First and Foremost, go get her international Passport. Becos if I ask u to write NVC first, they will still tell u to send a copy of her birth certificate, and a Bio-data page of her international passport. So go get that first before writing NVC.

In my own case my baby was just 10days old the day he captured for his international passport. The immigration officers were asking me, madam where u wan carry this baby run go?. I was working with time, because my case completed Sept, last year and then I had him Feb. Had to do everything sharply. The case was reopened to include him and then finally completed in April.

So u still have time. Nurse your baby well before taking her to get hers.

I gave birth to a baby girl last week Wednesday, I have already added my spouse and other kids to my case, do I need to write to nvc before adding the baby, or I send her birth certificate directly since I have the email address.

Once need to understand this marriage issue especially when processing immigrant visa. My girlfriend gave birth to our first kid in 2012, same year my stepmum filed f1 visa for me, another one in 2014 . The problem was her family members especially her mum...they were pushing us to get married which I can't in other not change my case to f3 because of the waiting period. Until I explained the whole scenrio to her mum that I have plan to marry their daughter but not until I move to US and come back. It was so frustrating my people

It's better you wait to get your green card before you get married, I was formally on f1, I got married before I was called for my interview and my case changed to f3. Am still waiting for my f3 case to be current.

Hello my peoples. I got my Visa approved today, to the Glory of God. Had a 6.30 am appointment. I was scared of using taxify cos I didn't know whether they work very early hours of the morning, so I got a yellow cab man to be in my house by 4a.m. o boy , the Cabman reach my place 2.30a.m. I say today na today. God bless him though for arriving earlier than expected. Got my kids set and we left the house at 4.10. got to the embassy to 5. Before we could say jack Robinson, na 6a.m ooo. We join queue. We were moving quickly cos I had 3boys with me, one on the baby carrier then my drama boy, ( my 3yr old) and then my little helper, my 6yr old. We got stuck in front. My 3yr old start drama. We finally entered. Got in, @ the naija section was called in to put passport photographs in passport, original birth certificate, medical report. Me way pack all my photo copies, not knowing that my mom gave them photo copies when she mailed my form to NVC. She gave them extra plus jara cos everything wey I carry them no collect 1. I just carry load go, carry load come back. Then we sat down and waited. For finger printing. Na so my drama boy start him own ooo. He didn't let his brother share his seat with him, not to talk of others, them just dey hail me, say mama boys, the Lord is your strength.
Only 2 VO's on the immigrant section 1 male 1 female. The male VO, white on window 19 seemed nice and calm. I sat across to him was watching the ppl he was questioning before me. I was like lord let this man call me. He eventually did. I went in. my boys were just playing. I just sat baby down and faced him and he asked me.

Me: Good morning Sir.
VO: good morning. Do you swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth I said yes. And then he took my finger print to represent mine and the kids.
VO: first question: how long has your mom been in the U.S , I told him.
When last did she come to Nigeria, I told him,
What did you guys do when she came to Nigeria, I told him, we went swimming, to the movie s etc. He asked which movie we saw, I said I can't remember. He said what car does my mom drive I told him.
Then he said how often does my mom come to Nigeria, I said every year Until 2015, he said ok do you have pictures of your mum and the kids I said yes. Passed him the pictures . First thing he was pics of us swimming , my mum playing with her grand children. And then he saw my step dad and asked who's The Man in the middle and I said oh That's my stepdad. And then he nodded and said oh ok by stepdad that's mom's husband , looked through our WhatsApp call records and passed it to me.
And then the question I was waiting for.
VO : what about your kids dad, I said oh my Boyfriend, and then he said your not married yet, I said no. And he said why is that, I said when my mom petitioned for me, the first thing she said to me was don't get married. The process will take longer if you are married cos she wants us with her as soon as possible. He nodded. And said I should pls give him a few minutes. He went in, after sometime he came out, and then asked me how long have you and your boyfriend been dating I said since 2010. And he said to me, your Visa has been approved. I said thank you Sir. And he passed me the collection papers and the form to pay the $220 immigrant fee.
He didn't ask for my Opt out approval letter. I think they had notified them. Cos they wrote F2B boldly on my File.
He didn't ask for any other documents. My mom had updated them with everything. As I pack the docs go, na so I pack am come back. I thank God for everything. Thanking all of you on this thread too. Yes they aren't for migration, just for visiting. Like for my cousin we will change her visa status to student visa once she enter but my sis in law just want to have an avenue to enter and go back for business purposes.

my cousin is in school but i want her to get a b1/b2 visa before we finally relocate so she can join us letter when we settle down, she is 21 and i dont really know how to apply for her visa, as in i learnt they dont really give single young people visa.

My first interview was denied, I and my sister were little then, guess I was 10yrs old. My second was very funny, I wasn't prepared at all, in fact I felt it's was my dad's normal story, cos we were once filed us when we were much younger and we were denied, dad was a green card holder and his wife didn't provide some documents that was needed. I had lost all hope and my mind wasn't there at all, he filled for my elder sister and left me hanging, I was really angry with him.
Due to that I didn't take him serious only for me to wake up late, interview was 7am, I got there after 8 and it all went well. Just keep calm, God is in control.

Can u imagine. Thought I had posted to u on ur question about retrogression. I finished typing it, didn't know i didn't post it. In addition to what Oladeep said, Let me explain better. Last year, F1 experienced a retrogression towards the end of the Fiscal year. From cut off dates "Dec 2010", it went back a couple of months, either May 2010 or June 2010 I can't remember. But the following month it returned back to Dec 2010. But ever since that retrogression, F1 has not remained the same. It has seen little to no movements for almost another year. So retrogression only slows things down. Is not what someone should pray for.

Ahhhh, this is really terrible, I pray it doesn't happen, cos right now am enjoying the 1and half month movement. How are you doing and the kids? Sure you r preparing for your interview, abeg read ur GMAT well for the interview o Don't mind me just joking

No mind me. I don tire come dey type wetin I no know. The doctor that takes the blood work gave them a mild injection. He said something about skin. That the injection is for kids from ages 2 up, and that after 72hrs the kids need to be back so they can check the effect of the injection on their skin. Then the main vaccination, my 2yr old took 5injections. 1 on the leg, 2 on his left arm, 2 on his right arm. My 6yr old took four 2 on the left 2 on the right. Baby just took Rotavirus oral. It was only baby that I had his immunization records. (Pls if u have ur kids immunization records, u will save less. I no get any so they had to give them a lot of vaccines. Was told it's the vaccines that increases the bill.

I still have their immunization card, will have to keep it well now, all this vaccines for the kids, it's much oh. I dislike seeing my kids taking injection.

Just leaving now. Since morning . Not easy at all. going back again on Saturday. There was a vaccine they gave my boys in the skin. Said we should come back on Saturday for them to read the results of the vaccine on their skin. @ Wilsub they will ask u to do same for ur 4 and 2yr old. After that, Na till collection day.

I don't think attestation is valid for 6 months. Attestation I submitted to Uscis in 2011 is the same I sent to NVC last year and I still gave a copy of it at the embassy. I didn't even need to drop the new one I did last month(I did a new one because my petitioner submitted the original to uscis)

Honestly the thing fear me cos I dont know why it should be like that, maybe it an avenue for npc to make more money.
@ pretty16 how is it going, hope you have someone to assist cos going out with kids is not easy at all.

Your petitioner pays for it, when a DNA was requested for my sister, my dad paid for it, but in my own case they didn't request for it cos I have plenty picture evidence and we r carbon copy, the resemblance no be here. �
