likewise manner, some works were done which were either underpaid or not paid for at all.

So your claim is not that there was a cost overrun. Rather your claim is that we underpaid or even did not pay!!!!....you were FULLY mobilized for each stage. So at what point did we "under pay" you or "not pay" you?

Nairalanders, you see the confusing deceit and lies we are dealing with here??

He has ofcourse been promising to deliver the windows which by the way is quoted well above market.

Anybody who can give Brabus/Next Home a contract should please do so, so that he can raise funds to refund me or deliver the above market quote windows. I am fine with recommending him to those who believe his account over that of 5 aggrieved clients.
Properties / Re: The Chateau In Ile-oluji: Our Construction Journal by vimo3: 4:08am On Dec 05, 2013
@Dayoagboola, if indeed you are not Brabus, I am at a loss as to how 5 different clients can accuse a contractor of defrauding them and you are considering engaging the same contractor. I guess for some - seeing is believing. So my response is to encourage you to contract Brabus for your job - perhaps he will then have funds to repay his victims? Thinking about it, it is in my best interest if you give him your contract.

That said, if you know of other people who can also assist his victims with recovering their monies, please I would be extremely grateful for an introduction.
Properties / Re: The Chateau In Ile-oluji: Our Construction Journal by vimo3: 2:43am On Dec 05, 2013
Brabus/Nexthome/Dayoagboola or whatever other handle you are using these days-

Since you have decided to come here to do what you do best which is to confuse issues/fool unsuspecting readers - rather than go and refund moneys taken, then here goes.

First question, to date you have been FULLY mobilized for each stage. So why have we given you N1.5m and not seen our windows etc for the duplex in diamond estate? We have kept every one of your correspondence regarding funds requested and disbursed to you.

Second question, again you have been fully mobilized for each stage. SO why have you been given N1.7m by your client in Ile Oluji and the client is having to pay again for windows, tiles, pop, electric wiring (readers please note he was given all the money he requested for despite consistently quoting above market rate).

Third question, if indeed you had a cost overrun of N3.2m (which you are now trying to deceive nairalanders into believing), how does a project manager have cost overruns of N3.2m! and not notify his clients at any point in time of this huge cost overrun?

Fourth question, once again, you have been fully mobilized for each stage. SO why have so many of your workers both in the duplex project and the Ile Oluji project been calling myself and your Ile Oluji client to complain about not being paid?? This is despite the fact that we have fully mobilized you by giving you the money YOU requested in each stage!

Fifth question, why have at least 2 of your clients called me this year alone (your first client in Diamond and your other client in Agege area or so) to lament over giving you money and not seeing the work? This is not including Ahonohai accusations and frustrations which, thinking about it, is very similar to what your various clients are facing with you - the Ahonohai case was well chronicled here -

https://www.nairaland.com/687022/building-luxury-block-flats-day-to-day/43#9152614

Readers, in retrospect, Ahonohai's frustrations mirror exactly what I, the Ile Oluji client and the other 2 clients who have called me this year have faced with Brabus. And the annoying thing is that the same confusing excuses/lies/denials/deception he used with Ahonohai is what he is using with me, his Ile Oluji client and the other 2 who called me. I am prepared to provide email and text evidence from Brabus confirming receipt of funds, apologizing for not delivering after collecting funds and so on. I am also going to ask the lady he first defrauded in Diamond to come here and share her experience which range from misappropriation of funds to outright lies about his educational qualifications. Readers, I would rather not derail this thread, I just want to highlight the level of deception at play here.

Sixth question, having been fully mobilized for each stage, when will you, Brabus/Nexthome/Dayoagboola, refund our monies rather than continue to confuse/deceive nairalanders about an incredible N3.2m cost overrun?

I think it is fair for readers to know the kind of character or fraudsters that Brabus is. He comes here posting self glorifying pictures and commentaries while defrauding his clients in the back end.

Brabus has been given N1.5million for the windows and so on for this project. To date we are yet to see or understand what has become of this money. This is not the first time Brabus or whatever the hell he calls himself has defrauded his clients. His client in Ile Oluji is complaining about N1.7million which was given to Brabus and for which he is unable to account. See the clients post in

This year alone, I have gotten calls from at least 2 of Brabus clients complaining about giving him money and not seeing the work. If he denies it, I will reveal the names of these clients right here on this blog.

This is to prevent others from being defrauded by Brabus. "BUYER BEWARE"
