Politics / Re: Fuel Scarcity Continues As Depot Owners, NNPC Differ Over Debt. by Vivere: 11:54am On Dec 28, 2017
modik:
Where is the substantive Petroleum Minister sef?
Even Kachikwu that used to give free speeches in the press prior to the fuel scarcity, has suddenly become silent. When he was accusing Baru of awarding contracts without consulting him, he was releasing information regularly to the print and online media. He was more vocal than a parrot.

Now that there is fuel scarcity, he has suddenly gone into hiding. May thunder fire all those responsible for this hardship. Even those DAPPMA people are just making noise. Since last year, half of their members have been offering their empty depots for sale, to members of the public! Their bankers are on their necks. Now, to score higher in the cheap popularity scales, they are accusing NNPC of not giving them products, while NNPC too is reminding them of all the outstanding debts they owe.

Both of them are so unserious....

To dumb people like you, Igbo and IPOB are the same. The concept of Pro Nigeria Igbo is foreign to you.

Buhari till 2023. Igbo Presidency in 2023.
No need for name-calling, unless you want to tell us that the word "dumb" describes you rather well. You were here on NL, when your kinsmen were shouting Biafra or death, in response to Kanu's commands. Did you raise an objection? When some of us told them to tone down their rhetoric, they unleashed a volley of insults on us, our ancestors and tribes. They even insulted Joe Igbokwe their kinsman, who warned them against their hateful slogans. You did nothing, at that time. Now, that they have been roundly subdued, you are ranting that there is a difference between Igbo and IPOB.

It is not a bad initiative. You get the most information from the populace and also you best gauge feedbacks from the users. They DPR can't be everywhere. You have to consider the manpower and resources they also have and the number of stations/location they need to cover. As to also check the DPR field team, The phone will be another motivation, knowing anyone can report anything happening.
Oga, you have obviously not dealt with DPR before, which is why you cannot recognise the fact that they are playing to the gallery. Even simple requests for renewal of licenses which have been submitted online with hard copies placed on their desk, takes forever to approve. It takes them time to take action on matters directly under their noses, and you think they will perform miracles on this fuel scarcity issues? DPR's field officers that like to collect kickbacks? Don't mind them the Yorubas think they can eat their cake and have it back again. How can only the Lagos seaport be the only port that is functioning in Nigeria amongst numerous ports in the ss and se regions? They haven't seen anything yet in a couple of years from now an Igbo man will be elected as governor of Lagos and Ogun states.
Is Onne port in Lagos, too? Why can't you people stop envying Lagos and use Onne? Is Ogun state part of the SE towns and villages, too? So what makes you think an Igbo man will be elected as governor over there? What have you been sniffing, please?

I used to share this same sentiment for years. Just ignore them. But it's come to the point that they think they can normally do things like this, and when others do the same back to them it's "see, Yorubas/hausas hate us!". They think it's normal for them to do this, and abnormal for anyone else. So this year I've given up on that. They should be reciprocated with everything they dish out. That's the only way they can learn to behave better. They want to turn a legal dispute into a tribal one, so can everyone else. #boycottdiamond. They want to call other tribes negative names, then they are iyanmiris. They create this, Yorubas should create the Yoruba Indigene Rights Group. The time for turning the other cheek is over.

Don't mind them...the only card they know how to play is the "victim card." It is a strategy that has been passed down from generation to generation in their region.

I don’t understand what you are saying. What are the objectives of the group and does it have merit? I won’t argue with you or any igbo because all igbos want to do is torture their supposed enemies.

I await your response because I don’t understand your post.

The purpose of the group is just to create a nuisance of themselves and try to arm-twist the state govt for free donations. End of story. Their story sounds so fishy. They complained of "non-recognition." What do they mean by that? Non-recognition in what sense? They failed to define it.

They also complained of multiple taxation. Is it only non-indigenes that are subject to multiple taxation, while the indigenes are exempted? They have not told us the true story. Issues of taxation are expected to be addressed through professional bodies, or via the lawyers or accountants whose brief is to prepare the accounts of their companies, or the individual being taxed.

What else? Ah yes, these non-indigenes are expected to be the non-Yoruba people. I know they will soon start speaking in tongues within the group shortly, and the centre will soon scatter, among them.

Otherwise, what does the Gwari truck driver, the Edo teacher or Hausa trader and the Onitsha spare parts dealer have in common, that will lead them to ignore the platform of their own existing cultural or business associations or trade groups, and then embark upon forming another different group called Non Yoruba Indigenes Empowerment Initiatives (NYIEI) in Ogun State? Don't worry, the true purpose of the group will soon be exposed by the members themselves, in a short while.... sad I wish them luck!

PS: Should we now expect Non-Isoko Indigenes Empowerment Initiatives (NIIEI) in Delta State, or Non-Igbo Indigenes Empowerment Initiatives (NIIEI) in Anambra, IMO, Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia States, or Non-Hausa or Non-Arewa Indigenes Empowerment Initiatives (NHIEI) in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Gombe, Bauchi, Jigawa and other Northern States?? Which one?

Listen to yourself. You sound so ridiculous. Where is it written that a woman MUST accept a proposal made by a guy? Is it by force? shocked Did you read it anywhere inside the story, that she had another boyfriend? Did it occur to you, that she may simply not have wanted to marry the guy, because he lacked some of the qualities or good behaviours she wanted in a prospective husband, and NOT because she had any other boyfriend? Or is having another boyfriend the only reason for a woman to turn down a man's proposal?

And did the guy TELL her beforehand that he was going to buy a ring and propose to her publicly? Or did you just make up that part of the story? I can't even believe that some myopic morons gave you likes for that childish post you made. undecided

Celebrities / Re: Olu Jacobs Joins Instagram At 75 by Vivere: 2:03pm On Dec 25, 2017
Threebear:

The Oxford dictionary should remove "stupidity " and replace your name with it.
Where did I wish him evil ,are you daft or are you making a special effort to appear so.
I said compared to his white agemates, that he is still hale and hearty and even operating instagram. That the black man is strong.
Any body with a thinking faculty knows visions starts depreciating at 60 .Reason why most older people wear glasses to read. This is something that will happen to everyone, you inclusive, if you mind your business enough to live that long. Asking if his vision is clear enough is not an insult, rather a statement of fact. Knowing the brightness of instagram lights and filters are sensitive to the optical nerve, and can be particularly harmful to the eyes of an aged man.
Clearly you have nothing on your head.
Advance yourself in knowledge, use more logic and less sentiment.
Tsk

All the insults you dish out online will not wipe away the fact that "stupidity" is your middle name. sad It is that stupidity that led you to compare him with those in a nursing home, out of all the comparisons anyone can make about a person. You chose to use a "nursing home" as your own example. Can you see why the word "stupidity" which you used earlier, applies so well to you?

Next, you asked if his eye sight was still clear, which was nothing, but a sly dig. Again, you exhibited that "stupidity" you love so much. Any other person with a sensible outlook on life, would not have made such derisive insinuations about his eyesight. It was in poor taste. sad

No problem. If you feel the remarks you made about Olu Jacobs were good, may others make such comments about you, and ask why you are not in a nursing home, and also make inquiries about your poor eyesight. End of story. undecided

Till now I haven't understand what you are trying to say

Lemme summaries mine

I said,No one is perfect

If u have a cheating partner, stick and emit some behavior that will make him/her to reduce or stop the cheat than just leaving since you don't know who next you r abt to Date

So...you what are you trying to say,,,

That your neighbor contacted that virus due to her ignorance, sorry 4 that...now tell me,,do u,want to tell,me that her husband was her 1st date or mayb she hasn't come across any, other cheat apart from him?
Until you stop supporting deviant behaviour like cheating, you will not understand what I am trying to say. Weren't you taught how to make sense of things in school? Continue to support evil deeds like cheating, and see where it will land you.

My neighbour never had HIV until she married her husband. She has one child. Before their marriage, she did HIV test and she was negative. Even when she went on her job assignment, she was told to do the test again as it was compulsory, and she was still negative.

After she got married, she became pregnant 2 years later, and went for ante-natal. That was when she did the test the 3rd time and was positive. She confronted her husband and he admitted he had the virus. So can you understand the whole story now? Her cheating husband infected her!
