A principle in jurisprudence has it that an unjust law is not a law. Another principle is that law without the legitimizing backing of morality might not be readily accepted.

Someone with a Viverean mindset would have opposed agitations for Nigeria's independence because at a point during the colonial era, it was 'illegal'.

Someone like you would also have opposed the US independence agitation because it was at a point 'illegal'. You would have cast aspersions on Washington, the first President of the US.

You would certainly have opposed Mahathma Ghandi's moves to make India independent because the colonial authorities declared it 'illegal'.

And yes, you would certainly have opposed Nelson Mandela.

You wonder why we are so passionate about legalizing businesses that should never have been declared illegal in the first place because you lack the milk of human kindness. As long as your stomach is filled with food you don't care if others are hungry. I pity those close to you because you seem to be someone without a heart for those that lack.

#NotToLateToGrowAHeart

Ah, another long rant from you!! Try not to kill yourself over this issue of illegal refiners. Show me the principle of jurisprudence that supports illegal refining of stolen crude. Maybe then, I will take you seriously.

I knew u would try to twist this whichever way u desire. I never called u names cos Hypocrite is what u are. I'm so sure the lady would have been wearing Hijab to classes throughout her studies and was never cautioned for her dress sense, why the sudden barrier. People like u will go to ur grave ignorant because u choose to live and die ignorant. U wanted proof, u got d proof but ur sorry head won't admit to knowing so much less than u boast u do. I pity ur condition. Over-inflated empty barrels everywhere. A piece of advice, always get ur facts correct before joining issues with others. I hope u will receive sense from here on.
Am not twisting anything. Hypocrisy runs in your veins which is why you are so ready to tag others with that silly label. Did Firdaus tell you she was ignorant of the proper mode of dressing for lawyers? Didn't she know that the head covering or hijab was not part of the prescribed dress code for lawyers, when she started studying law all the way to the law school?

As for the pictures you showed in your previous post, I was unaware that a Sikh judge or Sikh lawyers were allowed to wear turbans as part of their dress code to appear in court. So how can someone be tagged a hypocrite, on account of something he is totally unaware of?

Apart from that, I just learnt that Sikhs were allowed to wear their turbans as a result of a court ruling enacted in 2015. Does such a similar court ruling exist in Nigeria??

You are the one that needs to receive sense and stop twisting issues, o! Even Mariam Mukhtar Aloma who is a former Chief Justice of Nigeria from July 2012 to November 2014 and was called to the English Bar in November, 1966 did not wear a hijab under her lawyer's outfit to court, did she?

The first is British Sikh Judge Sir Rabinder Singh Promoted To The UK Court Of Appeal

The second is a lawyer also in UK

The third is also a UK judge among his colleagues judges.

Oya try talk ur way out of this, hypocrite.
These men are Sikhs. I didn't realise they were allowed to wear their turbans in court. I just saw an article now about how Sikh turbans were just allowed in the workplace in England, in 2015 following a court ruling. Does such a ruling exist in Nigeria? Kindly note that these Sikh men did not just show up in court one day, demanding to be given the right to wear their turban as part of their lawyer's uniform.

But the Muslim Lady Firdaus you are defending attended University of Jos and Law School Abuja, and never made a fuss about wearing her hijab under her wig and gown until the day she was called to bar. Was she unaware of the strict dress code for lawyers, when she enrolled to study law?

Why didn't she kick up a fuss when she started studying law or make a case for the adoption of the hijab as part of the lawyer's dress code, when she entered law school? She obviously likes needless controversy.

Maybe hypocrisy runs in your family, but not in mine. Like another respondent called Daboss stated earlier: "Ignorance, nay stupidity is when you say something about someone you don't even know on a faceless forum with so much conviction."

Now run along and go display your 'hypocrisy' somewhere else where it will be appreciated. No need for name calling. Maybe you are used to being a hypocrite, which is why you find it so easy to tag others as one. Thank you.

Last word: the EU court has ruled against such types of religious dressing. Quebec in Canada has also refused to allow the use of head coverings such as turbans in the workplace. Anyway, the UK is no longer part of the EU, is it? It might have had to reverse its decision, if not for Brexit.

Politicians on the right have welcomed a ruling by the EU’s highest court that allows companies to ban staff from wearing visible religious symbols, as a long-awaited legal judgment ricocheted into the French and Dutch election campaigns.

In its first decision on the issue of women wearing Islamic headscarves at work, the European court of justice in Luxembourg ruled the garments could be banned, but only as part of a general policy barring all religious and political symbols.

Even Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said the Federal Government would set up a few large (not mini) modular refineries that would employ the "illegal refiners" as consortiums.

He recognizes that the requirements for setting up modular refineries are too steep for the mini refiners who want to legalize their operations.

But people like you prefer to see the businesses of these entrepreneurs destroyed, rather than look for ways of making them contribute to the national economy in a wholesome manner. Cleanse yourself of tribalism, as can be seen in some of your previous 'contributions'.

Eewo! This matter dey pain you well, well o! Are you sure you are not one of those illegal refiners? I support entrepreneurs who do legitimate businesses, not the ones who break pipelines to steal crude and refine such stolen oil, illegally.

There is no tribalism in my cobtributions. If the illegal refiners come from my tribe, I would say the same thing. Illegal miners of solid minerals come from my tribe, and I have never supported them once. This is about what is right, and what is wrong!

Stop justifying illegitimate stealing and refining of crude. It says a lot about the kind of values you hold as a person. Oya, rant a bit more and release another long epistle!

I'm a product of the public uni system. And I agree with you. But sincerely, a huge part of the problem lies with the students. Because they do not pay much, they do not have a sense of ownership and also the need to maintain the environment where they study and live in. It's pathetic.

Wrong. sad Students in public universities do not have a sense of ownership, simply because of the way such public universities are run and the attention paid to students welfare. It has little or nothing to do with how much money such students pay as school fees. Even the amount you consider to be small, appears to be huge when you talk to indigent students from poor homes.

The private universities have a more hands on approach to their students. undecided It isn't possible in most private universities for a student to miss lectures for a month, without eyebrows being raised by all and sundry. But this can happen easily in a public uni and no lecturer would notice or be bothered, until it is time for tests and exams.

Private universities give their students more "close marking" than public ones.

What about Babcock? Their school of medicine is one of the very best in Nigeria. Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State recorded a milestone in 2015, when their own first heart surgery operation was performed in the institution’s Teaching Hospital, by its doctors. The operation lasted six hours. Hehehe.....hahaha....let us wait for his response. I was expecting to see the word "hijab" in black and white inside that verse. It only talks about how women should draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms).

The wig is more than enough to cover the hair. The white collar can also be pulled higher up to cover the neck. And the gown does a good job of covering the bosom. So what else is left??

That Firdaus girl was just making a mountain out of a molehill. She attended Unilorin and NLS Abuja campus. Why didn't she lead a protest there asking for the hijab to be incorporated into the lawyer's attire, way back then? Why did she wait until the day of the call to bar, before raising the issue? She likes needless controversy, jare.

Apart from free visa Kenya where else have you been to.?
Your response just confirmed that you are actually the one with "little senseless exposure," which is why you launched this tirade that made little sense.

I asked if you had been to Mombasa, Eldoret and Kisumu, after you had earlier lied that Nairobi was the only nice city in Kenya.

Instead of answering the question, you exposed your lack of understanding by citing unrelated issues. For your information, I went to Kenya and different countries in East Africa on business, and also toured South Africa, Namibia and other parts of Southern Africa as well. sad Each of these countries is beautiful, in their own way. They each have their high-brow areas, and their slums like every other nation in the world.

Hosting a world cup, is not an evidence of how beautiful or great a country is. Switzerland is one of the richest and most beautiful countries in the world, but had never hosted a world cup. So can you see how faulty your reasoning is?

It would take a while to list all the foreign countries in Europe, America and Asia that I have visited. My career takes me round the world, so getting a visa is not a problem in my line of work. It is little kids like you that get tripped by such things.

The 3rd option, is to start meeting single guys here. But she needs to have discarded the first two guys before she can proceed with this 3rd option.
