fredopayee: Award my foot. With all that una plagiarism?? Copy and paste is a criminal offence!!!That's the reason for the awards, to differentiate the people that are fake from the people actually doing the real thing, some people we know are not worth it. But we mustnt take out the fact that some Nigerians out there are good at what they do and we believe they should be celebrated. |

A step towards the direction of education has been made by News Corps. Although full specifications are not yet out the company is launching a tablet under the android platform that will open up new, affordable experiences for learning in schools. The tablet is made specifically for the education market which was branded back in July to Amplify. The 10-inch Android tablet will run custom software. The uniqueness of this brand is its simplification educational activities when students have to log in and have access to a lot of apps while in the class rooms also with notebooks on the right hand side which allow quick access to different subjects. Teachers are able to add materials directly to these subjects by class period. Teachers will have such features as taking attendance, blocking apps, polling student comprehension, pushing specific materials to students who need it, and the ability to build custom lesson plans or “Playlists” that include content from digital textbooks or Khan Academy. The device isn't available to all carriers yet and as at now its works on yearly subscriptions. The Amplify tablet is also available with LTE for $349. However, the two-year subscription at $99 per year is still required and the cost of mobile data through AT&T will run $179 per year. Do the maths by converting it to your currency *chuckles*. You can always order online for your kids.

The South Korean giants, Samsung, will be having an eye tracking technology in the soon to be released, Samsung Galaxy S4. The device is scheduled to be announced in New York in March 14 which is in a few days time and released afterwards. According to New York Times report cited a Samsung employee who revealed that the new phone will use a technology that will allow for automatic scrolling and page turning when a user’s eyes reach the bottom of the screen. There was also a presumption that the same technology will even allow for eye-controlled video games. Its also been announced that the major difference between the Galaxy S4 and its other counterparts will be its software upgrade while only a little will be done on its hard ware. The eye-tracking technology eliminates the need for physical input devices when browsing or scrolling. Huawei is out to break another record, its like they just enjoy it. A few days after the record of largest smart phone screen was broken by them, they are at it again but this time they are set to break Alcatel’s newly announced One Touch Idol Ultra record of “world’s thinnest smartphone”. Engadget released that, Huawei, the Chinese company is preparing to the new Ascend P2 S. The phone which will be released by February will be an advancement of Ascend P1 S. Its also rumoured to be at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Enough details are not available yet but speculation has it that it will have an Aluminum body, instead of a plastic body. Moreover, I would guess it will be on par with high-end feature set current super phones boast, meaning it will have a full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, quad-core processor, 13-megapixel camera on the back and so on. Needless to say, we expect Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to be the operating system. Continue reading from http://www.jastworld. |

A semester is supposed to last for the normal 4 or 5months but some factors this year made the calender to be one month late. The session this year wud finish November. I am a student of the school. |
