When am not sure, I talk to friends and family who are doctors or nurses to confirm before allowing him to be given anything. “The attention of the 82 Division Nigerian Army (NA), has been drawn to a silly and mischievous publication now trending on the social media alleging that the ongoing free medical services giving to some communities in the South Eastern Region of Nigeria is with a sinister motive of depopulating the region through the so called “monkey pox vaccination” purportedly being conducted by the NA in the region."

“The Division wishes to make it clear that the free medical outreach is not a vaccine intended to infect monkey pox or any major contemporary or emerging diseases in Nigeria to the people of South East or any part of the country."

“The exercise is part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives imbued in to the overall Exercise Egwu Eke 11 package, to the people of the South Eastern Region which is the Area of Responsibility of the 82 Division NA and is also the theatre of the Exercise.”

The statement continued: “Instructively, the free medical services in the region started on the 18th of September, 2017 in Nkwaagu community of Abakaliki Local Government Area (LGA) of Ebonyi State.

At the event, the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, the Chairman of the LGA and some traditional rulers of the benefiting community were there at the flag off of the exercise by the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General TY Buratai. “Other areas where the programme was conducted were Ovim in Isukwato LGA of Abia State, Mbaise in Imo State, ORJI River in Enugu and now Ozubulu in Anambra State."

“In all the mentioned areas, there has not been any recorded incident or complain of any kind arising from the noble humanitarian gesture of the NA. “Hence, the wicked, ill-motivated rumour/ lie is the handiwork of unpatriotic elements who can go to any length to discredit the noble services of the NA in the region, which at the moment they will not succeed.

How is it possible that the NNPC board that is mandated to supervise ALL the activities of the NNPC (which includes the NTB) will somehow have no say in the contracts that are to be executed by the same NTB?

Okay just what if by an impossible happenstance Baru was right all along. What would be his reason for still bypassing Kachikwu? If he was being fair-minded and open - why dodge Kachikwu and hide behind the NTB?

NNPCs response that Kachikwu nominated so and so or that he acted without a board is redundant hogwash because I already told you on that other thread that he was Minister and GMD (as there was no board in place) so he simply had to get approval from the president himself. But now that Baru has a Board in place that oversees his office why sideline that board?

And the input Baru was asked to get from Kachikwu concerned NNPC personnel changes, and not contracts. Osinbajo has NOT said he approved those contracts without seeing Kachikwu's input, has he? Also, the NNPC act made it possible for GMD NNPC to get approvals from either FEC or the Petroleum Minister or the President. The phrase Minister of State was never mentioned in the NNPC Act. This has been stated over and over.

Kachikwu that initially said he was sidelined with regards to contracts, has not come out openly to say that he didn't nominate 9 firms for crude oil contracts, after NNPC made its 2nd statement. That is why I keep telling you to go back and read everything again. With an open mind, if possible. Kachikwu has handled this whole thing badly, and it could backfire on him, if care is not taken.
