Man United v Southampton : Mourinho’s first?

Manchester United square off against Southampton in the finals of the EFL Cup this Sunday the 26th in what is arguably United’s boss Jose Mourinho’s maiden chance to acquire some much needed silverware.

The two teams battle it out for the second time this season with each team looking to establish their dominance ahead of their Premier League clash which was slated for 12th next month but was postponed. The first meeting went United’s way with the Red Devils garnering a 2-0 victory thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s heroics on his home debut for the team.

The Swede scored a brace : a surgical header at the 36th minute and a picturesque penalty which sent Southampton’s keeper the wrong way, to hand United a comfortable win on the second week of the season.

United hope to replicate their winning ways by possibly fielding the lethal Ibrahimovic-Pogba combination yet again, which proved to be Southampton’s undoing and added a much needed spark to United’s offense under Mourinho as compared to Louis Van Gaal’s tenure last season.

Southampton on the other hand look to make a reference to their last encounter notes in the attempt to come up with a more favourable outcome. The Saints’ striker Shane Long, admitted at the postgame news conference during their last match that though he felt that they played well as their ball movement was good, it took them some time to for them to get going and they needed to change that by learning from the match and going at teams from the blow of the whistle.

The odds appear to be in United’s favour as their winning percentage (out of 25 games played, they have won 13, drawn 9 and lost 3 averaging to 52%) is far much better than their opponent’s 32% (out of 25 games played, they have won 8, drawn 6 and lost 11).

Both team managers will have to carefully select the pieces they put on the board as they are without the services of some of their key players. United’s list of injured players include Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Michael Carrick whereas Southampton will be without the services of Charlie Austin and Van Dijk.

The Verdict: United are the favourites to win though Southampton, who saw off Liverpool 1-0 in both legs of the semi-finals, has shown its resilience and will undoubtedly not be a brush-off. Injuries may be United’s Achilles heel as we are yet to see if the absence of Mkhitaryan’s creativity and Carrick’s control at the back of the midfield and football IQ will put them at a disadvantage as statistics show a decline in their winning percentage when both players are off the field.

Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester United: Business as Usual For United

On-song Manchester United travel to Ewood Park to face Owen Coyle’s Blackburn Rovers in an Emirates FA Cup fifth round tie, in what is poised to be a completely unbalanced contest.

A season that started on a low for the Red Devils is finally well and steady on track, with Jose Mourinho looking at a possible treble. They are in the EFL Cup final, the knockout stage of the Europa League and in contention for a Champion’s League spot at the close of the season.

Mourinho’s men have beaten Reading and Wigan Athletic, both by a 4-0 scoreline at Old Trafford, to reach the last 16. A 2-1 second leg EFL Cup semi-final defeat to Hull City is their only loss in 22 league and cup matches. Incredibly, the last time the Red Devils tasted defeat in the Premier League was in their 4-0 loss at Stamford Bridge way back in October. Such a spectacular run they have had!

Blackburn Rovers, have been beaten 15 times this season, and are languishing at the lower ends of the Championship. They face an in form side. Going by Blackburn’s standing on the log, their main target is avoiding the axe.

United has made it a habit to field a full strength squad, unlike other teams that have rested some key players. We expect that to happen again in this one.

The two sides haven’t met since 2012 - the last seven times they’ve met, United has won four, Blackburn one and two of those meetings have ended in draws. United has only lost to a side outside the top division in the FA Cup twice in the last 33 years (Leeds in 2010 and Bournemouth in 1984).

Tough one for Rovers! Easy ride for United...

Arsenal to Collapse At The Bridge

Lose.

That word will make the headlines in this gloves-off fixture. The last time this term these two sides met, Antonio Conte almost lost his job. It was an awful display from the Blues who were ripped apart by the Gunners. It is a contest where the scales are now tipping in Chelsea’s favour. Arsenal dread losing this one. Should they lose, then the title is gone with three months to the end of the season.

It is a do or die contest where both sides will come out strongly. The Blues are 9 points clear at the top, and could go 12 points ahead should they hit Arsenal. Arsenal failed to close the gap, awfully going down 2-1 at home to Watford, and must win this one.

Arsenal has been on a not-so convincing run, and will come into this match as the underdogs. Although Eden Hazard has labelled Arsenal as one of their biggest rivals to the title, the Gunners are deflated and will have to do with a makeshift squad especially in the midfield.

Granit Xhaka is out suspended, Aaron Ramsey is out for at least three weeks. Hard tackler Francis Coquelin is a doubt as is Alex-Oxlade who is set to face a late fitness test. Manager Arsene Wenger is also out suspended and will not be on the touchline.

Arsenal's last goal at Stamford Bridge was a Walcott strike in January 2013. In recent fixtures, it’s been disastrous for the Gunners at the Bridge. Alexis Sanchez is the only clutch Arsenal is holding on, and the Chilean should be the difference maker, for Arsenal.

Chelsea and Antonio Conte are desperate for revenge. The Blues have a strong backline, and the man at the front Diego Costa has been doing the business effectively. On a good day, Costa could be Chelsea’s key assassin. Costa hasn't gone two matches without finding the back of the net, and he looks due coming into this one.

Arsenal have always encountered banana skin on their way to the title race, and this is where they are likely to slip. Unless something really spectacular happens. Chelsea has had a major turn-around and look set for another routine victory.

Here is our predicted lineup;

Chelsea: Courtois, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Matic, Kante, Moses, Hazard, Pedro, Costa

Arsenal: Cech, Monreal, Koscielny, Mustafi, Bellerin, Coquelin, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Iwobi, Ozil, Walcott, Sanchez

Everton, Liverpool Poised for Fierce Merseyside Derby

A bloody contest awaits us tonight, with the Merseyside contest pitting Everton against Liverpool at the Goodison Park.

After experiencing a mini-wobble, Liverpool found some form and will be buoyed for a victory here. While the Reds will be keen to get things on track, the Toffees will look to build on last week’s solid victory over Arsenal, and dent Liverpool’s title hopes. After a spate of poor results in recent weeks, Everton lies at 8th and must win here to stick with the chasing pack.

Jurgen Klopp understands how intimidating a place the Goodison Park is, and will demand total bravery and ruthlessness from his men. Sensational pair Adam Lallana and Divock Origi have found some magic in recent days, and will be keen to maintain that form.

Liverpool has arguably the best attack in the division. Despite suffering some slack in form recently, Klopp has his his men maintain an unmatched scoring form, something that should trouble Koeman and his side.

The Kop’s forward line will worry Koeman further, especially considering that captain Phil Jagielka is out suspended, after a cynical foul that earned him a second yellow card, in the last minute of the Arsenal tie last week.

The headline of this contest in recent weeks has been draws, and going by this statistic, the trend could stick this season.

Everton will be looking to keep up with the pace of the title chasing pack, while Liverpool will be desperate for a victory to set themselves back in the race for the title by slicing the gap between them and leaders Chelsea to 6 points. A terrific derby awaits...

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Weekend EPL Preview: Time To Separate Boys From Men by WasereSupport: 10:38am On Dec 16, 2016
After a blood-pumping week of football action, the weekend is here again!

The weekend action is a must watch,as league title race takes shape. It is at this time when champions break from the rest of the pack, relegation contests intensify and maybe, just maybe Arsenal consolidate their place in the race for the infamous ‘Top four Cup.’

Unstoppable Chelsea FC takes on Crystal Palace in what looks like a tricky one for the Blues. Conte and his men were modest in midweek, winning by a solitary goal, and surviving a few scares. They face a Crystal Palace side that is on poor form, but with great potential of springing with surprises any day. Chelsea has had a mean backline, while Costa has been excellent, leading potent attack that has scored consistently. This is a big one for both sides, though Chelsea looks like the likely victor here.

Defending champions Leicester travel to Stoke in what is likely to be the match of the afternoon. Stoke has been on a steady rise, all thanks to a blend of experience and talent. The Foxes have had a poor show this season, and another loss here will totally complicate the equation for them.

West Brom welcomes Manchester United in another of the night’s highly anticipated fixtures. After a run of disappointing results, United has been quietly going about its business and now faces a stern test away to the Hawthorns. Following a convincing 2-1 win over Crystal Palace away from home, United has shown potential even on the road, and will be looking to sustain the steady rise on the log. An exciting fixture heer, though West Brom is likely to frustrate United to a draw here.

It is on Sunday that we now get to witness a bare knuckle contest from both ends of town.

Super Sunday it is! Manchester City welcomes Arsenal to the Etihad in a make or break tie. An otherwise seemingly invisible City has seen its season’s hopes go down the drain thanks to a weak backline and indiscipline. Lead scorer Sergio Aguero is still out suspended, and is Fernandinho.

City is currently low on confidence and should they lose this one, Pep should forget placing his hands on the EPL in his first attempt. For the bettors, the odds for this match do not tell the entire story, although City is the favourite by a slight margin.

Arsenal finally suffered just its second defeat of the season at the most critical time. The Gunners were caught flat footed by a sure and solid Everton side. The Toffees exposed Wenger and his meek men who once again proved they aren’t fit to win the title.

Both sides are under immense pressure and must win. We are likely to experience a bunch of goals here, plus some exciting football. Arsenal has already whipped City, albeit in pre-season and will be looking to do a double and keep up with Chelsea at the top.

Arsenal looks likely to win here. Should Alexis Sanchez and Ozil come to the party, City will soak in a couple of goals.

One of the most fierce derbies makes the headline on Monday Night Football, with Everton taking on Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby.

Everton has shown some improvement after enduring a torrid run in recent weeks, and will be buoyed for a victory in this one. We expect a really tight contest, with intense emotions ruling the evening. Yellow cards and sent offs have ruled this fixture in previous years and this season should be no exception.

Everton captain Phil Jagielka already set the stage, after he was sent off in the final minute against Arsenal for a cynical challenge on Lucas Perez. He probably shall be the biggest miss for Everton coming into this one.

Liverpool has had mixed results in recent weeks, and nothing short of victory will keep Klopp and his men well placed on the log. The Reds have been scoring consistently, but will have to find a formula to keep it neat at the back. A goalkeeping department full of bloopers and a defense forever caught in sixes and sevens have complicated Klopp’s work and saw him drop vital points.

It certainly a weekend you cannot miss, with the host of exciting fixtures and the points at stake this December, where in Arsene Wenger’s words, ‘The title is either won or lost.’

Rivalry Headlines World Cup Qualifiers

Rivalries will headline the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers this weekend, as teams look to seal their places in Russia.

Brazil vs Argentina has already served football diehards with more than they had hoped for. A resurged Brazilian outfit effectively sorted out Argentina in a masterful 3-0 spanking, with Coutinho and Neymar the destroyers-in-chief.

Coach Tite and Brazil made it five straight wins, and inflict more pain on an Argentine side caught in sixes and sevens. Argentina is under pressure to get the answers right, lest they miss out on a place at the global showpiece.

The battle between the South American giants set the stage for a fierce rivalry set to play out this weekend.

England remain top of Group F despite some unimpressive shows against Malta and Slovenia last month. The Three Lions faceoff with a wounded Scotland in the world’s oldest rivalry that dates back to 1872.

Scotland has often referred to England as the ‘Auld Enemy’, and this fixture is worth watching.

Southgate will look to win this one, if his intentions are to keep the England job permanently. This fixture will be determined by more than just the form of both sides. Defensively, England has a better record. The Scots have not been great at the back, although they have compensated that with some great goals upfront.

This is a tight one, that is likely to end in a draw.

Egypt faces off with Ghana in another exciting fixture, that oozes with rivalry. A couple of years ago, The Black Stars crushed Egypt by 6-1 at home, to inflict on the Pharaoh’s their biggest defeat, and one of the worst at that stage.

Egypt too, has had its fair share of happy moments. The most memorable has be the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations final, where they won 1-0.

The Egyptians are certainly bracing themselves to avenge the 6-1 loss. North Africa and Egypt precisely is never an easy hunting ground. Ghana will certainly need strong character to get a goal, leave alone a point.

Both sides have been drawn in the same groups for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Overall, 24 games have been played between the two sides. Egypt has won 11, Ghana 8, while 5 have ended in draws.

Algeria welcome West African powerhouse Nigeria in another of the weekend’s top drawer friendlies.

The Algerians last defeated the Super Eagles at the 1990 Africa cup of nations final in Algiers.

Super Eagle’s most memorable victory over Algeria would be in 1994 when they denied them a place in the 1994 World Cup.

Nigeria is on 4-match winning streak, and has won 2 of its last 3 competitive games at home. Algeria is unbeaten in 8, including 4 away matches. Such a humdinger building up! Besides the rivalry, there is so much at stake, and this will be a tight fixture, likely to end in a 1-1 draw.

More Misery Ahead?

An exciting weekend in the Premier League lays in wait, as the league race takes shape.

The North London Derby is certainly the headline of a tough week for all the teams. In spite of the clash being staged on Sunday, It is not easy to avoid it, hence it goes up first on our preview.

Arsene Wenger has already laid the stage for the bare-knuckle contest by stating that the match is ‘more than just a derby.’ Arsenal come into the match on the back of a 3-2 comeback win over Ludogorets in The Champions League. In the division, the Gunners were in their true element, sweeping aside Sunderland 4-1.

Arsenal has been scoring consistently, and the defensive combo of Koscielny and Mustafi has been earning every penny of its pay, by remaining solid at the back. The midfield has been superb, with the forward line banging in goals consistently.

The Gunners are however, approaching a tricky bend that is November. Last season, Wenger’s men just picked 2 points in November. A win against Spurs will really place Arsenal as a key figure in the title race. In 15 straight matches, the side from the Emirates is yet to taste defeat.

Spur’s on the other hand, is yet to win in 6 matches. Harry Kane is still out injured. To further complicate Spur’s case, the goals have dried up for Heung-Min Son, while Vincent Jansen has only notched thrice- all from the spot.

Toby Alderweireld is out injured, and this exposes Spur’s backline badly against a flying Arsenal forward line. It is a tough one for Pochettino and his men, and a loss here is inevitable.

After a stunning 3-1 victory over Barcelona in midweek, Manchester City will seek to extend its stay at the top of the Premier League, with a match at home to Middlesbrough.

After enduring a shaky run, the win over Barca certainly pumps up City’s confidence coming into this one. It is however, not a walk in the park. Boro managed to hold Arsenal to a 0-0 draw, in a clash where Aitor Karanka and his men should have won, were it not for some solid and certain goalkeeping from Cech.

Against Arsenal, Aitor Karanka played with 4 defenders and 3 holding midfielders, and managed to shut out Arsenal’s forward line. We expect Boro to play defensively again, and stay back.

This is clash that will witness fewer goals, and whoever goes up first on the scoresheet, has a higher chance to win.

In three matches, Bob Bradley has only picked a point, and his reign hasn’t really got off to a flier, as it was expected. The results, however, do not tell the whole story for the Welsh side that has displayed some great football in the recent weeks.

Against Chelsea and Man City, Swansea has kept their opponents toe to toe, and there is massive hopes of an upset, when they welcome United. On paper, Jose Mourinho’s side has better quality. However, if the recent results are anything to go by, then anything is possible here.

United has been on a poor run, with Jose laying culpability for the shambolic displays on lack of team effort, commitment and luck. After falling 2-1 to Fenerbahce away in the Europa League, United’s woes were stretched with Paul Pogba limping out injured. The Frenchman is likely to join the injury list that has the likes of defenders Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is having the worst run of his career, having gone 6 matches without a win, despite treating us to an explosive start to the season. With the goals drying up, a makeshift defense and a team low on confidence, we can expect United to suffer a shocker here.

Stoke City has finally turned the corner, and is playing some great football and getting the results. In 5 straight ties, Stoke is yet to taste defeat.

Mark Hughes has certainly made great strides, transforming Stoke from a side without a win, to registering three straight wins. Although it can be argued that those victories came up against bottom placed sides, credit has to be given for the improvement.

West Ham has certainly found some convincing form, and will look to continue with the promising run. After Everton soundly defeated them last weekend, West Ham must find a winning formula over Stoke. Certainly not an easy assignment, as this is anyone’s game.

Burnley has been solid at home, notching up wins against Liverpool, Everton and Watford so far. The Clarets face a rather unpredictable Crystal Palace.

It is interesting that Palace come up as a favourite in this one especially considering that it faces a team that has an enviable home record.

Palace has no strong record compared to Burnley, who should get maximum points here.

Enjoy the football weekend!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / EPL - A Weekend Of Big Issues by WasereSupport: 1:57pm On Oct 28, 2016
Round 10 is here, and there are no friendly-fires. It is certainly, an unsurprisingly, bare-knuckle contest, with no margins of error.

The panic button has already been pressed in some quarters, and there would be no shockers if some key managers were dropped along the way, well before Christmas. Despite getting over City in midweek, the pressure is still on for Jose Mourinho.

Following last weekend’s 4-0 humiliation at the Bridge, coupled with a winless streak that stretches to three matches now, United must get to business and collect all points against a tricky Burnley side.

Burnley has served us some shockers already against the big boys. Stunning Liverpool and holding frustrating the Gunners in a controversial 1-0 loss. United knows this is banana skin, and they must tread carefully. Any errors, and United could be getting ready to send Jose out.

Arsenal’s run was stifled by Middlesbrough last weekend, with the Gunners surviving by a whisker. It was no surprise. Despite the Gunners showing some great potential thus far, the result was the type that puts their title credentials into question. Sunderland has not won any match thus far, and lost 3 of its past 4 home matches.

Avoiding defeat at home to Arsenal will do much in easing the pressure on David Moyes. Should he fail to win, Moyes will be as good as sacked. No time for errors for both managers.

The international break seemed to slow down Tottenham Hotspur’s pace. Mauricio Pochettino is yet to taste victory since defeating Manchester City 2-0. That run has put his side’s title credentials to question, and should they be complacent on the weekend, Leicester will certainly punish them.

Well, the team tasked with inflicting the first loss on Tottenham, Leicester, is having a terrible record at home. Infact, away from home, Leicester is the worst team. The Foxes have lost all 4 matches on the road, and conceded a staggering 13 goals! Should Harry Kane be part of the Spurs side, Leicester could suffer a shocker.

Both sides have a good forward line, and this could make it a goal-fest.

By its own standards, Bournemouth is doing well thus far. It is however, tricky business when Eddie Howe and his men travel to face Middlesbrough. The match has all the makings of a boring draw, considering the records shared between the two sides. Boro is winless at home while the Cherries are yet to taste victory on the road.

A revitalized West Ham faces off with an Everton side that is yet to win in 5 matches.

Everton has been guilty of missing sitters, and that has been their main undoing. Slaven Bilic has adopted a new tact, that has seen his side defend in numbers and catch their opponents on the break.

There is certainly little to suggest that Everton can get maximum points over West Ham.

Then, there’s the small rivalry that is simmering ahead of Liverpool vs Crystal Palace. After falling out of favour with Jurgen Klopp,Belgian Christian Benteke faces his former manager, in a tie that certainly has more at stake than just three points.

Benteke has proved to be a main man in the Palace forward, and he certainly shall be causing ripples coming up against an opposition he knows far too well.

Andy Townsend and Wilfried Zaha should up their game, jus incase Pardew expects the best out of Benteke. Jason Puncheon makes a return to the starting 11, and this should provide lots of scoring opportunities for Benteke.

Liverpool is playing some deft football. It is unlikely that Palace will triumph over the Kops with ease. It is certainly a tough fixture.

Chelsea has lots of critics to silence, coming up against a Southampton side that has shown so much potential this season.

After falling to West Ham in mid-week, Antonio Conte must ensure his side gets back to winning ways, to assert themselves as title contenders.

Saints are yet to lose at home, and boast the second best defense in the division. In 5 matches, they are unbeaten.

This is likely to be a really closely contested tie, with no one willing to make errors. This could end in a draw.

After a terrible month-long run without a win, Pep Guardiola must get back to winning ways.

City’s Cinderella start has been halted, and Pep must engineer a sudden turnaround. He faces a master spoiler in Tony Pulis and it shall not be an easy afternoon ride.

Sergio Aguero’s form is worrying, and after failing to find the back of the net in the last 6, something must change for City and Aguero to get back on form.

City is further struggling at the back, and most teams are exploiting that. West Brom will be focused on frustrating City and playing for a draw, which to Pep, will only serve to add to his side’s woes.

Bloody Red Battle

It is one of those rare Mondays, when two football giants face off in a no-holds barred contest, with all the makings of a derby.

The fixture tonight serves more than an amazing display of skill and talent. All eyes will certainly be trained on the dugout, as two managers;Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho where an exciting plot is expected to play out.

Klopp seems to have masterminded a revolution of sorts at Anfield, with the Reds enjoying a great run of form. The form is twice as better in attack, with Liverpool netting 10 goals in the last 3 fixtures in all competitions. It is a staggering figure, that should fire sufficient warning salvos to the United backline.

Liverpool has already been tested. Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester make up a list of top teams that Klopp and his men have faced, and swept away, with ease.

Currently, the men from Anfield lay 4th with 16th points, 3 behind the log leaders. It is against the league minnows Burnley that Liverpool suffered a shocker, losing 2-0 thanks to an impoverished defense.

Liverpool has been terrible, dealing with dead balls, and that could be its main undoing. Facing a potent attack force that boasts Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, the Reds cannot afford any blunders at the back tonight.

A win here will go a long way, in helping Liverpool assert a meaningful role to play in the destination of the title.

Klopps opposite number Jose Mourinho faces an acid test. The Red Devils have released the foot from the gas pedal, and what looked like an explosive season seems to be all but an illusion.

United which currently sits 6th on the log, will look to replicate last season’s double leg victory over the Reds. A shocking defeat to Watford and a draw against Stoke has placed Jose Mourinho under some pressure of sorts, and the seasoned manager will look to make amends pronto.

Jose and his men are seemingly struggling to find their footing at Old Trafford, despite an expensive and expansive recruitment drive, and this tie presents a major acid test in their race this season. Victory would get impatient fans back to their seat, while a defeat will only add to a series of disjointed performances and serve to cast more doubts on Mourinho's future.

Another of Mourinho’s dilemma on the night will be the Wayne Rooney case. After being dropped from the national team lineup, it remains to be seen if Jose lays faith on his captain or drops him again.

Adam Lallana, Georginio Wijnaldum are out injured for Liverpool. Nathaniel Clyne, Emre Can and Dejan Lovren are back and could be available for selection.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and defender Luke Shaw are available for United, while Phil Jones will remain out.

Manchester United is on a four match winning run against Liverpool in Premier League meetings, but coming into this one, there is little to suggest that history will play a role.

The winning momentum and consistency is currently with Liverpool, while United is struggling to find the right gear. That could be the tipping point in the match tonight, with Liverpool likely to come out on top.

Regardless of the season still being in its early stages, two things could happen tonight at the end of 90 minutes; United fans could get twice as restless and start calling for Jose’s head or the silent murmurs of another trophy less season at Anfield could grow in volumes...

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Manchester United Vs West Ham United : EFL Cup (4 - 1) On 30th November 2016 by WasereSupport: 9:29am On Oct 17, 2016
Midfielders Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini will both miss Manchester United's EFL Cup quarter-final against West Ham United due to suspension.

Both were booked for the fifth time this season when the teams drew 1-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.

West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, who scored at Old Trafford at the weekend, is out with a hamstring injury.

Andy Carroll is close to returning from a knee problem while defender Winston Reid is available after suspension.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera said his side wanted "revenge" after failing to win at the weekend.

"It's positive that we are playing on Wednesday, when we can get revenge," the Spaniard added. "We can turn our luck in the next game in the EFL Cup.

"It doesn't matter the competition, it doesn't matter the game, we just want to win. We want to fight for everything and we want to make our fans proud.

"It's positive that we are playing on Wednesday, when we can get revenge."

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said he would be making changes to the team but said he was confident the players coming in could help the Hammers reach the semi-finals.

"It would give us a lot of confidence if we could win the game and we will be doing everything to do that," added Bilic.

"If we change a few players like United will, it doesn't mean we are going there just to play a game.

"It is a quarter-final and to reach the semis is a big thing and we are just a couple of games from the final.

Acid Test for Managers, as Round 8 Beckons

After a fairly longer International break, league action resumes this weekend with a bang!

A highly tactical clash sees us off on Saturday afternoon, when Chelsea welcome Leicester to the Stamford Bridge. This goes beyond just the three points at stake. Manager Antonio Conte has been tipped to be the second Premier League manager to face the axe, and he certainly needs to save face pronto.

The double fixtures between the two sides were rather dramatic, with The Foxes winning 2-1 in the opener to effectively boot out Jose Mourinho, while in the reverse fixture, Ranieri was making a return to the Bridge as a champion. Conte finds himself in a tight corner, where a loss should activate the panic button and put his future in doubt.

Chelsea is 5 points ahead of Leicester, and will be keen to stretch the gap. Tactically, Chelsea has the league’s most in-form striker; Diego Costa. However, what matters most here is the 3 points and not the goals. Despite missing Brazilian Willian, who is away on compassionate leave, Chelsea should dominate possession.

In 5 of the 7 games played, Chelsea has scored at least twice, and should also find the net against Leicester. Diego Costa will have to earn every penny of his wages in this one, as he battles Robert Huth and Wes Morgan in the Leicester defense.

Leicester has so far lost all three away games this season, conceding 10 goals in the process which is in stark contrast to its form last season. We expect Claudio Ranieri’s men to sit back, soak the pressure, and catch Chelsea on the break. Islam Slimani has been a revelation at the King Power, and we expect him to replicate the form in this one, in what will be a must watch clash.

Ronald Koeman has a test away to the Etihad, when Everton tackles Manchester City. City was effectively demolished by a well-oiled Tottenham Hotspurs, and Pep must immediately conjure a winning formula to get his side back on track.

City has worryingly shipped in 5 goals in the last 2 encounters, and will need to seal any loopholes coming into this one. City still sits pretty at the top of the table, and has the potential to bounce back to winning ways in this one. Sergio Aguero has shrugged off an injury scare this week, and will be available for selection alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Nigerian sensation Kelechi Iheanacho.

Critics have labelled Everton an overrated side, and Koeman would be keen to drop that tag, with a better show away to City. Everton has not really had a tough test this season, besides Spurs, and this will be a real test to its mettle.

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku comes up an equally strong opponent, and he will be keen to up his price tag with a great display here. Lukaku has bagged five goals in his last four Premier League appearances after a run of 11 consecutive appearances in the competition without a goal. He is likely to find the back of the net for his side here.

Bob Bradley is the first American Premier League manager, and has his work cut out ahead of the trip to the Emirates. Swansea is desperate for a win, and it promises to be a daunting task especially against a side enjoying a great run of form.

No visiting team has a better record at the Emirates that Swansea. History has facts, the say, and Bob will want to guard this record by silencing the Gunners on home soil. Swansea is certainly going to take Arsenal head on and could find the net.

Arsenal is on a run of 5 wins, and look unstoppable. Burnley attempted to stop Arsenal in their last fixture, and suffered a late controversial goal, for Arsenal to collect maximum points. However, Arsene Wenger will demand his side to be more clinical in front of goal, particularly Alexis Sanchez who has been guilty of missing a handful of sitters thus far. Aaron Ramsey is making a return to the team, and this gives Arsenal an abundance of attacking options to help them to a win.

Despite having an awful start to the season, pundits still believe that West Ham has an upper hand against an on-song Crystal Palace. Amazing! Christian Benteke is probably the best buy for Palace, and the Belgium is fit and firing. The former Kop returns to domestic league action after scoring a hat-trick on international duty.

West Ham, is yet to get its right gear, and the break should hopefully have helped them to regroup. In 7 matches, the Hammers have picked just 4 points, and will be keen to start collecting points. This should be a really close tie, with West Ham likely to bounce back and start winning.

Two sides who are winless thus far; Stoke City and Sunderland face off in what could be one of the most ruthless encounters of the day. Both managers are under pressure to deliver. Whoever wants it more should come out on top here. David Moyes is under more pressure certainly than his opposite number, and should guide his side to a maiden victory.

Saints host Burnley on Sunday, as the league’s best defensive sides clash. Southampton and Burnley have kept five clean sheets between them in the opening 7 matches, and this is likely to be a really low scoring fixture.

Goals have evaded Burnley on the road, and coming up against a Saints side with 6 straight clean sheets, a goal here, leave alone a win, will be hard to come by.

Saints forward line has not been in good form lately, and this could play out to a low-scoring draw.

Great action coming your way this weekend. Grab your jerseys and be part of the action!

So our experience is that what rocks for clients is good prices, that the website is quick to navigate, and that we have reliable deposit options and withdrawals.

And when you win too much doh, they void the game telling you they hav the rights to void any game after match... Wasere is Shiit

I've already said we do not have the bet selections of the big competitors, but that it will gradually increase. We on average have 40 options for each match where the big 3 has around 100.
As for not having all countries, then you are surely correct. We for instance do not have the national mongolian sheepherder league, but if you look in the 'Other Countries' section you should find what you need!

As too cancelling bets if you win too much, that is simply not true.
We had a case where our live feed broke down and odds were not updated after goals were scored, so what should have been an odds 2 was an odds 12. We had a lot of people taking advantage of this, even placing bets after the match was completed, and of course we had to cancel these bets.
I think most seasoned punters in here will agree that if you see a team is ahead 1-0, 2-0 with a short time of the match left, you do not get odds 12 or 15.

I apologize if you placed the bet in good faith, but any bookmaker has rules that allow cancellation of bets in case their prices have not been updated correctly or due to tech problems.

Sports / World Cup Qualifiers Take Centre Stage by WasereSupport: 1:02pm On Oct 07, 2016
A less captivating football week gets lit up this weekend, with a host of intense World Cup qualifiers across the football world.

Ghana is first up in our weekend pick, as it hosts Uganda in an exciting and tight contest. The Black Stars are in a class of their own, and immense talent to show for it. Uganda on the other hand has been impressive, breaking a 38-year jinx to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. Previous encounters between the two sides have been tight, with Uganda matching the Black Stars man to man. I however, tend to think that the winner here shall be determined by who really wants it more. The quality, experience, talent and home advantage might just make the difference, with Ghana likely to win.

Belgium has been buddied up with Bosnia in a fourth qualifying campaign. Interestingly, Bosnia has the upper hand, winning three of those. Interestingly, in the last four encounters, each of the two sides has found the back of the net, and this makes it another really exciting contest. Belgium's forward line is however, enjoying some great form, and this could be a high scoring clash, with Roberto Martinez and his men getting a vital victory here.

After enjoying the privilege of not taking part in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, France has a tough World Cup qualifiers group assignment. Les Bleus gets the ball rolling, with what looks like a fairly easy contest.

France is currently enjoying some great scoring form, and should win comfortably here against Bulgaria.

Following a terrible display in the Euro 2016 qualification run, Netherlands has another shot at the World Cup qualification. The Dutch have generally displayed commendable progress over the past couple of months.

Belarus is not expected to offer really stiff competition to Netherlands. It is however, detrimental to underrate its potential, especially considering that it has recently triumphed over Slovakia, Republic of Ireland and holding France to a draw.

In the past six fixtures between the two nations, Belarus has won twice. However, there is little to suggest that an upset lays in wait. Netherlands should notch home a famous victory here.

After the controversial resignation of Sam Allardyce, Gareth Southgate will look to inspire the Three Lions to a victory against Malta. The two nations are worlds apart, and barring any natural calamity, England should stroll to victory. Of key concern though, will be England’s approach to this clash, and their mental strength.
A fairly easy contest, and England should run riot over Malta.

DR Congo suffered a 1-0 shocker in the hands of Kenya during a mid-week international friendly. The Leopards were awfully wasteful in front of goal, and were punished. However, it will be tough business as they host Libya, with no room for errors. Libya has good potential, but it will be tough coming out with any result from Congo.

Another exciting fixture on the cards will be between Ivory Coast and Mali. Two West African giants will be facing off. The odds are in Ivory Coast’s favour. Mali has a slight deep in form, and that should give Ivory Coast a slight advantage.

Germany welcomes Czech Republic in a fixture where Die Mannschaft is expected to triumph. Czech strongly relies on its defense and goalkeeping. In the past four fixtures, Czech has found the back of the net and this statistic should spur them to contest for a victory.
Make no mistake. The Germans have good potential and should win here.

Spain and Italy will be facing off Albania and Macedonia away respectively, in fixtures that both nations should not break a sweat over.

Grab your jerseys and vuvuzelas. Time to enjoy the action!
