If you recently got admitted at Florida International University, FIU for the Spring semester and you need accommodation, hook me up. I’ve got an affordable room.

Travel / Re: U.S. Student Visa (F1, M1, & J1) Forum - We're Listening by WillyWest: 1:08pm On Aug 11, 2017
Dear Sir,

I went for my F1 VISA interview on July 13th (13/7/2017) and was handed a yellow paper to come back with some additional documents as my application requires ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. I submitted the requested documents along with my passport at the DHL pickup point on July 21th (21/7/2017). I still haven't received a reply from the Embassy as regards my visa.

Meanwhile orientation and Class starts 18th and 21st August respectively which is barely a week away.

Please what are the chances of me getting my VISA before start of classes and what advice will you give me regarding this issue?

Case Number - AA00722A6E

Thank you in anticipation of your reply.

They must ship it.. I assumed your school send it via post office and it takes longer than expected..

Contact you school and find out if they sent it via postal mail or courier because using courier you get a tracking number..

Each schools with their policy and not all school send PDF or scan copy for you to cross check if your details were input correctly..

Thanks boss.

When you get to Wes website you will see it there and after reading it you will understand it better because I don't know the grammar to use to explain, but they evaluate all your courses that you did from year one to final year and that's what most school asked for..

After admitted you proceed by getting your admission packet with the i20 and pay for the shipping if it's not free and then pay sevis fee and visa fill. Also fill your ds160 form and book appointment for visa interview.

Good afternoon Walspring regarding the bolded part, I've been offered admission and was told to expect some documents from the school (its almost a week and I've not heard back sha). I believe the I-20 is one of such document, Aren't they just going to send it as a PDF for for me to download, is it something they must ship down as hard copy and have me pay for??<<

There is 99.9% chances the VO won't even ask about how you'll be funding your studies as long as your funding is stated on your I-20.

All the best at your interview.

That's reassuring thank you, I will ensure I look out for this on the I-20.

I would try and get someone's account with more money in addition to what you have (someone that can act as sponsor)...even if everything totals one semesters worth of fees. They might want to see if you have a backup should you lose your funding. If you can't get one, just go with what you have...they might not ask you.

Thanks Bro, you have made it easier for me. All that's left is to find such a person.

Greetings all I just got an PhD Offer from Florida International University with full tuition waiver and a competitive GTA Assitantship including Insurance. If you will be resuming this falls at FIU kindly lets rub minds.

Meanwhile I have a question as I await my I-20,

1) I am a civil servant and my bank statement is really less than N500k. Will this be a problem at the interview? As in since the school is covering my school fees and will pay me a good stipend will the VO is make a big deal about my not having lots of funds??

That got nothing to do with having virgin passport, people with travel history experience delay as well so its normal for application to take that long sometimes.

Thanks bro, I was granted the VISA just a day to my proposed trip. Currently typing this from the heart of London. It all seems like a dream right now

Webmasters / Look Facebook Notification Just Got A New Makeover!!! by WillyWest: 9:01pm On Jan 07, 2016
Facebook promised to constantly offer modifications and improvement to make the world best social network ahead of competitors and to offer a user experience such that no one is left out irrespective of location or social status.

One of such modifications came early this year, though it could be considered a very minor change. This change can be noticed on the “Notification” button on your Facebook home page – yea we are all familiar with this button. and it looks like what’s shown below in image 1

However Facebook engineers decided to redesign the “Notification” globe to suit their users from other parts of the world. What this means is that people who live in North and South America would see the “Notification” globe as depicted above but people who live on the other side like Africa and Asia would see whats shown below in Image 2

Notice the difference? cool shey?? Well they promise more to come. Log on your Facebook and see for yourself.

PS

This can only be noticed when you log on face book from a computer or laptop browser as Facebook on mobile browsers or apps are yet to be so engineered.
