Hello. I tried applying for the scholarship and i was requested to provide a school ID on scholastica before proceeding. I'm in 100 level and we have not been given a school ID yet. What I have is a temporary ID slip given to me at MIS that will be used to collect the original. What can I do? Please, i need a response. |

ginaolo:I know you don't like the situation but i bet you don't know what it feels like to live with social anxiety disorder. You will never be able to understand. Please try all you can to help her through it. There is therapy and medication that can reduce it. But do not leave her because of this. People with social anxiety disorder( if true) put a front of independence and capability of being alone but deep down their greatest fear is the loneliness they know this illness can bring. Good luck. 2 Likes |

InansBobo: He did not exaggerate it. The only thing he did was not making his opinion clearer. So this is how it goes to the best of my knowledge: UNN actually does the each state representation pattern he mentioned above. You are likely to find at least 5 persons from each state in a department like medicine. Let's take an example that the mbbs cutoff mark is 325. Then for instance if the highest score of an mbbs aspirant from a state like Edo is 300, you will find some other persons from that state get admitted with scores like 295, 290, 285 until the required number of student allocated to the state is complete. The reason why most igbos are admitted and still find it difficult to get admitted is that a a lot of applicants come from that region. While 20 students might be fighting for a spot from Osun state, 1,500 students from Imo will be fighting for a slot on merit. So you don't except a candidate with 300 from Imo to get admitted but a candidate from kaduna with such score will get in with ease. I'm not saying it is a good method but this is how it is done for MERIT admission. Once you miss a slot here, connections and the likes massively come into play. All in all it is easier to get admitted into UNN mbbs when you are from states like Edo, Delta, Crossriver, Akwa ibom, kano etc than it is with Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo and the likes. Major reason why a trend now in UNN is to change one's state of origin. It's isn't fair but the system is already twisted. We can't play dumb and sacrifice our dreams. Everyone needs to get smart. I wish all aspirants the best this season. God help you all. Good luck. 1 Like |

XXMML33:This tells a lot about how twisted our country and basically the world of today has become. People do the extreme just for attention and to gain publicity because the world now rewards extremes. I do not support Tacha but if there is one thing I'm quite sure of..It is that she is not the person she displays herself to be on instagram. It is just a shame that she allowed herself to be tagged with such low image because she wanted publicity. I will never advice any young girl to stoop so low. But to each his own. 7 Likes |

Ademola47:Restrategize you say? Then why are you still applying UI that has rejected you twice. Except there is something you are not telling us as to why you didn't get in at UI. Have you been performing well? How close have you been to Mbbs cutoff mark so far? This will help to advice you on what next to do. All the best. |

bleckcorp:Ok. Well, first of all, I know you are aware that if you opt-in for any of the schools, you do not have catchment advantage. So I'll advise you opt-in for one that conducts direct entry exam so you can prepare well for the exam in order to boost your chances. Secondly, you can go through the MDCN website to check the accreditation status of the medical schools of the universities you mentioned. Once it's accredited, you have no worries. All things being equal. Good luck. |

bleckcorp:Congratulations on the completion of your degree. For the question you asked, I'll want to know if there are any reasons why you selected those 3 university in particular. |
For anyone familiar with Ahmadu Bello University admissions processes, how do I fare? I applied for Dental Surgery this year and below, the results:
Dental surgery at ABU? I'm surprised the school offers that course. Hope you made inquiries about the department. For the admission process, I'll say its a 50:50 chance. The school is not quite transparent with admission criteria. They don't release cutoffs or anything of that sort. I'll say be hopeful if your state falls within the catchment areas of the school. This post doesn't undermine your beautiful performance. Congratulations in advance. 1 Like |

Pocohontasboo:I understand dear. My advice is you opt for a school that combines both jamb and post ume. The rate at which people perform in waec these days is quite high and so you might be at a disadvantage considering the fact you wrote earlier. If I were you, I'll use the time I would have been using to read for GCE to read vigorously for jamb and pume. Then apply a school within your catchment area that combines jamb and postume. Please look to God for direction and Be smart. All the best. 4 Likes |

creolehunt:My observation is that the same way the housemates are strategic with their game plan is the same way real voters( bulk voters) are with their voting pattern. They tend to weigh the people on nomination list and then decide how much effort is needed for the week to ensure their contestant's safety. We can judge only on the final day when everyone would go all out. This is what I think. I might be wrong. 3 Likes |

ISISs:Congratulations. I'm surprised you've written second MB already. I thought it was after your 300level. All the best from here anyway. You got it. |

jess2019:Hope you've gone to his school to ensure that he isn't getting bullied. If you haven't, please try to make sure of that. Find out also what your son enjoys doing the most, this two facts can lead the situation somewhere positive. |

ModestGal:Let me know how i can be of help. Cheers |

tomiwaaa:Sad i didn't come across this post earlier. I would have advised you switch to UNN. The postume is something you can excel at easily with not so much effort since you've been in this for a while. I say that because a lot of jamb past questions are usually repeated and i guess you might be familiar with them by now. That could have pulled your mark higher. I scored 333 last year with very little effort(believe me). Secondly, states, where the number of applicants isn't much, are favored with a lower cutoff mark. Ogun is one of such states. Anyway whatever you decide in the end, I wish you the best. Just be smart this time. |

tomiwaaa:I know what it feels like. Just keep your head high and make smart choices especially with your school of choice. The God factor is finally the ultimate. Goodluck. |
![]() |
Jerrypolo:If the jamb change of course form is still on, go for it immediately and apply a school that's yet to conduct her postume or better still one that does not conduct at all(make sure your state of origin falls within the catchment area). Goodluck |

EdOgah:Great I must say. However, everyone is really on their feet so as not to get caught. The semester is short and you have to be alert in order to meet up with the school calendar. The rule now is fail a course and you have to repeat the year( not 100% sure) but that's the news flying around. Truth is if you can stay focused, I don't think one need to worry so much about failing. God overall in the end though. 1 Like |

Good evening everyone I'm really excited to be here. I registered on this forum mainly because of this thread. I've been an ardent guest viewer on this thread and a lot of comments here helped me in the pursuit of gaining admission into medical school. I'm glad to say that I GOT THERE. God did that. In a few months, I'll be starting preclinical. I thought to myself that the least I can do is return the favor. So guys if you have any question on how to keep your head high while pushing hard to get into medical school, I'll love to give the best advice I can. It gets hard I can assure you but with God and the right mindset, you'll find yourself there faster than you thought. Stay blessed. 6 Likes |
