it's ok to sway but not much because it's not too high.

But like he said, add tank and pump water. It will definitely reduce it
Thank you sir

Good evening oga michlins happy easter.

Please, I want to know if it is normal for a newly constructed stanchion tank (no water tanks on it yet) to sway when you give it a slight push from the top area?

My welder is telling me that, that's how all tanks sway, he said when we put up the tank and pump water it won't sway again.

The tank is for a bungalow building

Please I left my PC on sleep for about a week while plugged

Now, I noticed the screen is flickering

What can be the cause?

No I didn’t seat or hit it against anything, I haven’t moved it away from it position for a while now?

Properties / Re: How Can I Manage My Property While Overseas? by Wespur: 4:54pm On Oct 10, 2022
Caffeine:
Hello friends,
I am out of the country but have property back home. I don't recall the exact dimensions but it's at least a 100x100 (and a bit more) with a 3 bedroom apartment in it.

I am the eldest son with 2 brothers who are also overseas and our parents are deceased. We do not plan to live in Nigeria for the next 10 years (or whenever Osinbajo becomes president grin ).

We do not really want to sell (unless we receive a super-lucrative offer).

How can I best manage the property so that it doesn't deteriorate - especially the house. I do not go to Nigeria often.

The property is in the gwagwalada area of Abuja.

I may rent it out but I am a bit scared because I know that tenants in Nigeria can be unreliable and outright wicked. What will be your advice in such a case, I have not done this sort of thing before.

Are there any reputable/respectable agencies that manage properties for absentee landlords?

If there is an existing thread on this topic, kindly point me to it.

Lookup jide Taiwo and co. They manage properties nationwide

Have you ever answer question here before?
The issue is that when question is asked on this thread, non of your type answer because you're not sure if the theory you learn in school is same in practice.

That explains why those with practical kissexperience come forward with answers.
Well I won't come here to throw tantrums or banter...
However in engineering, experience is good but you shouldn't ever ever throw away the science or theory (in your words now)
Because no two cases are the same in engineering, each case should be treated individually..for instance in geotechnics one can have 5 different results within a plot...so it will be wrong to just come out and tell someone use y96 use y63....

The I too know syndrome has way overwhelmed this thread, plus y'all "engineer" (contractors) acts like y'all all are in carcus or something sort of

Truth to what hargbo said, you find some persons confidently dishing out head knowledge advise in place of structural functionality of each particular problem....

And when u sneeze they come out in their droves to attack!

I think you should have a flair for design....in any manner. You should be able to appreciate design and spend moments contemplating any work of art be it film, canvas, auto design etc before you can be creative.

I dont think knowing how to draw is a prerequisite to doing CGi. I dont draw. But having the ability is not bad.

You would need both artistic knowledge (garnered by subscribing to Cgi forums and blogts and youtubes) and your basic anatomy classes (which can easily be gotten from utube) for you to really appreciate character modeling. Whether you are going into stylized or realistic characters, a basic knowledge of anatomy is not bad...no need to know all the latin names of muscles or bones, just an overview of their placements and general forms in relation to the shape of the character.

For references, i have a library of images collected over the years. And i also get from google. I collect a lot of other artists work too. So while prepping for any xter, i go to my collections and scan via them, picking bits here and there. While modeling , i open several of these images in tabs often on a separate laptop. Normally, an artist who can draw would often sketch outlines before working but for peeps like me....refernce images serves as inspiros.

And to make things easier, i created a database of these images with tags. So if i want to do a muscular man say, i fire up my database and type muscular. All images under muscular comes up. Little little stuff like that makes ur life easy

Wow
Thanks bro, this is an eye opener

Continue the good work

2)artistical knowledge or anatomy knowledge which is more important to a beginner
