Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Do We Solve This Massive Unemployment Problem? by whitedrum: 4:09pm On Dec 11, 2011
“studying in the University with a mindset of becoming an entrepreneur on its own is commendable but will not solve the herculean unemployment problem in Nigeria as there are no enabling environments that could help grow small scale businesses. The government failed the people, the socio economical structures put in place have hitherto been shambolic, and even the people have failed themselves by not calling the thieving politicians to be accountable to them. “– Dele Oluwole

Nigeria government has the capacity to create millions of jobs in Nigeria. Let us look at IT for instance; millions of jobs can be created by the government just by creating infrastructures that would automate some government businesses/activities like;

A common database for the driver and vehicle licensing authority, health, financial, national identity card project, credit referencing, etc
Unify the whole process of individual identification with police, banks, health, immigration, social service, road transport, etc
Indexing of all parastatals, ministries, local council data

These multimillion dollar IT projects will not only create IT jobs but also improve the operations of government ministries, parastatals, etc. These projects can also improved management information system in the country and also directly impact the lives of ordinary man on the street.

There are some IT fields like software testing and the alternatives to project management like Scrum that seems not explored yet in Nigeria. Scrum is one aspect of IT that Nigerians have not explore. There is a link below for more information on Agile Scrum METHODOLOGY

Politicians in Europe and America will easily step down without been compelled when they miss it on policies or unnecessary claims but the reverse is the case in Nigeria where they seat tight and rant in defiance of public request.

There is a website where we can sign free online petitions and send to the presidency and national assembly to get these shameless politicians booted out of office.

The website will free of charge package the petitions, get it delivered by recorded delivery, and send copies to the relevant international bodies to the UN, EU, ECOWAS, FIFA, OIC, etc
