Yes we live together , evidence is our both names are in the utility bill

giselle237:
your parents and her are not same circumstances.. so many diff abound.
I guess u re worried about other things in terms of child’s father, your pending divorce and this visit.. well you can’t know except u try.
You said the child’s father lives in the uk, do you and him live in the same home? Is there a genuine and subsisting relationship between the both of you with evidence? ?

Her daughter is a senior executive director in one of the bank in Nigeria , the father of the child lives in the U.K. as a student , he is rounding up his studies , his mother will return back to her husband back home as she is her husband carer( he is Ill) but he will be taken care of by the daughter for the three weeks she will spend in the U.K. she does not have any side business , her children takes care of them , (my parents that I brought last year to the U.K. don’t do anything as well , I told home office that their kids i and my siblings takes care of them) my child’s grandma use to live in Russia years ago with her family as an expatriate before returning to Nigeria. All Property and assets are in her husband’s name
My concern is if I am able to invite her rather than her son who is the baby father since I will be the one showing my finances and not her son.

giselle237:
What are the financial circumstances of her daughter in nigeria? How does she earn a living? where does the father of the child live? Apart from being retired, what ties does your child’s grandma have again to Nigeria? Does she have a side business? anything bringing in income? does she have a husband to say she will return to?

Good morning everyone

Please a quick one
So I invited my parents for omugwo when I had my baby august of last year and they stayed three months and left. I sponsored everything cos I am on a divorce process and my soon to be divorced husband is not the father of my child. We didn’t have any children together.

My child’s father is on a student visa so he can’t really invite his mum due to his finances so I was wondering if I can be the one to invite his mum without involving the father in the application. I want for her to come for summer to see her grandchild and I will sponsor the whole trip. She is a retired nurse and she gets financial help from her own children. If I can invite her , how would I classify her in my invitation letter Since I am not yet married to her son as my divorce is not yet finalised.

Or would it be better for her daughter based in Nigeria to act as her financial sponsor while I say I would be accommodating her at my house

Thank you
