A work permit in Europe is issued after you have received a job from an employer that can sponsor a foreigner. Canada is better because you can get an open work permit, and search for a job in Canada.

So your question about converting a visa to a work permit does not follow the principle of legal certainty.

But if your aim is to remain legal when you are in the Schengen zone as a visitor, then you may just apply to a language school, and change it to a student permit, to buy yourself time like a year.

To know your next steps.

NB, I don't know if this is still possible now, but when I was in Poland like nine years ago, it was a thing back then. As for Western Europe, forget it, you can't change a visitor to anything.

Except if you apply as a partner/Spouse of an EU citizen, then your immigration status (legal, illegal, visitor, etc.) doesn't matter.
Thanks so much for the response.

Please for clarification purpose, are you saying applying in a language school would enable one get a study permit?

Two, if enrolled in a language school, is one allowed to work?

Third, please which of the schengen countries does one stand the highest chance to get something like this done?

Haaa, why you need agent now? 200k per person, so 400k free money. Dash me the money abeg. I'll help you get the visa grin

Is there any way a schengen visit visa can be LEGALLY converted to a work permit in any Schengen country just like we have in Canada?
