Career / Be Fair And Just! God Is Still God! by VincentAnointed(m): 10:39pm On Oct 05, 2013
Over time I have discovered there is no absolute finish-line for everyone in the race of life. Our tracks are different and our durations are different. The only thing we have in common is the same empire. For instance, one person graduates at 20 and struggles for another 5 years to get a job, another might graduate at 25 and get a job immediately. One can marry a virgin and wait for the next decade to have the blessings of children, another lady probably after having series of abortions in her past, becomes a mother almost immediately after marriage. A fellow becomes MD at 38 and dies at 56, another becomes MD at 55 and lives to 90. What a life! Life is full of twists, turns, ups and downs and many more surprises and disappointments. Life offers each one of us different opportunities and once an opportunity is lost, it's gone forever except by the grace of God. It is up to each one of us to patiently prepare, wait, recognise and utilise every opportunity. We learn on the way. No one knows it all or has it better. There is a reason why we all don't fall at the same time. It's so that when one is down, weak and discouraged, the other who is strong, can encourage and lift the other person. God never promised that the road would be easy but he promised never to leave nor forsake us. Although life is a competition, let us learn to go easy on ourselves and trust that God is working it all out for good (even if it doesn't make sense now). I know that there is a time for everything but most importantly that "it will come to pass". Whatever trials, challenges or down time , this too shall pass and in due course, you will be up and strong again to lift up those who maybe down around you......NEVER LOSE HOPE...God is still God!

Politics / The Road To Power... by VincentAnointed(m): 10:51am On Oct 05, 2013
THE ROAD TO POWER
Vincent D. Anointed

The road to power, fame and success is like the road to Golgotha… along the lonely paths of life, life takes a formless shape and the journey of man across the realm of mortals becomes but a hollow emptiness… good men are only but slaves to bad men, evil is good and sin is a saint… to get to power in this land of the deceived, you only have to possess the might and strength to kill… in this theatre of the absurd, life is only but a game of the strongest.

Some are living while others exist… the law is good, but laws are made for the strong and the weak are only but tools in the hand of the mighty… Law is good and obedience to it is for the select few, who are either the downtrodden or the least of men.

The road to power I was taught is the road taken by the brave alone… but weak and feeble minds in time past who today have amassed much wealth of the people can even take that road… I have seen slaves ride on horses whilst princes trod on feet… the irony of life is that the weak are the rulers and the strong are the ruled…

When they; the power brokers speak, they speak of peace and love, whilst their actions are a direct opposite of their utterances… in the quest for political, economic and social power, the electioneering campaigns are only but ramblings of empty souls… I will give you light, I will give you water… if you give me your vote, I will bring heaven here on earth… after the actors have taken over the stage, and the reverse becomes the case… the poor voters are doomed to their poverty.

The road to power in a third world like my society is only but a journey for the few privileged and this road they trek, they guard jealously like a mother hen guards her chicks… in my society, children of hitherto slaves are now the lawmakers, the executioners and the interpreters… the law is made to shield the rich and to punish the poor…

Along the road to power, integrity is only the ability to amass as much wealth as you can no matter the source and means… after all the end justifies the means… the means is only but casualties that are necessary for the attainment of the desired result…

How's your day?
Crime / ALUU 4: One Year After... by VincentAnointed(m): 10:35am On Oct 05, 2013
On this day in 2012, four promising young boys were brutally murdered in the most primitive way... Today I remember Tekena, Lloyd, Chidiaka and Ugonna... Especially Tekena... I remember how young and innocent he was when he came to Uniport when I was serving as a corper... Today we have all forgotten them, but the truth remains that if nothing is done to bring the people that committed this heinous crime to justice, this ugly trend will persist... Adiue Tekena, Ugonna, Lloyd and Chidiaka, victims of modern day cannibalism!
