Politics / Trouble Chairman Aguiyi Ironsi Int. Market Ladipo. “alert” As Opposition Group by VONN50: 4:05pm On Sep 07
TROUBLE

CHAIRMAN AGUIYI IRONSI INT. MARKET LADIPO. “ALERT
AS OPPOSITION GROUP STIRS TROUBLE IN AGUIYI IRONSI MARKET

Chairman, Aguiyi Ironsi International Market Traders Association, Ladipo, Mushin, Lagos State, Chief Chukwuma Onyebinanma, has raised concerns about a factional group's alleged attempts to disrupt the market's election.

Onyebinanma, popularly known as Ikukuoma, said the factional group had refused to buy into measures put in place by the leadership of the market to ensure the smooth running of the election and security in the market.
Rather the group led by Chief Kelechi Oputa, (A k A babaooo) , was alleged to be fabricating lies of violent attack, against Onyebinanma, with a view to tarnishing his image and good will towards the development of the market.

To further champion its sinister motive, the opposition group in a petition by Uchenna Eze, popularly called baba Ido,
addressed to Police accused the leadership of the association of conspiring to disenfranchise them and manipulate the upcoming election.
The duo and one Izuchukwu ikeuba ( izunik)further alleged that the Onyebinanma-led government imposed it on members of the association that only those with identity cards would be allowed entrance to attend meetings held by the association and to vote in the upcoming election.
However, the plans by policemen who were deceived by opposition faction,to whisk Onyebinanma to Abuja, was truncated following an intervention of Police authorities who got wind of the plan and directed Onyebinanma to be allowed to report in Abuja at a convenient time.
Also, at the meeting between both parties and detectives of the IRT in Abuja, the opposition group was told to comply with measures put in place to ensure peace and stability in the market.
Both parties were advised to go and settle the matter amicably, especially as election was around the corner.
Preliminary investigation into the matter also showed that allegation of injuries on some purported traders were false.
While the opposition group showed video clip of a member of the association's task force holding a cutlass, the video , the authenticity of its proof that it was used on one of the opposition group was questioned, following the group's inability to provide full clip of the video showing what warranted such action .
Again, the video evidence was said not to have shown where the cutlass was used to harm anyone..
It was also gathered that a trader whose picture was displayed before the police as one of those injured during the August 18,2024 alleged clash, had no business with the matter at hand.
When cocontacted Onyebinanma clarified that the decision to use membership identity cards as a valid means of allowing members to vote was made to prevent harassment and intimidation. He explained that the association had agreed to have a database for the market, and members had been paying annual dues and receiving identity cards. Onyebinanma emphasized that only members with identity cards would be allowed to vote in the upcoming election, adding that rather than key into the decision reached by the association, the factional group had been trying to disrupt the meeting and had petitioned the police, leading to his detention and release.

According to him: "When my administration took over, it was agreed during the general meeting to have a database for the market because that is one area we have been having a problem. We did that in one month. Again, it was agreed during one of the meetings that we should adhere to the constitution, which states that what makes one a full member of the association is for one to pay their N200 monthly dues, which amounts to N2,400 annually. When we were debating if we should pay for identity cards or not, the general house said we should use the money from the annual dues to give members their identity cards. In September 2023, I told members to pay their annual dues and get their identity cards. A grace of four months was given to members to pay, and they were told that whoever did not pay by January 2024 would not be allowed to attend the meeting of February 2024, which would be for only members of the association. Everyone was reminded from last year September to January, and by February, the meeting was held peacefully. So were those of the months of March, April, and May. There was no meeting in the month of June, but in July, as we were about to hold the meeting, we got information that our opposition held a meeting overnight to disorganize our meeting.

"I hinted the taskforce chairman not to allow anyone without an identity card into the meeting. After the meeting, I heard there was a problem outside the gate. I was told the opposition group stormed there, armed with dangerous objects. When they tried to empower our security and task force, one of the taskforce officials disarmed one of them and used the cutlass to scare them away." He insisted that no member of the opposition was injured as alleged by the members. He added that the photograph of the reported man published was fabricated, saying "he (man in the picture) expressed surprise when he saw his picture in the newspaper (Punch)." He added that he got an invitation from the CP Tactical unit in Surulere and the Intelligence Response Unit, Abuja, over an allegation of harassment and intimidation against him and some members of the association's taskforce. However, the Police, according to him, told both sides to resolve their differences and allow peace to reign in the market.

Also throwing his weight behind the use of membership cards as a means to vote in the upcoming election, the immediate past Chairman of the association, Mr. Azuke Muogbo, said it was the only way to ensure a free and fair election. He said: "The reason for this whole issue is that the election is around the corner. It is a power tussle. They are fighting against the use of membership cards for election, whereas members of the association have agreed to use it, so as to ensure that only members vote on that day. During my predecessor's tenure, we had a similar issue. Each election committee we constituted always complained about the need to have this card, which members are supposed to present on election day."

"The Local Government Chairman also complained about the two years tenure in office. This made us amend our constitution, and the three-year tenure has been passed into law. The opposition agreed. But they don't want to accept this membership card as a yardstick for voting. This is because during the election, contestants go round and get traders in Ladipo to cast their votes, and this has been a major problem."

"Since there is a database, which means only members of this market will be allowed to vote. I don't want to be partisan. I want to speak as a stakeholder; we want peace in the market, and because we want peace, let us use our membership cards to cast votes. If the present Chairman has done well and is voted by the people, let him go back for a second tenure, and if he has not, let the people decide who to rule them. For us to get it right this time around, the association insists that only those with membership cards should be allowed to vote," he stated.

Crime / Breaking; Enugu Youths Denounce Traditional Ruler, Others Over N20m Govt Grant by VONN50: 9:08pm On Aug 14
Breaking;

ENUGU YOUTHS DENOUNCE TRADITIONAL RULER, OTHERS OVER N20M GOVT GRANT

The Youths from Nkpologu community in Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu State, yesterday, alerted Governor Peter Mbah over the misappropriation of N20m given to the community by his predecessor for the provision of electricity in their town alleging that their traditional ruler and others misappropriated the money.
The youths who spoke in the back drop of earlier call on the governor to stop the nomination of one of their sons as a LG chairman said it became pertinent to expose their ruler based on his stand over the raging issue.

According to a statement released by the leader of the youths in Enugu, Cyprain Chukwuka, former Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi graciously released N20m during his era to our traditional ruler, Simeon Idu and others to provide electricity to our town but they brazenly.misappropriated the money and woefully failed to accomplish the task.

" We appealed to them severally to provide electricity which our town never had but they connived with the contractor and dished out bribes to some of our town union leaders and they continued to oppress us.
"We then took the case up with the government and police but all our efforts to either recover the money or make them provide the much needed electricity failed because they continued using some fraudulent people in government to thwart our genuine efforts to give electricity to our long suffering people. At a stage, they started threatening to jail all of us but somehow, we survived their threats. They were even boasting openly that the matter will be closed permanently as soon as then Governor Ugwuanyi leaves office.

"We were planning to notify our new able governor, Peter Mbah of the atrocities of our traditional ruler and others when the issue of our son who was slated to me chairman of our Local government came up.
This traditional ruler and his partners in crime are now devilishly using this opportunity to denounce our honest and genuine cry for justice over the killing of one of us believing that if governor hearkens to our cry, they will be exposed."

He further stated that they are using this medium to cry out because they have nobody to reach out to the governor for them adding that if they had been able to get any genuine and trusted spokespersons to deliver their anger to the governor, they would not have resorted to publicising their grievances. "The youths in their voices said they massively voted for Governor Peter Mbah and we are very happy with his achievements so far in office. We are not indicting him but pointing areas where he should straighten in continuation of his commendable records which is well know to us and we will never relent in supporting him, "he stated.

Events / *afree, A New Brand Of Messaging App Like Whatsapp, Twitter And Facebook Which I by VONN50: 8:08pm On Jul 31
*AFREE, A NEW BRAND OF MESSAGING APP LIKE WHATSAPP, TWITTER AND FACEBOOK WHICH IS SOLELY AFRICA HAS BEEN LAUNCHED IN NIGERIA*

Africa is not left out in the IT and Tech World as a new brand intended to be for Africans and represents everything Africa has been launched and pride to stay as it promises to compete with other social media messaging apps like whatsapp, Twitter and Facebook. The app is designed for Africans. According to the National coordinator of AFREE, THE Dr Joshua Orabiyi, AFREE is an acronym representing five major objectives of the application which are:

A: Assist: Main mission is to help people become more independent, free and educated.
F: Finance: Committed to improving the financial wellbeing of users.
R: Reward: Rewarding those who are committed to growth, learning and self-improvement, but lack the means to do so. E: Empower: Empowering people to freely express their opinions as long as it does not conflict with the law and ethical standards. E: Educate: Providing access to new knowledge, skills and careers.

The National coordinator said that, AFREE is unique from other social networks because of its focus on people's benefit. The application provides an independent platform for information and expression without the risk of censorship. All the necessary functions such as: watching videos, sending messages, making calls and advertising - are combined in one application.

AFREE was created to unite everyone in Africa on one platform, freeing them from total censorship and giving them a voice. We are also helping to improve lives, business development and learning, ultimately promoting unity, equality and prosperity on the continent.

Furthermore, he said, all user data is encrypted and stored on servers but for security reasons, further information will not be provided.

Dr Joshua Orabiyi said the creation of AFREE was a response to the total censorship of existing social networks and media, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic and they wanted to help people who want to learn, develop and create businesses, but do not have the opportunity to do so.

He said the rationale for the failure of many African social media networks is against the backdrop of their inability to provide real value. AFREE proposes to improve the financial situation of users by monetising within the app. Part of the advertising revenue will be used to support small and medium sized businesses within the app, and the AFREE coins received can be used for advertising campaigns and the purchase of training materials.

With regards to the subscribers, he said about 10 million users are targeted and plans are underway to have more.

After this launching in Nigeria, he said the next step will be to open offline stores in Nigeria to sell our own mobile phones and tablets that are specifically designed to work perfectly with the app. We are carefully selecting components to ensure that the devices are as compatible with the software as possible and are reasonably priced. Next, we plan to expand into other African countries and are currently in discussions with almost every country on the continent. The event was attended by other personalities such as: Mr. Otayemi Oluwaseun who represented the honorable commissioner for youths and social development.. Lagos State, Dr. Alakija Temitope, a senior lecturer of Statistics at Yaba College of Technology and Mr. Seun Dakota, media and publicity, AFREE Nigeria amongst others.

Technology Market / Association Of Nursery And Primary Education Instructors In Nigeria Anpein by VONN50: 10:03am On Jun 17
DELIVERED SPEECH TO MARK 2024 AFRICA CHILD DAY,

In his speech he started with acknowledgement of all protocols the event which took place at National Secretariat of ANPEIN to celebrate the resilience, potential, and future of our continent embodied in our children. As the National President of the Association of Nursery and Primary Education Instructors in Nigeria (ANPEIN), it is both an honor and a responsibility to address you on this significant day..
President Sunday Fowowe, said the Theme for this year's African Child Day, *Investing in Education for a Sustainable Future*," resonates deeply with our mission at ANPEIN. Education is the bedrock upon which societies build their progress, and investing in the education of our children is investing in the future prosperity of our nation and continent.
Nigeria, as a nation, has made strides in recent years to improve access to education. However, challenges remain, especially in the quality of education provided at the foundational levels of nursery and primary education. According to recent reports by UNESCO, Nigeria still faces significant gaps in ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all children, especially those in marginalized communities (UNESCO, 2022).
As educators and stakeholders in the field of early childhood and primary education, it is incumbent upon us to advocate for policies that prioritize education funding, teacher training, and infrastructure development. These are essential elements in bridging the educational divide and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, receives a quality education.
Research from the Brookings Institution emphasizes the critical importance of early childhood education in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and development (Brookings Institution, 2023). Therefore, initiatives aimed at improving early childhood education are not just investments in the present but crucial steps towards building a sustainable future.
At ANPEIN, we are committed to supporting our members—educators and instructors across the country—in their professional development and in advocating for policies that benefit our children. *Through workshops, training programs, and collaborative efforts with government and non-governmental organizations*, we strive to enhance teaching methodologies, promote inclusive education practices, and create safe and nurturing learning environments for our children.
On this African Child Day, let us renew our commitment to ensuring that every child in Nigeria has access to quality education. Let us work together to eliminate barriers that prevent children from learning and thriving. Let us empower our educators with the tools and resources they need to inspire and educate the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
In closing, I urge all stakeholders—associations , government bodies, civil society organizations, parents, and communities—to join hands in prioritizing education as a fundamental human right and a pathway to sustainable development. *Together, we can build a brighter future for our children and for Africa*

Crime / The Family Of Inspector Sunday Peter's Have Appealed To The Inspector - General by VONN50: 10:20pm On May 19
The family member of Inspector Sunday Peters a police officer with the rapid response squad at Alausa - Ikeja, Lagos have requested the Inspector General of Police to carry out a thorough investigation into the death of their brother.

The family members are not satisfied with the reasons adjured for the death of their brother, hence their demand for the real cause of their brother's death.

A sister to the police officer recount how she was called and told the brother was sick only to hear from the wife of the brother that the brother was dead after an hour to when she was first called.

In similar development, the junior brother to the deceased officer also said he received a call between the hours of 7am and 8am that he had to come to Ikotun police station, upon knowing the rationale for requesting his presence at the police station is when he was told that his brother is dead. On getting to the police station he was told the brother has been taken to mortuary at Maryland hospital in Yaba.He was surprised that how can someone who just died be taken to the mortuary without allowing any member of the family to see the corpse. He was also not allowed to see the dead body.
In trying to find out from the police the cause of the death, the brother said that on that fateful day, his brother - inspector Sunday Peters was on a patrol with the squad around Falomo- Ikoyi. According to the Police, they said Inspector Sunday Peters told them he was not feeling too well that he had to go to the hospital, that he even walk down to the hospital himself. They claimed that the police clinic/hospital at Falomo demanded for 100k naira before treatment can commenced. In trying to sort out how the money can be made available, was when the Doctor told them that Inspector Sunday Peters was dead.

Furthermore, the eldest sister to Inspector Sunday Peters, Mrs, Gloria said on the very day, his brother was not sick, but was healthy enough to go to work only to be shocked that his brother is dead.

They whole scenario pertaining to the death of their brother is confusing and difficult for them to believe, hence they have requested the Inspector General of police to step in and help them in knowing the full details of what caused their brother's death.

Pertinent questions begging for answers are: Why will the Police hospital /clinic demand for 100k naira as deposit from a police officer in uniform before treatment can be commenced on him.

Why should the dead body of the Officer be embalmed without allowing the family members to see the dead body.

That so far, why hasn't any member of the Rapid response squad and the police pay visit to the family to console with them and explain to them the true cause of death.
The family want the Inspector General of Police to use his good office to provide them justice.

Career / Be More Aware Of Your Environment, An Editor (mr Kingsley) Urges The I.t Staff by VONN50: 7:05am On May 20, 2023
BE MORE AWARE OF YOUR ENVIRONMENT, AN EDITOR (MR KINGSLEY) URGES THE I.T STAFF REPORTER DURING AN EDITORIAL LECTURE AND INTERACTIVE SESSION

Mr. Kingsley, one of the editors of Voice Out Nigeria News (VONN) an online and print media house had an editorial lecture and interaction session with the I.T Staff Reporters from Global Wealth University, Togo on Thursday the 18th of May, 2023.

He started his teaching with who an editor is and the roles and responsibilities of an editor. He made mention that an editor arranges, organizes, rearranges, condenses and shortens a news or story without striking out the important issues in the news.

"An editor must have the ability to make decision on his/her own concerning the piece (news) given to him. He/she must posses the managerial skills and have the ability to correct errors in a news"

He also told the I.T Staff reporter that a reporter is the one who is responsible for the delivering of updates and analyses current happenings with the main goal/aim of keeping the public aware of such happenings.

"A reporter creates news or stories through different channels or avenues which are: television, radio, newspapers, magazine and many more"

He also told them about the different kind of reporters which are the investigative, crime, education, health, sport, entertainment, political, fashion and religious reporter. He buttressed more on the investigative reporter; he told them that he/she must ensure that he/she gets a full information about a news or story and such reporter unveils conceived news or events.

He urged the I.T Staff to be on their toes and work effectively and effeciently as they pay more attention to their environment. It's the environment that is their news source and he advised them to touch all the areas of reporting as an upcoming reporter and later in the future get to choose a single kind as an area of specialization because each kind is volumerous.

He trashed out the fact that not all news are news because they are bad during the cause of his teachings. Bad events doesn't define a news. Simply because it trend more and teaches the people to be on a look out doesn't make it a news.

"News shouldn't be bad before it's been called a news."

He taught them on how to write a news or story and concluded the teaching with what a breaking news is all about.

"A breaking news is an event or a news that just happened. A news which is yet to be concluded"

He also gave the I.T Staff Reporter the opportunity to air out their challenges after ending the editorial lecture.

Health / We Save Life Before Any Other Thing "Our Oath" Dr Bassey Nwabor Of Elshaddai Hos by VONN50: 4:21pm On May 09, 2023
WE SAVE LIFE BEFORE ANY OTHER THING "OUR OATH"
DR BASSEY NWABOR OF ELSHADDAI HOSPITAL

The Medical Director of El Shaddai Hospital situated at KM 4, LASU Isheri Road, Iyana School Bus Stop, Iba, Lagos, Dr. Bassey Nwabor by name urged the government especially the incoming president, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve the medical practicing condition of our nation, Nigeria in order to help the doctors and nurses work efficiently and effectively. He made mention of some areas the government should see into like the increment of doctors salary, the environmental factors like water, electricity should improve and most especially they should decrease the tax levied on doctors.

In order to reduce the rate of Nigerian doctors leaving the country and Nigerians travelling abroad to get treated, he urged the government to also provide a good health care infrastructure.

Dr. Bassey went further in advising the private doctors to also remember that their job is a humanitarian job. They should rise in all their might and strength to help the government in the health care system.

He urged them to reduce the bills and attend to the people (patients) with so much care.

“Let’s not chase them away with our bills”

He also advised them to remember that life should always come first.

“Let us remember our oath. We save life before anything. We cannot recover life but money can always be recovered.”

He also talked about the important roles played by the auxiliary and registered nurses in the health system.

“They are both important in the system because the auxiliary nurse cannot do it all while the registered nurse cannot also do it all. Whereas, to maintain the registered nurse can be so expensive, so we use the trained/auxiliary nurse to complement each other in order to improve the system”

Dr. Bassey encouraged the great Nigerians especially the masses to know their health status and register in a registered hospital irrespective of the economic status of the nation because health is wealth.

The President of Ambassadors For Peace And Enlightenment Foundation (AMPEF), Comrade Prince Saviour Iche congratulated Abia state's Governor elect, Dr. Alex Otti for his victory at the concluded gubernatorial election at Abia state.

He lamented badly about the bad governance in Abia state and made mention of leaders who will promise youth empowerment and forget about all they have promised they will do in their manifestoes during their campaign which other states are not exempted.

"It is so bad that a youth who is graduate empowered himself with a skill because of unemployment. For example a barbing skill, and at the end uses his little profit on fuel because of the instability of power supply"

He knows he will resume the office with so much debt to pay but he shouldn't give room for laxity at all but apply his skill and knowledge as a Nigerian economist, banker and investor.

"Do not put the Abians to shame because they have solely trusted you by voting you massively"

He advises him not to take the privilege for granted because the Abians have massively voted him due to the fact that they needed a good governance and a better Abia state. He also advised him to aim beyond other leaders who saw building of road as an achievement and build a better Abia r. Alex Otti, I advice to set up an investigating body that will be able to analyse every penny spent by the outgoing Governor, Dr. Okozie Ikpeazu.

NSUKKA PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION (NPA) MET WITH THE PRESS OVER THE ALARMING RATE OF VIOLENCE AND WIDESPREAD OF ELECTORAL MALPRACTICES.

The Nsukka, Professional Association (NPA), a non partisan and a very important stakeholder in Enugu State met with the Media in Lagos State where they call the attention to some developments in Enugu State that if left unattended to might plunge the state into a needless orgy of violence and lawlessness in the build up to the Gubernatorial and the state Assembly elections.
Some of these disturbing developments are:

The Unresolved high profile alleged assassination like the brutal assassination of the Labour party candidate for Enugu East senatorial district in the days preceding the February 25th, 2923 elections by individuals who are yet to be apprehended. The IGP is implored to dispatch special team of detectives to Enugu state with a mandate to seek out and apprehend all those directly and indirectly involved with this heinous crime irrespective of who they are or their connection..
The NPA have announced the donation of one million naira to the family if the assassinated politician.

There is credible reports of plans by desperate politicians in Enugu state to compromised key officials of INEC, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Army and other security agencies in Enugu state with a view to frustrate the conduct of a free , fair and credible elections

There are credible reports about plans by one political party to disrupt elections in part of Enugu state which are considered as the strongholds of other political parties, notably is the Isi Uzo local government area and the six local government areas that make up Enugu North Senatorial zone and consequently disenfranchise voters in these areas..

There are also reports that some politicians have plans to import armed thugs and cultists into Enugu North senatorial zone, who will disguised in police uniforms and Army Uniforms so as to terrorize and cause mayhem.

There is also reports of plans to hack the BVAS and IREV by professional hackers contracted by one of the political parties.

The expediency to raising this disturbing alarm from the information mentioned above cannot be downplayed and therefore call the attention of the President, Mohammed Buhari, The IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, the Chief of Staff, Gen.Lucky Irabor, the INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, the international community and good Nigerians in ensuring that these dangers are averted and the good people of Enugu state enjoy real democracy.

In the light of the aforementioned, we considered it as a matter of urgency to call on the security agencies and INEC to pay special attention to Enugu state and ensure quick action is taken with a view to ascertaining the authenticity of the information and if true, to arrest and prosecute all those that are involved.
Call is also made to INEC to strengthen its election administrative machinery in Enugu state ahead of the March, 18th Governorship/State Assembly elections as well as the bye-election for the senatorial seat of Enugu East.

The association further appeal to parents and guardians in Enugu state to restrain their wards from allowing them to be used by politicians for thuggery and violent conducts before and during the election.
The good people of Enugu state were also appealed to come out en-mass to vote for the candidate of their choice and should trust the security agencies and Federal Government of the promised security.
Appeals was also made to the politicians and supporters to place the interest of the people of Enugu state Paramount and approach the elections as a contest among the same family of Enugu state and recognize that there will always be winners and losers. The loser will always have a chance to contest again after four(4) years and perhaps might win thereafter.

The media/press are expected to be present at Enugu North senatorial zone to cover the forthcoming election and affirm that the NPA has promise to provide all necessary support for them to be on ground.

The Director of News
…………………………….

PRESS RELEASE

2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: USE OF DOGS, OTHER PETS AT POLLING UNITS CRIMINAL, CONDEMNABLE-NPF

The Nigeria Police Force has deemed it necessary to educate and caution Nigerians on the use of pets, especially, dogs, at the polling units on election day, as such act runs contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022, as amended.

The provision of Section 126 (1) of the Electoral Act. 2022, explains clearly those actions exhibited by electorates that constitute electoral breaches and are punishable under the law, and paragraph (f) mentions possession of weapons calculated to intimidate voters and electoral officers. Dogs could be classed as offensive weapons as their owners/handlers can use them to intimidate, harass and cause assault and bodily harm to others. The Dogs Act, CAP 55 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1958 as domesticated in various States, and other Criminal Laws in Nigeria are trite.

The conceived ideas and plans by certain individuals, electorates, and groups of people to go to the polls accompanied by pets are unacceptable, stand discouraged, and remain an act of electoral infraction as it will cause harassment and intimidation.

The Nigeria Police Force, therefore, warns those who intend to display their pets, dogs specifically, for whatever purpose, at the polling units, to desist as such constitutes a violation of the electoral Act, 2022, as amended, and other extant laws.

Politics / Speak Up Nigeria (usa) Called For Cancellation Of 2023 Presidential Election!! by VONN50: 6:47pm On Mar 03, 2023
SPEAK UP NIGERIA (USA) CALLED FOR CANCELLATION OF 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!!

The convener for speak up Nigeria (USA), Ambassador Steve Nwose has called on the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) to cancel the 2023 Presidential election in Nigeria.

The rationale for the call for cancellation is against the backdrop of gross irregularities in the election, the unpalatable outcome of what was witnessed and seen on social media and the trending incidents.

It is on record that INEC promised to conduct a free and fair election, then transmit the election result electronically,
INEC also said that in a situation where the number of discarded votes will have impact to the outcome of the result that such election will be cancelled.

The election was not free nor fair.
There was mass rigging.
The election was characterized with ballot snatching and violence.
Voters were beaten and not allowed to votes by thugs of the opposition.
There were no electoral materials and people were not allowed to vote in some areas.

Inspire of all these irregularities, INEC went ahead to release/announce such results that wasn't free nor fair neither the choice of the people.

INEC was unable to meet with their promise to Nigerians. INEC could not release the result electronically and promptly thereby giving room for the election's result to be tinted/altered.

The convener further said is a shame for those who voted for the candidate of the APC and PDP knowing fully well that they are not worthy candidate just because they were given few dollars or Naira. That these politicians children are abroad receiving the best medical care and education yet their future and those of their children are being sold for another four(4) years if not eight (cool years.

Shame also goes to the Professors and Vice chancellors who partook in corrupting the electoral process. That as intellectual they should have known better.

They convener condemned Wike the Governor of River states for his sinister act, that him and his cohorts will reap what they have sown .

Furthermore, the Convener called on the president, Mohammadu Buhari who promised to conduct a free and Fair election to cancel the election because it was not free nor fair and consequently should give due consideration in the light of the irregularities and called for a re-run in the next couple of weeks

Crime / Unlawful Demolition Of Building Property In Lagos Owner"s Demand For Justice. by VONN50: 10:17pm On Feb 21, 2023
Mr Akin Saka and Mr Kayode the victims of demolished building, called for quick intervention of Lagos State governor, his Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu
to investigate the activities of
One Mr.Adeboye of the Lagos state building control agency (LASBCA) who led the demolition squad with other official of the agency and some Nigerian policemen.

The demolished property belongs to one Mr. Akin Saka and Mr.Kayode who both bought properties as neighbours in 2021 and built on the said property and have consequently lived in the property spanning 18years and 22years respectively. During these years they have lived in the property, they have enjoyed peaceful possession of their property without any disturbances or form of harassment nor has anyone laying claims to the property until February, 2021 when they were served with a 7 days quit notice to vacate the property by the Lagos state building control agency.
Aghast and with curiosity to know the rationale for the quit notice and intended demolition, both Mr. Akin and Mr Kayode decided to go to the ministry of physical planning and environment, Alausa to get some answers but was told a lawyer representing the owner of the property petitioned the agency for trespass.
A meeting was fixed for both parties aimed at peaceful resolution. The meeting held on April,2021 and was presided by one Mr Ajibade of the Lagos state building control agency.
There was no amicable resolution by both parties as the the petitioner who claimed to be the Owner of the property insisted on demolition while the respondent Mr.Akin and Mr.Kayode insisted they go to court for redress.
Unfortunately, on the 8th of November, 2022, the property was demolished by the Lagos state building control agency (LASBCA) led by one Mr.Adeboye with other officers and policemen without any court order.
The lawyer representing the petitioner (Alleged owner) was approached but denied knowing anything about the demolition even the team leader Mr Adeboye who led the demolition also denied having knowledge of the demolition when called to confirm his action.
The Lagos state ministry of physical planning and environment and the Lagos state Attorney General but there was was called to no response.
Our appeal is therefore made to the Lagos state Governor, Mr.Babajide Sanwo Olu to use his good office to investigate and grant justice to the victims whose property have been unlawfully demolished and no caution/reprimand for those using the power of government to oppress and dehumanized citizens.

Education / ANPEIN Celebrate Teachers Day With The Rest Of The World by VONN50: 12:24pm On Oct 05, 2021
ASSOCIATION OF NURSERY AND PRIMARY EDUCATION INSTRUCTORS IN NIGERIA ( ANPEIN) JOINS THE REST OF THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE ALL TEACHERS AND OTHER GATEKEEPERS IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN .

@VNNEWS

*Preamble*
He who opens a school and employs right teachers closes the doors to prison !
No doubt ,in the last one year ,our understanding of teaching and learning and the conditions under which a professional teacher teaches has significantly changed .Teachers now work *under the new normal scheme* , they now wear many hats before they can significantly influence the learners .
New methods ,strategies , dress codes , disposition to teaching and the teaching profession have evolved and occur at a break neck speed ..Most teaching is now being done online using different ICT tools and devices. It is only the willing that can catch up ! Many things have changed ,all products in the market , rents ,bills and other ultility have ridiculously increased and yet ONLY TEACHERS'S SALARIES HAVE NOT INCREASED BECAUSE PARENTS AND GUARDIANS HAVE NOT FULLY RECOVERED FROM THE PAINS OF COVID 19! WHAT CAN WE DO TO SALVAGE THIS SITUATION ?
It is glaring without any iota of exaggeration, that education with capital E has become a tall order as most teachers have resigned to look for a greener pasture leaving the innocent and our future leaders in disarray. The pandemic of corona virus has forced many practitioners including school owners to opt out of teaching and running of school because of the suffering they experienced during the lock down ..Many teachers were not paid for nine months leaving them and their families in serious agony .The agony that led some to abandon the teaching profession till date .
And without teachers in right quality and quantity , our educational system may not recover easily from the agony created by the lock down .
It is more glaring too that, there is a crisis in the world educational system and it can only be confronted by qualified teachers *and where are they now?*
Perhaps ,that is why this year's theme of world teachers' day is tagged *TEACHERS AT THE HEART OF EDUCATION RECOVERY*..The theme is apt because of the fact that ,the world is dealing with a major crisis which can only be ameliorated by the teachers and
*understanding Teachineering processes* as one of the surest ways to survive the post Covid era is what every teacher needs . Teachers ,ever than before , need to be re profiled and be equipped with coping mechanism that make them RECOVER ALL THAT MUST HAVE BEEN LOST IN TERMS OF KNOWLEDGE AND OTHER CONNECTED ISSUES.. As the current classrooms contain the future Presidents, Governors , Ministers ,PROVOST's, Vice -chancellors etc , the knowledge of yesterday is no longer enough to teach today's children .
Knowing fully well that ,nurturing these future leaders especially during the post COVID ERA requires special knowledge and *such knowledge should be looked for even if it in China*
Our association seizes the euphoria of this celebration to appeal to Government , School owners , and other Gatekeepers to double up their efforts and interest in teachers by making their welfare a top priority in their decision .
Once again , I join other well wishers to celebrate teachers in whatever name ,they are called on the occasion of World Teachers Day .
As long as you still remain in the chalk and talk business, you deserve my honour .

NOT A MASQUERADE BUT ENEMIES ATTACKED ALADO'S RESIDENCE- Spokesman

@VONNEWS

In view of the recent attack on the residence of a prominent community leader, Chief Alh.Taoreed Faronbi(Alado), by suspected hoodlums allegedly financed by one Amoo, his spokesman has cleared the air.

According to the spokesman, eternal enemies of Alado hid behind the Ajeran masquerade of Isheri Oshun to unleash attack on Alado's domain, using dangerous weapons, due to an old feud.

Some of those who allegedly masterminded the attack include, Mojeed Amoo, Batini Alabi, an OPC member, Saidi Omo Baba Olomi, Sakiru Emergency, the son of Emergency, etc.

Findings have proved that Emergency is notorious for dangerous crimes such as robbery and banditry, a reason why Alh.Taoreed resorted to the law by reporting the matter to the Area 'M' police command, sequel to which arrests were made and matter charged to court, even as further investigations are ongoing, with the declaration of the sponsor and Emergency, wanted.

Voiceout Nigeria News , VONN, made efforts to reach some stakeholders in Isheri Oshun to no avail before filing this report.
