Responsible for a variety of duties related to the development, enhancement and delivery of our web-based enterprise software system. If you are the person destined for this position, you have a combination of deep experience with all aspects of engineering a Web application, experience with databases and data-driven application systems, a history of working successfully in small innovative software teams, and a flexible, upbeat approach to working with colleagues.

Duties:
•To develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment.
•To understand how our applications operate, are structured, and how customers use them.
•To provide engineering support (when necessary) to our technical operations staff when they are building, deploying, configuring and supporting systems for customers.
•To participate with the engineering and operations teams to define plans for standardizing, scaling and enhancing our products and the services utilized to deploy, install, release those products.
•To participate in interactions with customers as a technical expert for product subsystems.
•To investigate, analyse and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications.
•To perform other duties from time to time as determined by management.
•To define functional specifications of the system for the appropriate hardware.
•To update and modify computer programs to improve efficiency.
•To perform work of high difficulty in designing, writing, editing, modifying, and debugging computer programs.
•To design scalable systems.

Requirements:

•Experience as a software engineer; demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks
•Software development experience in php,C# or Java.
•Experience developing data-driven applications utilizing significant relational database engines as part of the overall application architecture (experience with any or all of the following highly desirable: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
•Experience building web-based software systems, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models/implementations
•Experience with Web Technologies – HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3
•Product cycle experience – from inception to delivery

Pluses:
•Strong Evidence of Programming, Database Modeling, and Web Development
•Proficiency developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in Mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows
•Previous experience configuring and using any or all of the following highly desirable: JDBC/ADO.NET, Hibernate/NHibernate, MVC, AJAX, SOAP, REST, Log4j/Log4Net, Subversion, Git
•Experience with Agile software development is a plus
•Expert knowledge of computer languages.
•Expert knowledge of computer program design methods and techniques.
•Ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
•Expert knowledge of used operating systems.
•Expert knowledge of standard development tools.
•Ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures.
•Good knowledge of security and encryption.
•Team player and great collaborator, also self-motivated and able to work independently

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
•Required: High School Certificate
•Desired: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience.

Personality: Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision. Be determined and able to work individually or in a team.

Specific Job Skills:
•Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•Must have great command of the English language.
•Work experience in a Value Added Service position in a Mobile Network is an advantage.

We won't be asking you the questions that are found on some interviews website or terminology, so don't spend time referring to such websites if you are serious about joining us. Spend time bettering your testing skills.
Experienced Testers
You could have lots of years of experience and we'd be delighted to see how good it has helped you. Please test a project from http://sf.net/ and send us your test report along with your name, contact number and an e-mail ID. If you want to tell us that you are an excellent bug hunter, test automation specialist or whatever tool expertise you have, please consider demonstrating that through the project you are testing.
If your test report interests us, we would ask you to send us your CV / resume and we will provide you with a testing challenge. Once you send in your entry to the testing challenge, we would invite you for an interview which again could be hands on. It really doesn't matter if you are certified by the biggest certification board. What matters to us is that you clear our interviews.

Experienced Developers
If you want to tell us that you are a code ninja, show us what you have done before. Not your certificate.

Hopping from non-IT to testing?
We'd like to encourage anyone who has a passion to test to join us. You could have been working in a Tech Support or a BPO.
