Religion / Tb Joshua Predicts 2012 World Hunger; Will The World Survive? by watchtbj: 10:09pm On Dec 26, 2011
Unintentionally spoiling the chrismas celabrative mood the members were obviously in, T.B. Joshua prophesied on 25th December 2011, that the world must be ready for hard times next year (2012) as joblessness and national food insecurity will rise. He stated that for the continent Africa, this is as a result corruption, embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds, he explained that we have not seen the repercussion of all the corruption so far which he referred to as a seed which had been sown but which would sprout out of the heap in the incoming year, and precisely by February ending of the year 2012 The prophecy was received with a sad face amidst the SCOAN congregation, as it didn’t at all seem favorable, notwithstanding of what you belive about the source of his prophetic messages, the fact remains that his prophecies have always been spot on so the question remains WILL THE WORLD LISTEN THIS TIME? As terrible as this prediction sounds, he did provide a way out for the world though…continue reading: /p1TCRk-9f
Religion / The Secret Identities Behind Tb Joshua Watch? by watchtbj: 2:35pm On Nov 19, 2011
With the advent of TB Joshua watch, a site, a lot of scoan supporters like me would be very much interested in those behind this blog, yet it seems very unlikely that anyone would ever be able to uncover their secret identities because they seem to cover their tracks incredibly well, it was in the light of this that I undertook a quest to unveil the mystery masked men behind TB Joshua watch, and with the evidences I have so far, I think I’ve nailed their identity to the wall like a poster, first my names are Raphael Hall, and I was a very committed member in the SCOAN UK till I was almost misled by my evangelical church pastors, and I have very good reason to believe that they are the main authors of TB Joshua watch.

The first lead that prompted my quest was a thought, the thought that it seems very unlikely that a normal conventional critic of TB Joshua would go to the trouble of having such a website where they would continually publish rhetoric articles against TB Joshua and SCOAN, even if they did, not with the maximum consistency and effort with which TB Joshua Watch do theirs that makes it seem as though they were jobless and did no other thing with their time. Which sends a very clear signal; they must have been one time insiders of this ministry who now see having such a site as a vendetta for being shown the way out. Also the tone of their writings and comments show them to have very deep insight into the happenings in SCOAN, which points only in one direction, to the fact that they must have been one time disciples, it’s also not very far fetched that the major critics of TB Joshua in reality are those who were once front line members of his ministry, so with these assumptions I went to work.

First I had to play by their rules,

Religion / Tb Joshua's Critics Pharisee Chronicle #2 by watchtbj: 5:59pm On Oct 29, 2011
In the horrific attempt to dampen the belief heralded by thousands of Christian faithfuls in TB Joshua’s genuineness as a prophet, TB Joshua watch, a site, have gone to the trouble of having a site where they regularly publish rhetoric articles coined in a manner that places those seeking the truth about TB Joshua on the web in a sort of quagmire, the serpentine plot cogently expressed in their write ups aimed at sowing seeds of doubt has accrued to become their signature genre which any reader can hardly miss. In the previous section of this post we exposed the appalling deceptiveness in their post quoting the BBC report, and we shall herewith expose the deceptiveness in the concluding part of that article titled: TB Joshua and Scoan- a beginners guide.

1. Allegations of intimate abuse
As a Follow up to their misrepresentation of the BBC report, they then proceeded to state the several allegations of intimate abuse as an introductory piece on TB Joshua to their new readers, some of whom have been exposed through the beware of blasphemers video such as bisola Johnson.

Their rants on these allegations is a foul – cry for investigation without an iota of incriminating evidence, our take on this issue as civilized people considering the criminal nature of the allegations is a call for the accusers to come up with even the least shred of evidence, without which any such accusation would be tantamount to slander.

2. Dubious claims of divine healing:
They then go further in their introductory piece on TB Joshua to state that the healing claims in Scoan. are dubious, this seems to be their most nonsensical point so far, as the presence of real live miracles in Scoan isn’t at all under any dispute. A Google or you tube search will produce incredible videos of TB Joshua’s healing. Emmanuel TV beams Scoan healing services on Sunday’s and Mondays live to the world, via satellite and internet which consequently leaves maneuvering and editing of testimonies out of the equation.

3. Cult like behavior
On their website they also alleged  the presence of cult like behavior at Scoan and made the this bogus claim:

A previous article on this site compared testimonies of past TB Joshua disciples with the 14 cult identifying criteria compiled by the International Cultic Studies Association. Not surprisingly, they closely match every single criteria.

A closer inspection of the manner in which they closely matched every cult criteria from the ICSA to Scoan is indeed questionable as all the reports on Scoan they matched to the criteria were mainly sourced from two ardent Scoan critics and none from a reputed source with an objective view. Here is a statement on their source of information for the criteria matching:

The International Cultic Studies Association (website) are a worldwide authority on cults. They have drawn up a checklist of 14 criteria to help identify a cult.  In this post, using testimonies from ex-disciples and relatives of current disciples, we show that SCOAN fulfills the vast majority of these criteria. Our main testimonies are from Giles and Madelaine“.

Giles is a Scoan ex-disciple of questionable character who’s now fallen to the ranks of Paul agomoh, while Madelaine is an ardent Scoan critic as can be seen throughout her comments on TB Joshua watch. Now what else can be expected from a quorum of these two other than a concoct recipe for disaster?,

Religion / Nigeria Knocked Out Of The 2012 African Cup Of Nations, Is It Tb Joshua’s Fault? by watchtbj: 5:54pm On Oct 29, 2011
TB Joshua watch, the 21st century Pharisees are at it again with their usual antics, this time under the topic post: Nigeria knocked out of the 2012 African Cup of Nations, and it’s TB Joshua’s fault.

Quite surprising though, that for once they’re making their topic a clear statement rather than their usual question topics must have been a pain for them all along, trying to mask themselves with “heralding a balanced view”.
The sentiment in their topic is also synonymously shared by the NFF (Nigerian Football Federation) whose technical committee chairman blamed the match outcome on TB Joshua. His words are quoted below:

’So, if a spiritual Nigerian sees that something bad is about to befall his country is he not sup- posed to work towards neutralizing it?’ Said a fuming Green….’We all know that the prediction came from a Nigerian. If he is patriotic, he should have done something to cancel it.Source: allafrica.com

The big question that comes to mind now is, since when did a team’s losses or winnings become the responsibility of a prophet? This goes against the practice of football all over the world; the coach bears the full responsibility for a team’s losses and winnings so this is just a disgustingly cheap attempt to shift blame.
Secondly, We don’t know where TB Joshua watch got their findings from that many Nigerians are mad at TB Joshua for the outcome of the match, such speculation should at be at best disregarded as a fallacy, as nearly all the major Nigerian online forums alongside websites are blaming the NFF for Nigeria’s exit from AFCON, for instance allafrica.com which aggregates and indexes content from over 125 African news organizations, plus more than 200 other Reputed sources, reports that “Nigerians are calling for the coach’s sack”, Source: allafrica.com/stories/201110130533.html

The only hint of anyone blaming TB Joshua for Nigeria’s exit from AFCON was the one credited to osaze odemwingie, a super eagles striker,

Religion / Tb Joshua's Critics Pharisee Chronicle #1 by watchtbj: 5:45pm On Oct 29, 2011
As tales of the gruesome slander propagated by TB Joshua Watch continue to evoke emotions from scoan supporters on the internet, their hidden agenda is becoming all the more obvious to everyone, Just like the Biblical pharisees in Jesus day, they seem to be ever ready to tarnish the reputation of TB Joshua, using every cunning means, misinterpreting his best intentions and giving no single thought to the faith related crisis they may leave in their wake as long as their sinister purpose is achieved.

They recently hatched another long nursed evil with a fiendish article titled: TB Joshua and SCOAN- a beginners guide! In which they sourced an article from the BBC Website claiming it was an article on SCOAN London, an excerpt from their article reads:

“Today the BBC News website published a story by Andy Dangerfield on SCOAN London“.

(particularly note the use of the words “…story… ON Scoan london“)

We’ve spotted the oddity in this statement and found it thoroughly embarrassing that they would resort to Lies from the very first sentence in their post, as the article in question was never about Scoan London, but about how some churches HIV prayer cure caused three deaths, due to the advice by the churches evangelical pastors to stop taking their antiretroviral drugs. There was absolutely no reference in the BBC report linking the three deceased persons to Scoan London,

Religion / Tb Joshua’s Critics – Rise Of The 21st Century Pharisees #1 by watchtbj: 5:38pm On Oct 29, 2011
They claim to be a group of six individuals supposedly poised to unveiling the truth about TB Joshua and Scoan, but just how much truth do they have to share? or rather what are they scheming behind the guise of this mission statement?

According to their statement on TB Joshua watch, of the six-people involved to varying degrees in running the site, only one of them has visited Scoan as a visitor, the rest five in the six-man gang have never been there, but chose to believe all the negative reports spread by these ex-disciples, Here’s a quote attesting to this from their site:

“We explained that the people who run TB Joshua Watch have NEVER been disciples. Of the six people that are involved to varying degrees in running the blog, only ONE has been to SCOAN, and this was only as a visitor”.

The two big questions that then come to mind are:-

Just how credible and reliable are the conclusions on SCOAN reached by those who have never been there before? If they’ve never been there as they themselves have affirmed, then exactly where did they get their supposed truths on TB Joshua and SCOAN?,
