Business / Re: Increased Demand For Dollar Causes Naira To Depreciate To 1,420/$ by vuc1(m): 11:05am On Apr 26
Governance isn't an easy task. Before you criticise anything you don't understand think first. My advice to this Government is to always look critically to their policies before implementing. Think of the negative effect on Nigerians first some positives are not really worth it on the long run. E dey easy to talk and criticise but to work and build no dey easy o. I remember the campaign strategy in 2015, the government is yours now.Are you doing things differently? How are Nigerians faring? Naira floating and subsidy may not be reversed and even if it is done, it won't change anything. Fixing the effect of your hasty decisions should be your priority. We don't need new projects for now we need what we already have to work properly. Until we learn to maintain what we have on ground building new ones will not work, it will always collapse like the old ones. We don't need new roads, airports, palliative, ₦5k - ₦50k grant and loans, stadiums, refinery and the rest. We need to work on the ones we have and develop them and put strategies to ensure they are sustainable. Please do all you can to bring down cost of petroleum products and as for the dollar and economy when Nigeria works the economy and dollar will behave.

Please note: This is not to criticize or condemn the government but to encourage and support. I no wan wahala o.

Go for a test. It could be you have typhoid, hepatitis and malaria. Don't do self medication confirm what the problem is first before treatment. You will spend less doing that.

I gave up on this country and it's government when I tried to do voter transfer online to another location where I'm currently residing. After correctly putting in the details on my voter's card the response I got was that my details does not exist on their database. The same INEC that registered and gave me their useless ID card does not have my details.

Politics / Re: How Would You Solve The Insecurity Issue In Nigeria If You Were The President? by vuc1(m): 10:17am On Apr 06, 2021
If I'm the president I'll ensure that states control their own security structure(the police, the military and any other security apparatus in the state). The states know their people, their terrain and where the shoe pinches them. There will be no federal might. Then the governors will also on their part not be in total control of the security structure to avoid abuse. Each local government will also have theirs controlled by the LG chairman. The villages and towns will be allowed the authority to control whoever is deployed to them. Then on accounts that the security challenges have overpowered the towns and villages "only them" can hand over the power to the LG to handle. Same goes to the LG to the state government and same to the state to the federal government. By doing that none of them will have the power to control the security situation unless invited and by so doing there will be no impunity or abuse of power and authority which could worsen security situation. Then at every level of the security structure you will notice that none of them will like to be incompetent, they will like to protect their people to reign supreme. Power intoxicates humans and they will like to do anything to remain relevant and important.

Religion / Re: This Dream My Fiancee's Mother Had Is Bothering My Fiancee And I. by vuc1(m): 10:32pm On Apr 01, 2021
DoubleFingers:
N/B: This could be a bit lengthy, but please, read to the end.

I have been making preparations since late last year to settle down with my fiancee. I intend going to collect the marriage list this coming April to kick start the marriage processes.

My girl and I are very compatible in almost all ramifications you can think of. Honestly, she's the perfect definition of a supportive wife, well mannered and loyal to the core, just to say a few.

We now lived in different states, but we've known ourselves and have been seeing/dating each other in the same city between December 2016 and September 2019. I even made her to redeploy during her NYSC in 2018, to be close to me because of my intentions for her.

As usual, we've been praying and trying to seek the face of God to get divine revelation.

So on the 9th of this month (March), my fiancee and her mum visited a priest for normal pre marriage talk/counseling. The priest of course asked my girl some questions about me, which she answered sincerely. The priest then advised my girl and her mum to put everything in God's hand and be praying about it.

About a week later (around 16th or so), my fiancée's mother had a dream where my fiancée's hair was cut in the dream. In trying to understand the dream, my fiancee then called her cousin who is a Reverend, and the cousin told her that the dream is a bad dream, that it means "someone is trying to take her glory."

That dream compelled my fiancee and her mum to have two days midnight prayer (19th and 20th precisely) to cancel any bad dream.

Reaching today, my girl and her mum visited the priest again, to let him know about the dream. The priest then asked my girl about her understand of the dream. My girl said it means "widowhood." But my girl's mum was having a different understanding.

In summary, the priest then asked my girl if she had gotten a divine revelation, as to whether we're meant to be husband and wife. My girl said no has not.
Personally, I've fasted and prayed severally to God to show me reasons not to marry my fiancee, but I'm yet to see reasons not to.

Honestly, apart from divine validation which I'm yet to get, I'm yet to see reasons why I shouldn't marry my fiancee. And my girl have been worried since this afternoon, thereby getting me worried also.

Now my questions are:

1.) What does it mean for someone's hair to be cut in a dream?

2.) Is it 100% compulsory that one must get a divine validation to have a peaceful and happy marriage?

Please, your honest contributions will be appreciated.

Mods, please help a brother if this piece isn't in the right section.

And help send it to front page for more response.

Thanks.
Why do you go to a barber shop to get your hair cut when you notice it has grown? Why does your fiancee visit a beauty shop to make a new hairstyle? If your answer is to make you look beautiful, better, clean, handsome, presentable or whatever your reasons maybe, then you should as well think outside the box(think differently, why not choose the positive side and forget loosing the glory side) it might be the positive answer to the prayer you've been praying.

TomHagen:
You and this your rapture.
Na only you God dey talk to?

It's not only him. I use to wonder Christians saying Jesus is coming soon and the soon never comes.Last night I had a disturbing dream, I was in a place that looks like cemetery and I saw dead bodies lying beside their graves waiting to be laid down below it was terrific and I wondered what I was doing there. All of a sudden I saw something like a flash of white shiny light in the eyes of one of the dead persons and and suddenly something came out and zoomed up the sky.I was shocked I was made to understand that it was rapture. Then I keep wondering why it was one person out of the numerous people I saw. Then when I woke up i was pondering on that.Could it be that one's rapture takes place after they die? Could it be that their Jesus has come? The answer is yes. Think about it.

OP stop crying like a baby and stop saying you're heart broken, it is unmanly. Even if you do don't say it.First of all you should be the man make the rules, tame her and if she refuses to be tamed leave her.In your next relationship don't start what you can't finish don't be too romantic and caring to a lady, they will love it but they will take you as a weak fellow(woman).A woman wants a strong man they're weaker vessels naturally no matter how hard she might claim to be and that's why they fall for bad guys.In my own relationship she says I'm hard sometimes yet she can't stop loving me.Know when to be romantic and caring and when to be the captain.Let your yes be YES and your no, NO.

Stupidity and hate is when you believe PDP destroyed Abia for 16years when the same people who used PDP to destroy Abia no longer see means to siphon and escape from their indictment but decided to join APC and automatically became saints to transform Abia.Stupidity/confusion is when you vote PDP for presidential because APC government is evil and have massacred your people and made life unbearable for you but decided to Vote APC in the gubernatorial because they have become saints after one week of voting.
